I realize thrift stores rely on donations, but several items we picked up were marked boutique but appeared more than lightly worn. Many of the clothing items were heavily worn and not in good repair. A necklace behind the counter was missing more than a few gems. The store is organized by categories but the lighting is awful, and makes it seem dirty even if it isn't, and there are dead ends/blocked aisles that require you to turn around and go the other way. Staff seemed friendly enough. I interacted 3 times with a young male teen and he seemed pretty low key minimal interaction but by the 3rd chat we hit it off to to speak. He's probably just slow to warm up. I did try on a few clothing items that I purchased. My friend also found something. But I don't think we will add this to our list of shops to frequent.

However, over the last few months they've been changing their pricing. Items that used to cost under $7 are now over $10. There are some items that they list at what would be typical MSRP. For example, an Under Armor hoodie with a big stain on it was listed for $20. This doesn't limit itself to clothes, I found several single quart Rubbermaid containers for $5 when a pack of 4 is around that. It seems like they only pay attention to the name of the brand and then ignore the condition of the items. The workers are always nice and the service is good. It sucks that they adjusted the prices on everything.

One hundred percent of the proceeds of items sold at this shop funds the Helotes Humane Society located right next door. The old house is the thrift shop. A driveway with a sign for drop off will direct you to the back of the house. A large sign is posted on the fence of items they do not accept. All the items sold at the thrift shop are well organized and labeled nicely. There are so many good finds! Lots of antiques and vintage items too. The ladies that work at the shop are very kind, friendly, and helpful. I bought a vintage knit nativity scene that I absolutely love, Christmas lights, coasters, and a tree skirt. They offer military discount on Thursday and senior discount on Friday. I had a blast at this shop and will be back. Besides the Helotes Humane society next door, there's also a small dog park behind it.

By the time I left, about 1 hr later, that parking lot was full. The amount and piles of clothing are insane, but as someone mentioned in the comments, you really have to be persistent and dig to get quality clothing, which, spoiler alert, I didn't! There were so many people, it was impossible to move around with ease, and I didn't have the patience to sort through all that mess for the perfect clothing item. Plus, the noise and assortment of running, crying and yelling children was not fun. After an hour, I could take no more, and speed walked out of there. I will say the value was amazing, though. On Tuesdays, they sell the clothing for .50! That's right, each piece less than a dollar, which explains the crowds and overflowing carts throughout the place. So the value is there, I just needed the endurance, know-how and focus, to find a great piece. Honestly, I don't know if I'll return. I may need more training on the Art of thrift. I was not impressed by the lack of higher end brands, so I'll continue shopping at my known spots. Before you go, this store isn't like other thrift stores, things aren't often as pristine (I was looking for stained clothes so this wasn't an issue), and the racks aren't really sorted. There's normally a giant pile of clothes to right of the entrance you'll see people rifling through. I thoroughly enjoy this store, but you need to have a good feel to find quality clothes. Tonight I scored J. Crew pink pants with no flaws. It's in there, just hard to find. That being said even not-so-great clothes are easy accept when the prices are so cheap. This is consistently the cheapest thrift store I've been to and I really appreciate that fact. They price to sell.

There were plenty of employees behind the counter. I walked around and noticed the purses, which were very cute. Then I walked to the pant section and then the dresses section. I finally chose a dress and a pair of pants to try on. One on asked if I needed help or if I needed a dressing room. Which was very disappointing. I finally asked an employee for a dressing room. They fit but not to my liking so I looked awhile longer but didn't buy anything. I was expecting a thanks for come or come again since there was at least four people behind the counter. I'll try coming back again maybe next time the employees will be more help or cheerful.
