Many of my favorite antiques have come from this charming little place in Helotes. Whenever I stop by B Daddy's BBQ next door, I walk over to Old Town Depot Antiques to see what's new. The selection is vast and includes everything from Victorian-era posh to 1950s small-town Americana. As a spiritualist, I'm particularly drawn to the variety of crystals and tarot card decks. As a WWII enthusiast, I am impressed by the variety of American and German guns, knives, and military paraphernalia. The prices are reasonable, and I've found many bargains, including a set of antique doorstops that...well...I really shouldn't talk about here. I know that last sentence sounds mysterious (because it is), but feel free to contact me If you're curious. I assure you it's an interesting story with an accompanying video. The woman who operates the store is friendly and quick to offer suggestions. Unlike many antique store owners (those presumably mindful of potential shoplifters), she will leave you be and let you enjoy your visit. She has given me several great deals over the last few years, so don't be afraid to negotiate. The one-star reviews on this page are laughable; the staff here are very friendly and accommodating to everyone I've ever seen, irrespective of race or ethnicity. If you sensed "bad vibes," then perhaps that's a reflection on *you*, not your ethnicity. Fans of the feline variety, take note: the shop's true owner is "Rascal," a cute little fellow who, if you're charmed like me, will greet you as you enter the premises. Rascal lived up to his name on a recent visit, as he mugged for my camera (see photos) and followed me around the store to offer insight into the various trinkets behind the counter. Sadly, he is not for sale...though no cat really is for sale; cats own you, not the other way around. Definitely a five-star experience!

If you are an artist, an antique collector, a decorator, or someone who has interests that aren't ever satisfied at run-of-the mill "junk" stores this is your place. The folks who run this place are very friendly and interested in helping you find what you need. They're kind of kooky, too. Just go. An afternoon out wandering through and wondering "what am I looking at" is an afternoon spent well enjoying what Ye-Ya's is all about. I love this place. I can't wait to go back.

Parking was convenient and the shop was spacious and laid out for easy browsing. We wandered in and out of each booth and found an eclectic selection of items from vintage garb to antique jewelry, books, most reasonably priced. Something I do not like about antiques malls is the inability to have a best price offered or lowered. Yes, the vendor on duty will call and try to reach a dealer for a better price, but it seems they usually offer only 10% if that. Still my friend and I purchased a few items and were happy with our finds. If you like perusing antique malls put Staging Post on your list!

I think they even had freeze dried candy at one point. This place has it all. The staff is very helpful and answers all questions. So if I'm correct, artists or anyone selling rent out an area, the store runs it all week, and you get paid. I think. They have everything from vintage clothing, furniture, toys, records, books, and decor. I think you can find anything here you were looking for, and even things you weren't. The only negative, and I don't think it's the store, is some of the collectibles like toys or trading cards are overpriced, like above market. There are still deals to be had though. Definitely recommend it, a lot of the stuff brought back fond memories for me.

I realize thrift stores rely on donations, but several items we picked up were marked boutique but appeared more than lightly worn. Many of the clothing items were heavily worn and not in good repair. A necklace behind the counter was missing more than a few gems. The store is organized by categories but the lighting is awful, and makes it seem dirty even if it isn't, and there are dead ends/blocked aisles that require you to turn around and go the other way. Staff seemed friendly enough. I interacted 3 times with a young male teen and he seemed pretty low key minimal interaction but by the 3rd chat we hit it off to to speak. He's probably just slow to warm up. I did try on a few clothing items that I purchased. My friend also found something. But I don't think we will add this to our list of shops to frequent.

What I love most is the daily deals. The employees are always super helpful. They also have an area referenced as their "Boutique" items which are higher end items that are a little more pricey but again very good finds at a fraction of the retail price and in very good condition.

In the vintage business myself, I really appreciated this shops curation of mid century modern…read morepieces. They have impeccable taste! The prices were great, and they were running a sale which made it even better. The addition of records, vintage tees, and small decor made it hard not to leave without making a purchase. The person running the counter was a delight and a half! So friendly and helpful, bringing a lot of joy to the experience. Cant wait to go back!

One of the ladies working was vey helpful as we tried to figure out if a sideboard could work in a particular space of the house. Also very much enjoyed looking through the drinkware options within the store. I think this location has a great setup and will give you so many ideas.
