We explored the cooler full of fun treats, shelves of beautiful canned/tinned items, and gorgeous flower arrangements. I tried the Kitchen Sink salad, which included delicious homemade falafel and hummus. I'm not a vegetarian or vegan myself, but I still loved the plant-based options for protein! They also offer a lot of gluten free items in addition to vegetarian ones. The staff were friendly and kind and very helpful with suggestions! I'll be back if I'm in the area!

A fantastic little neighborhood deli with great sandwiches and a lot more…read more I love the number of options at Food Shoppe - from their awesome sandwiches to pizza to a wide variety or prepared and packaged foods. I usually get sandwiches - all of which feature high-quality ingredients (particularly in the meat and bread areas). My personal favorite is the Blazing Buffalo Crunchy sub - deli buffalo chicken with crispy onions, buffalo sauce and cheese on a nice crunchy roll. Here are my tips: - Things get kinda crazy around lunchtime. I like to go around 11:30 or wait until 1 pm. That being said, even when you go at primetime the wait is reasonable. - Their deli case has some great pre-made options if you don't want a sandwich. Crab cakes are my preference, but I haven't had a bad experience with anything else. - Don't expect to go here instead of the grocery store. While they have some butcher and produce items, its really a pantry supplement kind of place. - Consider their catering and pre-made family meals. They are fantastic!

Was in town recently on business & a coworker suggested we try this place. We did make reservations…read morebut the place didn't seem very busy when we were there. It is pretty small, though, so if they do get busy, reservations would be necessary. The menu is either a vegetarian fixed option or a vegan fixed option (apps, choice of salad & entree, and dessert) and comes with suggested wine pairings for an additional fee. I had the vegan options and my coworkers had the vegetarian options. We didn't have the wine pairings but I did have to try 2 of their cocktails - the salt & vinegar was so good! It really did taste like a salt & vinegar potato chip in martini form! It was so good!! The other one I had was an heirloom tomato kind of drink - it was like a very gentle Bloody Mary, you could taste the wine in it but then you also could taste the tomato part. The food was also delicious - the portions were sufficient, the plating was really pretty and the flavor of everything was really interesting (never would have thought you could make cabbage into pastrami!). There is an option to have both entrees so I did and the lions mane was also delicious. The dessert was probably not my favorite, it was some kind of blueberry thing, but it was still tasty. I would definitely come back again the next time I'm in town!

The meatballs were generous sized, soft and tender. the bread was toasted perfectly, the sauce was delish and it was oozing with cheese.
