I love all libraries. I'm a library gal. I love books. This is a nice branch and is actually affiliated with both CML and Worthington Library. I sat with my laptop and did some work. It's easy to use their wi-fi and you don't need a password. They have a handy drive-up pick-up window. read more

This is a really fun library. They have a wonderful children's area. There is a large fort in the back with large wooden doors like those on a castle. They have story time in this area. It's really fun to participate in story time with the other children. Check the website for times that are appropriate for your children. Have fun! read more

Oh my god! Shut the front door! I can't believe I did not even know about this location all this time! I must have been living under a rock! My friends there is this library which is located beyond the yonder of our good ole Dublin, Ohio just off Hard Road. I don't know how I did not get the memo it exists and is apart of the Columbus Metropolitan Libraries. The Columbus Metropolitan Library system has a pool of branches and I did not notice this one!! The libraries atmosphere is most inviting. Very open and I just love the ambiance. The building is big and spacious but the parking lot is a little funny. When you first come in there's one area to park then there's the library in the middle along with three other wacky ways to park around the library. I came when the library opened at 9 AM this morning the cleaner must have thought I was some crazy chick trying to get in and out of the library but it was truly my first time. I was just trying to find a meeting room but they were taken so fast by other people who requested the rooms. Had I made more time, I would have explored the library in full detail and noticed each section from young adult to adult books. As well as the DVD's/Blu-Ray section. I just like exploring everything when I first visit a library I've never been to. I do have assumptions that this library may have been linked to the Worthington library system before and maybe apart of it. Although I'm not 100% sure if I'm right. The librarians here are really helpful and willing to help you book that room or understand why it was not booked. Man- I hadn't been here in awhile but I stopped a couple of weeks ago since I was nearby. It's a good branch (formerly Worthington, I think) with a nice building, big selection, and plenty of computers. It's not really near anything, which is good for the neighborhood I guess, but makes it hard for me to swing by. Parking is ample, if a little unusually arranged. I'm sure I'll be back, and any library is a good one to me, but I guess I've moved on... read more

Best library I have ever been to. The staff is so wonderful, and will bend over backwards to help you. I love, love, love the fireplace - what a nice place to cozy up to and read on a cold winter's day. But not be outdone is the pollinator garden outside. The drive-through window is a plus - especially during COVID and on rainy days - AND, my dog looks forward to getting a dog treat at the window too. I love all the special things the staff does - such as making up "Binge Packs" to borrow, special activities for kids - and adults too, aids to handicapped patrons, recycling efforts etc. If you want the best library in the city, this is the one. read more

The children's area and librarians cannot be beaten. Story time with Ms Jenny was the highlight of my son's week every week from the time he was born until entering preschool. Today, we went in and A new children's librarian named Jason introduced himself. He was instantly helping my son pick out books and was even reading sample pages in order to help him choose a few good books. His recommendations were great and we are beyond grateful for this library. read more

Am I really writing a review about a library, yes. I moonlight as a Spanish tutor to earn extra coinz, I call it saving for my next adventure fund. True confession I have not been to a library in over 7 years, the last time college. In that little time the library has truly made some dynamic changes. My favorite change is the availability of streaming movies on the library website by Freegal. Oh and they renewed my library card that I opened in 1990 at the MLK branch on the East side and waived my uh not so minor fines. I love the overall feel of this library, great Foreign language section, and loads of space to study or meet :-) Can't wait to continue my tutoring sessions at this branch! read more

FYI: This review is coming from someone that hasn't entered a public library in, probably, 11 years. This library is AWESOME. I love, love, love it. It's right near my house (which is the biggest perk) but I love that I can sign onto their website, request my book, and then they email me when it's ready. I'm sure A LOT of libraries do this now but I know for a fact that the library in my hometown does not. I also love the easy, checkout process. If I have three books that I've requested, then I go over to the request shelves and pick them up. The self-checkout process is so simple and I'm out of there within 3 minutes. If I choose to spend LONGER than 3 minutes in the library, they have a great area to use computers, sit and read, and a great movie/music selection. I've also been quite impressed with the children's section and activities (even though I don't have kids). Overall, a fabulous resource and I'm so glad it's part of my community. read more

The only truly bad thing about the Hard Road branch is that it is on Hard Road, named so because it is hard to get to from anywhere in the city, or even in the quad of the city, unless you live on the road. And that's a shame because this is the best branch campus of the Columbus Metropolitan Library system. A beautiful, just beautiful interior is in the rather mundane midcentury building. It looks like a school or post office from the street but the bright sunny walls inside--earth tones and purple--brings a creative charm; these were born from remodeling done a few years ago that changed a boxy, drab space into a cozy plus modern expanse from door to back. In the back is a lounge by a fireplace. The children section is large and behind a fun trellis. The video/audio section is vast, larger than the Whetstone branch. There are plenty of computers to use and the staff here is uber-helpful; you get the sense they take pride in their jobs and in this place. Their book collection on the other hand seem smaller than they are at others branches. Of course CML transfer procedures can make this less a problem if you don't need a title immediately. Another gripe is that magazines and other periodicals are skimpy in selection and missing some of my favorites. This ranks it under Upper Arlington's Tremont branch for me. Yet in total this is a star library. If only it was easier to get too. read more

My daughters love the pajama story time, ages 10 months and 5 years! There is a spacious reading and play area which has been clean and organized well whenever we visit. Right next to that there is a tablet and computer area. The tech is equip with apps and games that cater to a large rang of children from pre-k through grade school. The reading selection for adults is also great. It's easy to make a trip with the whole family, everyone enjoys their time there. read more

This library branch is part of the Worthington Library System. Although separate, they do participate in a materials sharing consortium with the Metropolitan Columbus and Southwest Public Library Systems. So, if you are looking for something that is not available at the branch, they are able to obtain material copies through their collaboration. The library's location is conveniently located with easy local access. There is plenty of parking spots here at this location. They are always quite busy. I am grateful that they offer a free, large size conference room that can be reserved on-line by the public. Interior is a contemporary, relaxing environment. They take advantage of some of the latest technology. The staff have always been very helpful with questions. read more

I have nothing but good things to say about this library. Helpful staff, great location, center and the on-line Columbus Library system working in tandem with Worthington Libraries rocks. I just wish they would come up with an app that let's me reserve books...etc. on my mobile device and I think I'd be in love. Consider a donation if you are a hard core library user, I know they save me THOUSANDS of dollars every year and can use the extra funds. read more

One of the best libraries in Columbus-- a collaboration between CML and Worthington. Access to almost any materials you could want, phenomenal programming and customer service. The drive-through window makes reserve pickup so easy that I feel slightly guilty for being so lazy. A homework help center assists students after school. New activity packets and technology kits are a treat! read more

I visited this library couple of times. Pleasant atmosphere, advance technology and wide collection of books decorates this library with more than 5 stars. My wife was using this library for english learning class. Wow.. Free conference room was great help. Staff is very very friendly and equally knowledgable. read more

While this branch of the Worthington and Columbus Library system is a wonderful place to visit, with a large collection of materials and an amazing children's section and programs. However, the parking lot is a fatality waiting to happen. The stops are regularly ignored by both patrons and staff. The only solutions per the Library was to repaint and highlight the walkway, replace a faded sign, and trim branches on the one direction. No additional measures, such as a speed bumps or additional stop sign for the opposite direction that were suggested in paper format, have been applied. Please watch your family at this location because stopping is optional in the parking lot. read more

Yelping about numerous experiences I have had at the Northwest Library on Hard Rd in Worthington ...I'll start with the "story garden" located in the back of the kids section..if you have a newborn through 4 years old I highly recommend visiting this area of the library... Monday thru Thursday's @ the Story Garden they have Babytime and Tales for 2's & 3's. Babytime is for newborns to 2 years while Tales for 2's and 3's are for the appropriate ages.. The stories and sing-a-longs are led by Miss Jennifer... who is absolutely wonderful!! She leads the stories and songs, interacting with the parents and children with love and ease... she makes the programs special and it's easy to see how much she enjoys her job... both Tales and Babytime have stories music singing visual aids and participation... don't feel awkward if you are a first timer, all parents and babies are welcomed with open arms... participation and interaction with your child makes the programs fun informative and beneficial to your child's development... the story garden has a large cabinet full of toys for kids to play with before and after each program... programs are generally 25-30 minutes, the area can and does fill up fast certain days, I recommend getting there about 5 minutes before program begins... you will know most of the sing-a-longs, enjoy the Bubbles in The Air at the conclusion of your program... kids love it!! Do yourself and your baby a favor and stop at the Northwest Library for one of their children's programs, you will become a regular read more
