I had an excellent experience with Northwest Frame Repair. I shipped in a pair of custom progressive glasses that had been sitting unused in their case for over a year. When I finally started wearing them, one of the arms broke at the hinge. Multiple local optical shops told me the frames could not be repaired, but I was referred to this company and decided to try. The process is mail-in. You complete an online form, print it out, include it in the package, and ship your frames to them. Once received, they perform a physical assessment of the glasses and provide a repair estimate. The assessment itself is free, and there is no obligation to proceed with the repair after receiving the quote. I appreciated having time and flexibility to decide. After I approved the repair and was able to arrange payment online, they completed the work and notified me when it was finished. I requested UPS return shipping for added security, and they provided tracking information through delivery. When my glasses arrived back, I was genuinely impressed. The repair is seamless & there is no visible sign of damage at the left temple where the break occurred. The frames were securely packaged and returned in excellent condition. I highly recommend Northwest Frame Repair for anyone who thinks their frames are beyond saving. Professional, transparent process, and excellent craftsmanship for the cost. read more

I was referred to Northwest Frame Repair from an optician in Logan, Utah. My mother's vintage 1950's frames were refurbished and prepared for new lenses. They did an amazing job making the frames shiny and almost brand new. I then sent the frames to the optician in Utah and just received them back. The whole process did not take along at all and the prices were reasonable. Thank you to everyone that I had email contact with that helped me have my new to me vintage glasses. read more

Recently I was on Camano Island visiting my Brother. Unfortunately my frames got bent in traveling from Maryland and stopped into shop for repair. The frame was not only bent but suffered an unseen break upon investigation. This was my only pair and after explaining my situation besides a broken frame I was suffering a broken heart after losing my wife of 49 years to Cancer just a few weeks earlier. I was visiting family and friends for a mental health break before heading back home. The staff showed such me both professionalism and kindness as they fixed my frames in 20 minutes or so in order for me to have my glasses to see the beauty of Washington State. When asked how much the Owner out of the kindness of her heart said no charge, enjoy your time with family. Proof that mankind may still have a chance. No good deed goes unnoticed. My frame glasses got a new colored second time, excellent job, great people to deal with.

Northwest Frame Repair was amazing. I sent my 15 year old frames that I loved to them to have them refinished. They had a huge selection of colors and finishes. They were very helpful on helping me pick the perfect color and finish for them. They were very friendly and understanding of how important those frames were to me. The price for the restoration was very affordable. When I received my frames back, I was blown away. Thank you Northwest for your service and support. read more

Quality of work is more than excellent, customer service is superb. Sent my beloved Maui Jim Kahuna Sunglasses to micro weld the temporal because the factory weld gave in, and to remove the powder coat and apply new one flat black (Kahuna does not come powder coated in black, only Gun Metal). Before finding Northwest I used a company in Singapore to do it (the other side of the world). Because I couldn't find anyone in the USA to powder coat Sunglasses Frames this was 5 to 7 years ago, and believe me I didn't left any rock unturned in the internet trying to find someone here in the US. Planning on getting another pair send to them. And I'm glad I found them. read more

I'm a repeat customer of Northwest Frame Repair (NWFR). When I clumsily managed to break my half-rim frames (for the second time), I knew I would use their services again because of my terrific user experience the first time around. True to form, NWFR communicated quickly and concisely throughout this repair just like the previous one. According to the shipment tracking number, my glasses were returned to me just five days after their receipt! I was thrilled. They're my go-to service for my eyeglass frames. I'm an absolutely solid future customer. Furthermore, I'll not hesitate to describe and recommend NWFR's benefits and services to all who seek the same because they'll receive QUALITY and PROFESSIONALISM. Bravo NWFR! I was really happy to find Northwest Frame Repair when it was evident that finding a new pair of frames was not the best solution for me. I have two pairs of frames that I love and that love had taken its toll on the hinges and frame surfaces. I contacted Northwest Frame Repair to coordinate an estimate for both and had them repaired and looking like new within a week. They provided excellent service and communication throughout the process. I am completely satisfied with their customer support and services. read more

All the stars! I had an antique silver lorgnette that needed some mechanical bits worked on, and it's not like there are lorgnette repair shops on every corner. I found Northwest Frame Repair either via google or reddit or something, wrote to them, and they said it would likely be no problem, but that they would check it out for free and give me an estimate. The quote was utterly reasonable, and the subsequent service / turnaround was rapid. I liked the personal tone of the correspondence, too - it was clearly not a from a dry corporate communications department. If you have a lorgnette, or even if you don't know what a lorgnette *is*, I recommend these folks highly. read more

Not only did they do a great job putting nosepads on a pair of plastic frames but got them back to me in record time. Definitely recommend.

Competent, professional, courteous, awesome. That about sums up Northwest Frame Repair.

I was so happy to have found NW Frame Repair! My favorite pair of Savile Row Windsor frames suffered a broken cable temple right at the flex point. I had a jeweler friend solder it back together, but it lasted only a month! I took a chance and shipped my frames clear across the country, I'm in NYC. I spoke to Sean on a number of occasions, and he could not have been more courteous. He assured me that he'd be able to get my frames back in service. A few weeks later my frames arrived back in NYC and I could not believe how incredible a job NW had performed. The weld and gold match were perfect! The break point was stable and strong, better than new. I cannot thank NW Frames enough and I highly recommend them no matter what is wrong with your frames. Thank you, NW Frames! read more

I have a irreplaceable pair of titanium framed glasses-so light they don't need nose pads. Broke an arm right at the hinge. And, as I said-irreplaceable. NE Frame Repair did a beautiful job-and I had them back in a week (as promised!) Excellent craftsmanship, a fair price and easy to do business with! Highly recommended!! read more

Northwest MORE than lived up to my expectations! I had a pair of tortoise shell acetate frames that I LOVED...but unfortunately my parrot got a little overexcited and grabbed onto the edge and cracked the frame. Initially, I went in search of another pair that I could just flip the lens into...only to find the designer no longer makes that particular frame and no store I found in my Google Search had any left in stock (I even checked in Europe since the designer was French!). So...off to NWFR they went. I was optimistic, but to be fair, I sent them with unknown certainty of what would happen. Communication from the word go was clear and positive. I was told what they wanted to do, given the chance to say no (not that I did and sooo glad I didn't). They got on the phone with me when I had questions. They got 2nd and in some cases 3rd opinions within their staff to ensure where we were going and what we were doing would make me happy. They even reached out every step of the way to keep me informed (I felt like an expectant father waiting for my new child). And what I got back? WOW! They looked almost brand new. The repair is barely noticeable. You would never know these frames were as old as they are. For waaaay less than any new frames/lenses I looked at (let's face it...nice frames are expensive...and lenses are a small fortune if you need progressive), I got back a pair I loved and can expect multiple additional years of wear. In fact, I was so happy with the experience I have another pair that I had been considering sending to get "restored" with a new powder coating--and they will be on their way shortly. This time it's a pair of metal frames that are my "back-up" pair, but have gotten pitted over time. I've got no doubt they will come back looking amazing, with new color and new life. You can't go wrong with Northwest Frame Repair if you like your current frames, want to keep them, and need to give them a new life! -- Jeffrey H read more

After receiving a new pair of ill fitting Dolce glasses in a warranty claim I decided to have them "custom tailored" to my face. The original built in plastic nose pieces were 19mm apart and I'm more of a 16mm. So I sent them off. They shaved the old pads off and polished the plastic so you can't tell they were ever there. Then installed their custom nose pieces and they even offered them in black as to match my frame. Job was timely professional and at a very fair price. I'm extremely happy! And considering having a few older pair customized/refurbished! THANK YOU! read more

I have these sunglasses that I absolutely love, but they developed these brown stains on the front and the temples. I managed to find Northwest Frame Repair online and sent my sunglasses to them via mail from NYC. They sent me an invoice and explained that these brown stains are actually a buildup from facial oil and makeup. At first I didn't agree with their diagnosis-I thought it was the white paint losing its shine. I decided to trust their professional judgement and I'm so glad I did. They shipped them back to me so quick once the job was done and now I have these restored sunglasses. If the stains develop again due to my lack of care, I will not hesitate to send them to Northwest Frame to have it cleaned again. read more

Northwest Frame Repair was recommended to me by the optician at my local Costco when a pair of vintage Alain Mikli frames I'd bought and had lenses dropped in at Costco had one of the hidden springs break. I reached out through their site, detailed what I needed, sent a few pics, and got an estimate back very quickly. The frames were soon on their way west, were fixed perfectly, and returned to me once again in wearable condition. Heck, I am wearing them right now! The estimate was on point. Excellent repair of broken weld on metal frame. Glasses look like new again. Quick turnaround too.

Horrible Service, Damaged a patient's frame and did not call us to advise of the damage due to welding. they painted over the damage with a sharpie and sent it to us. When we called and complained about the incompetence, we got our account closed. this isn't the first time the service is mediocre, I have to refund a patient's order due to incompetence and negligence. Who wouldn't've called with emotion over losing money and a lack of quality, not to mention they apparently can just turn away anyone they want over speaking the truth and wanting better service. that's not how business should be conducted, Check out Pro-Op or Gabe's Frame repair, even Express Eyeglass Repair offers better quality and great service. Tiffany, the owner takes pride in her business but also takes pride in the fact that they don't make mistakes and can't understand constructive criticism. what she said to me over the phone is unbelievable, in our shop the customer is always right and we go above and beyond to make any situation better, without pride or malice. read more
