They did try twice to drain the line, but unfortunately, it is way too clogged. The guy told me straight up the potential costs of having a total ac replacement with labor, etc, and didn't pressure me into doing anything more. I'm sad my ac wasn't able to be drained, but I know they tried, and to top it off, they didn't charge me even though they did work on my car. I would definitely recommend this place.

While I wouldn't have minded paying the money & honestly probably would've given them more money if they offered to help and/or didn't make us pay before working on the car. The manner the owner went about the interaction was distasteful at best. The worker who was assigned to work on the car for us was very nice and helpful- and was able to change the tire In about 15 minutes with the proper tools. Maybe they're better with appointments and more specialized work, but from our experience, I can't recommend them. Not sure who pissed in the owner's cheerios, but a few classes in communication & customer interaction would be beneficial.

You know, you just can't please everyone in the automotive industry. The truth is this, real mechanics put years of experience into their trade, and deserve to be paid for that expertise. Further, working on cars is not an "exact science" anymore than diagnosing physiological illnesses is. Sometimes the problem is obvious and easy to fix, other times it's not so obvious and requires multiple approaches before the issue is resolved. That said, here's the deal. Alan is a phenomenal mechanic, and has been the only person I'd let put their hands on my vehicles since well before he started at Gordon Auto, he is an honest, trustworthy mechanic with decades of proven experience. If you need your car fixed, and you want to be treated fairly while receiving quality work. Bring your car here. If you don't really care, or you think your neighbor can do the work for less, then let them do it or take it somewhere else. Yes, they can be a little slow, they're busy, and they don't have 40 mechanics on staff. Claiming they overcharge is a sign that you don't appreciate the labor, claiming they do poor work is a sign that you're an implacable customer. There is no better auto shop or mechanic staff in all of spring and the surrounding area. My whole family uses Gordon Auto due to Alan's candor and skill. You should too.

The passenger AC was blowing hot air. I read about Gordon automotive on-line. They have a history of experience working on older model Cadillacs. They also have all of the equipment needed to diagnose and repair Cadillacs. They had the vehicle over one week before calling us to pick it up. They did a good job but I have no idea why the work took so long to complete. The original owner (the Cadillac guru) recently passed away. Not sure if this will affect the quality of service. So I came here based on all the great reviews and it's close proximity to my job. I had been…read morewithout AC on my truck for an entire summer and I wasn't about to do it again so I bit the bullet took my truck in. First off, I had a quote from another shop that diagnosed my AC issue and asked Ashford Memorial if they could beat the price and they said yes. Well, it ended up being almost $1200. ( the quote was just over $1000) so they didnt beat it but anyway. My AC was blowing again so I was happy. I must point out that it has never worked as good as it did before it went in but it does blow well and cools for the most part. Within the first week of getting my truck back comes all of the weird stuff. My hazards would come on randomly while driving. When I turn my right signal on, the left one would come on instead or the hazards would come on instead. Then different dash lights would come on randomly and turn off. Me being a worry wart, I would check fluids, when the lights would come on and nothing low. I got an oil change even though it wasnt time and it still kept happening. Then I noticed that my hazards button appeared to be stuck down... so I saw that the steering wheel cover was wedged against it holding it down so it couldnt move so I smaked the cover just enough to shift it to where the button was free. That ended the hazards and turn signal issues but not the icon lights in my dash. So I delt with it a few more months and then it was time for my inspection/registration. I take it to my normal place and they say their computers cannot connect. I was so upset. They said I should go to a dealership and have them try. Well after trying 4 dealerships that couldnt help me because supposedly my truck is a 2006 and their computers only worked on vehiles as old as the lot has been open. Atleast that is what I was told. Then the 5th one that had been open more than 2 decades said they were backed up 4 weeks due to all the flooded vehicles and couldnt get me in. By then my inspection would be past due. I finally got a recommendation from a friend about a shop they had gotten really good service from so I tried them. Long story short, I ended up having to replace my entire computer because Ashford Memorial had to open my dash and disconnect my computer to fix my AC and then didnt put it back correctly and it was completely fried! So 3 weeks and $3000 later I have my truck back with a new computer, AC that works at like 75%, but it passed inspection and runs great so I guess it could be worse. I do want to point out that I didnt contact Ashford Memorial to ask them about my issues once it was diagnosed by the shop I used even though they asked me if I wanted to try that before they got started working on it. I just didnt want Ashford Memorial to touch my truck again once I was told that they destroyed my trucks computer. The only reason I'm giving 2 stars instead of 1 star is because my AC does work.
