On the trip down I noticed that there was some slipping in the transmission. Very minor but still something that was concerning. We didn't want to leave the car and not know what was going on so I took it to George based on the reviews I read online. He took the car for a ride, said it was slipping between 1st and 2nd. So, you brace for the price... He said the Honda transmission is rock solid and this could easilty last for years before it gives out so just drive it and not worry about it. He had an opportunity to sell me a re-build which will someday be necesary but told us that now wasn't the time to do it. I greatly appreciated the honesty and integrity. The only downside is that when it needs to be re-built, the car probably won't be in houston and we'll have to find somebody else.

Initially, I was told I had to keep my vehicle there overnight, but I was unable to due to my schedule the next day. They were about to close in an hour and they didn't have the brake pads. I was scrambling to either borrow a car, see Lyft pricing, or reschedule my work for the next day but they expedited it and were able to get me out approximately 10 mins before close. I just got the brake pads because rotors/car maintenance are expensive in general and I didn't have the time. They were really nice and trying to be accommodating so I really appreciate that. I was stressing but they made it work. Thank you to the service advisor, Thomas, the technician, Hayden, and the rest of the staff :) (wish I got the other guys name who offered to get me an uber :,) I appreciate you)

Tim Xiong was terrific to work with. When I arrived he immediately assessed the situation and gave me some options. At first I thought the shop could knock out the dent, but he pointed some other details like the misalignment with the door due to the dent that would not get fixed if they just hammered the metal. Also he gave me price estimates for the different approaches. I felt he took the time to listen to my concerns and explained the pros and cons to each approach. The repair took about 5 days and the shop paid for a Lyft ride both ways to get me home. Tim kept me updated texts throughout the week. The repair was perfect, look at the pictures! Their sign reads Faster Muffler Shop and of course one would think that that's all they do. You would be mistaken, even though it wouldn't be your fault. I mean do they do all auto mechanic repairs, but not detailed transmission repairs. There are 5 bays with lifts and all the tools needed to do right by your car. Now trust me when I say that it's not only the sign is misleading but I never would have gone here if it wasn't for my apartment complex's maintenance manager pointing me to them. He said, "they are good, friendly and reasonable in their pricing". And yes they were! The owner sits behind a large desk between bays, overseeing his domain of a kingdom, and don't even try to speak in English to him because if you do all you will hear is, LEO. Leo is a good mechanic who speaks excellent English. Now here is the funny, not ha ha funny, different aspect of this business. They carry no stock, not even oil for oil changes but they will direct you to either AutoZone or O'Reilly which are literally both around the corner for you get your own parts for them to do the work. HUH??? So of I went and bought my oil and oil filter which which they changed quicker than it took me to buy the needed stuff. I guess I will show up better prepare next time. What was wrong with me!! There is a small waiting room attached to the garage where you could store meat for weeks because it is sooo cold. Then you notice a small window where a young lady kindly takes your money. She is definitely bi-lingual which is what you expect when it comes to getting their money from you. She also doubles as a concierge, just ask her for any info. Be ready for her to inspect everyone of your bills like jeweler does with a diamond if you pay in cash. Will I go back? Yeah, just because "they are good, friendly and reasonable in their pricing" and it was an experience I would want to see to the end.
