I came here to have my transmission fluid changed and they refused to service my vehicle without even looking at it. They did however offer to up-sell me without even knowing my vehicle. Very poor service and very poor experience. Don't waste your time unless you're pockets are deep because they wouldn't even quote me a single service cost. read more

All I can say is don't do it! A year after the transmission was completely rebuilt I've brought the vehicle back to them 6 times. Transmission keeps slipping. They have No idea what they are doing! read more

My vehicle was not fixed in a timely manner. They kept on putting it off. Paid in full and still had to wait afterwards. Then they rushed it and told me I had a power steering fluid leak at the last minute. Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't the whole point of taking your vehicle to the shop to get it completely fixed? For that reason, I have to give one star. It's completely unacceptable, and I must warn others. read more

I was surprised to see the shop open during all the cold weather but I scheduled an appointment to come in an have them look at my truck. I was on the way to Conroe to meet up with my family and expressed to Danny how I was on a budget and time crunch. He went out of his way to help me out and I made it back to Conroe in one piece despite the road conditions. I can not than his crew enough for helping me out in a time like this. read more

Went to A plus Trasmission's on the 10th of September and told them my car was acting up and I didn't know what was wrong with it . They told me they would run a free diagnostic to determine what was wrong with it . They told me they had to drive my car to run the diagnostic when letting them drive my car took them 20 min to bring it back . They told me my transmission was the problem but for them to know exactly what was wrong with it they would have to take the Trasmission apart . I don't know anything about cars and I was to trusting and let them take the car apart for $500 dollars . What was suppose to take 8 hours total took them 3 days to take a part . The manager Daniel never called me to tell me what was wrong with the car and every time I called Daniel told me he would call me back but never did . It took me showing up at there shop on the 4th day for him to tell me what was wrong with the car and that it would cost me $3,500 for them to rebuilt my transmission . So I talked it over with someone else before saying yes to them and decided not to do it . I then asked them to put it back together because I couldn't afford what they were asking for . Again something that should have taken 8 hours to do took another 4 days for them to do . When I called them on Monday the 16th of September the manager Daniel told me that they put 40 other cars in front of my car and that they would get to my car when they got to it . I then had to call one of my friends to tell then the situation and he had to call and tell them that they wanted my car don't by Wednesday the 18th of September . The guy said fine but he wasn't happy about putting a date on it . I then get a call from A Plus Transmissions from another man named Dan asking me what I wanted done to my car and when I told him that the car was suppose to be put together he began to tell me that he had no idea that was what was suppose to be getting done . I'm extremely disappointed in A plus Transmission Specialists and I would tell no one to come to this place ever! I spend $500 dollars just for them to tell me my transmission wasn't good and then they wanted me to pay them another $3,500 to fix it . Shame on them . Then they kept my car hostage so I couldn't get it fixed by another shop. I just got my car back today on Thursday the 19 of September . When arriving to pick up my car they informed me that my car was unlocked with the keys inside of it on the street side for anyone to just open my car door and steal my car . Worse experience I ever had with a mechanic's shop. read more

Someone broke into my truck and stole some items while it was being serviced. When I bought it to their attention their only response was that they always leave the vehicles unlocked and it is the customers responsibility to not leave any personal property in the vehicle. They also said that they recently had several break-ins and the police were aware of it. The staff was very rude about the situation and everyone at this location should be retrained on how to treat customers. read more

Paul was awesome and very honest when explaining potential issues and resolutions. These guys did a very thorough job. I would recommend A+ plus to others. Car is running great. read more

This place is terrific. Fast, friendly, and fair. The manager, Thomas, has a great reputation among the customers that I spoke to who came into the shop while I was waiting for my car. I see why now. Him and his team showed me all of the areas in my car that were creating the problems I was having and then knocked each one out without emptying out my pockets. I'm so excited to have found a shop here in Houston that is filled with professional mechanics who know what they are doing and do a solid job for a reasonable price. I had checked other shops and their prices and these guys just won in every category that matters - price, service, and quality of work all go to A Plus Transmission Specialists. Research for yourself and see what you find. read more

BEWARE! You will pay $600 for them to check your transm; assuring you it could be something minor. I balked, so they'd do it for $500. Then call me that transm needs rebuilt, torque convertor rebuilt and quote 2600.00 additional! Went and got my car, and hauled it to Galveston to honest place (Island Transmission). They found me a re-built transm PLUS LABOR! total $1400.00 The torque convertor is fine! THIS PLACE CHEATS PEOPLE! BEWARE! Even if you don't fix it, you still owe them $600.00 Find a hometown place that will not charge you to look at it read more

Broke down the other day so I called Daniel at a plus transmissions on n houston Rosslyn. He was there quickly to tow my van and let me know that day what was needed. He was fast efficient and trust worthy. Was back in my van the next day working again! If you need someone you can trust and do a good job give him a call! read more

I has a horrible experience. I called in to get information and Daniel was very nice and informative. He even went the extra mile and allowed me to drop my truck off after hours and gave me his cell to check in with him once I dropped the vehicle off. Well, the next day no one called to follow up with me not even to let me know that they had my keys. I called around lunch time and i was bushed off. I was no longer getting that A plus customer service. I was told that they were a little behind and He would call once they got to my truck. No call. I waited again until lunch the day and call same story. I than became very impatient and went to pick up my truck. I was than greeted with a I have been trying to call you. He began to explain what was wrong with my truck. I was a little hesitant conceding how long it took for him to inform me. However it seem to be an easy job. He assured me they could handle the Job. I agreed to have the truck repaired at the shop[ and I was told my truck would be done by the following day. I waited the enter day and called hr til closing. I was given the story that they were short handed and my truck would be done the following morning. I call the 4th day in the morning was told that everything was going accordingly and he would call with the details. I wasn't told they closed at 1. I had no calls all day went to the shop at 2 my truck sitting out in the open in the same spot as if it had not been touched. I was furious. I called Danielle on his cell to ask for my key so that i can take my truck elsewhere. I was given a bogus story that he was at the ER. If he was I pray that all is well. How ever I feel that it was a bunch of crap. I would not recommend this place to my worse enemy. I wish I should have followed my first mind and took my truck some where else. That's a lesson learn for me. Don't be fooled my the kind voice They are not all that they seems Part 2: A horrible taste in my mouth.....This story has an end one of relief but still leaves me searching for an honest place to take my Truck. After calling and requesting that someone bring me my keys and was denied. I drove back by the Lot and saw that my car was than blocked in by the truck that was once on the other side. If they would go so far as to do that, couldn't they have called me and said Mrs. Penn I am at the shop here is your key? I could not understand why they would do that. As if they were trying to prevent me from taking my own vehicle. How could I if they had my key???? And the way the truck was position I couldn't even tow it and that would have been a waste of time and money. I can't understand why play games. I was able to go in Monday with no problem and get my key. Later was offered to rectify the situation but after the hassle how can I trust you. I have worked in customer service for 15yrs. I try my best to keep each client, customer, patient informed of what is going on at all times. Even if you are running behind if you have no answer or resolution at all you can call and simply say I haven't forgotten about you. Little things like that make a difference. I cannot drive my truck today just like I couldn't when I took it in. If time is what was needed than that is what should have been said. Not offering me false promises and brushing me off as if I did not matter. If you did not have time for a serves that I was more than willing to pay you for. You will not have time for a free service... Now, as if I was not already tainted by other faulty mechanics, this defiantly put a horrible taste in my mouth..... read more

I'd gone to get a oil change at Jiffy Lube after receiving that oil change, within 4miles after driving away my car started to sputter and shake. I took my car back to Jiffy Lube where they put it on the machine to get the error code. They told me to take the info. to a mechanic of my choice & if the problem was caused by them they had no problem paying for their error. I took my car to A+ Transmission @N. Houston Rossolyn because the Mgr. (Daniel) had taken such great car of me in the past. Their was a broken spark plug that was causing the misfire. Daniel said he couldn't say if this had been caused by the oil change. His guys replaced the plug & did a major tune up & is even going to do my next oil change for free because he usually does this with the major tune up but, I'd just had it changed by Jiffy Lube. The only negative to this repair shop is the parking. The lot is difficult to get in and out of because there are always so many cars in a very tiny lot. Other than that i love this place. read more

They had my vehicle for 3 days and I had to call to see why I had not heard from them considering they were aware of the problem. Then the Manager Daniel tried to BS me and tell me that they needed to tear into the transmission when we clearly discussed the problem when I dropped the vehicle off. I picked up my vehicle and went elsewhere. Do not trust this place. read more
