I originally left a 5-star review after paying $350 on April 9 to have a garage door spring…read morereplaced. Unfortunately, I have to update this review due to a poor follow-up experience. On April 20, the garage door became stuck because the cable came off the track. I reached out multiple times throughout the day and received no response. At that point, the warranty becomes meaningless if the company cannot be reached. I had another garage door company come out and paid for a second repair, to replace the now damaged cables. They confirmed that while the spring replacement itself was done correctly, the cables were not properly adjusted and the door was left imbalanced, which likely contributed to the failure. It was also why the opener was so much noisier after the spring replacement (I was told it was from excess wear on it from trying to lift the door without the spring). The opener is once again very quiet and the door is raising and lowering very smoothly and quietly. I understand that issues can happen, but lack of responsiveness--especially for something that can pose a safety risk and was most likely related to work just done --is unacceptable. Based on this experience, I cannot recommend this company nor would I use them again.

my experience with "garage door doctor" was a good one..my garage door was stuck open about 3/4 of…read morethe way and i could not get my car out..called a compnay i had used for years and was a litlle upset at how rude they were and they did would not come out for service..i had a flyer in the mail from"garage door doctor", so i booked online and i waited for a couple of days as it was the weekend..they came out promptly at 8am on monday morning,and the technician (jason) worked extremely hard most of the day taking things apart and explaining what needed repair or replacement (the door itself,not the opener,is about 33 years old-here since the home was built,and rusting out)..after talking and discussing,i agreed the best option might be a new door,buit the expense was an issue..he told me of various financing options and the type of door needed,etcetera,so we had a 3 way conversation via tablet/phone with the office financing personnel who sent photos of the type of door needed,discussed color options and painting,and arranged the paperwork for financing as those doors are not inexpensive..all in all, the professionalism,the courtesy and the explanations were to my mind,the way a customer should be treated,especially on something such as a garage door.. i recommend this company and jason in oparticlar as a technician..he is wonderful and hard working!

I was looking to get 2 springs replaced and their quote came in at almost $900.00!. This company uses high pressure sales tactics and higher estimates by double then the other company I had out. When I said I will go with the other company because they are half the price Cassandra called me witihin 5 mins later to offer me $200.00 off if I approve the work now and states the offer will no longer be valid once they leave, I still denied because is was still $250.00 more then the other company. When I decided not to go with their bid they were fast to send me a bill for $49.00 never informing me of this fee. I am a very business oriented person, and rely on trust, honestly and integrity. This company is using Deceptive business practices. Then blackmailing me, saying if I leave a bad review they will leave a bad review on my business profile. I am in the process of pursuing legal action for defamation of character and will be filing a claim with the State of Texas for deceptive bussiness practices. We ended up getting an entirely new door and they were so quick! Eli was great to work with. He explained everything to me and was not trying to pull a fast one considering I know nothing about garage doors. He gave me options and recommendations and provided me a great price. They did just pack up and leave without talking with us. Whenever we realized they were done the door didn't open. The guy who gave us the quote had to come out to tell us the new door was stressing out the motor and unscrewed our lightbulb and told us it would work that way. Great value and overall service.
