The wait for food is ridiculously long, over an hour for a sandwich. People that come here are mostly on vacation so everyone is ok waiting but if you have an excursion or anything planned that you need to leave don't come here for breakfast. Nice ex-pat deli/takeout convenience store. 3 stars because we called in our order of two sandwiches at least 20 minutes. before arriving. My friend who is a local said they come out with the sandwiches. after waiting 5 minutes, I decided to run in and was told that the sandwiches were being made. Located on the same property as Flamboyan, near ample parking spaces this establishment provides one of the best cold brews or hot coffees available on the northside of the island. In addition to the coffee and alternative dairy options, they freshly make a selection of breakfast wraps, Sandwiches, overnight oats, chia pudding and smoothies for a quick start to the day. Everything tastes great and the menu has something for both vegetarians or omnivores. The staff is friendly, communicative and outgoing; they even take the time to label your order and/or bring it out to you while waiting outside. They will even take orders over the phone to save time when you pick up. Hot and cold orders will be in the sitting in the fridge or the incubator waiting for their new family to take them home. The interior is cozy and has some nice seating with simple take top games to pass the time. You may also opt to sit outside in the covered seating to hangout with the local chickens and hotel cats. LOVED this place. Their team members were great, and especially forgiving when I walked away with their phone (only to realize it wasn't mine when a person was calling to inquire about a job!). I had a frozen mocha cappuccino with raspberry and it hit the spot. My friends got smoothies and everyone enjoyed their selections. It's quaint, and extremely comfortable. I had a smoothie and the Pig and Fig, an english muffin with smoked ham, fig spread and brie. Delicious! I've been trying to recreate it since I got home, with success. Five stars for the AMAZING customer service this afternoon! Stopped by for a coffee before Magens bay and a lunch after. Unfortunately, the power was out and they were out of a few menu items. However, the owner was incredibly kind and went above and beyond to make up for any small hiccups they were having that day! So much kindness and he was quite literally- running- food out to each and every customer. Everything we ate was yummy too! From the coffee to the wraps we all enjoyed our orders. Incredible place! Not a ton of seating but food makes up for it. My husband and I had planned to go to a new place every meal while in USVI but we ended up coming back here 3 more times. It's that good. The Carnival bagel sandwich and the Pig & Fig English muffin sandwich were our two favorites but we tried a lot more. They didn't miss. All of it was so good! We stayed in St. Thomas for 5 days and came here for breakfast 4/5 of the days. We got the breakfast burrito, and it has the absolute best tortilla! I highly recommend the triple C Cold brew. One of the best coffees I've ever had. Tried multiple different breakfast sandwiches and have nothing but good things to say!! Service was so friendly and quick. Due to covid, you have to call in your orders, so recommend calling ahead as it takes 10-15 minutes !! read more

We loved our morning trip to Northside Grind for Lattes and smoothies. We also thought their grab and go breakfast sandwiches were absolutely delicious! The coffees were as good as most we get back home and the cafe was clean and perfectly decorated with very cool outdoor seating. Even though the cafe was a 20+ minute drive from our hotel we went there every day we were visiting St. Thomas. Northside Grind was definitely worth it if especially if you want an excellent coffee/espresso while on vacation! read more

Great local coffee shop nestled on hotel property but independently owned and operated by a friendly, young couple (there, working, each day). We've all experienced the problems of finding decent coffee on vacation. Problem solved for St Thomas at North Side Grind. We stopped here 4 times during our trip. I had cold brew, excellent, very smooth with no bitter after taste. I will say a bit too much cream, but that was corrected by ordering it dark during subsequent visits. They have a wide variety of breakfast sandwiches both made to order and ready in a heated case. Day 1 I ordered a breakfast(egg) BLT on English muffin. Remember you're on island time. No problem, while we waited. we sat outside on a picnic table. I sampled my friend's sausage burrito, which was taken from the ready-made case. It was excellent and obviously very fresh. I immediately decided that would be my order on our next visit. My English muffin sandwich arrived in a reasonable amount of time, hot, fresh and delicious. On visit 2 I stuck with my decision to order the sausage burrito. This thing is huge! I would guess more than pound and more than I could handle. Full of sausage, egg, potato, cheese and veggies. Leftover made a good beach snack. Toward the end of the week, my friend ordered the breakfast club. This monstrosity was full of ham, turkey, cheese, egg, tomato and lettuce. Again, my bite sample proved it was as delicious as it looked. I opted for a latte and banana nut muffin. A variety of milk options are available including, skim, coconut and almond. We didn't have lunch here but appeared to be a good variety. There were various snacks and salads available. A good stop on the way to the beach as it is close to Magens Bay read more
