Took car in because a/c wasn't blowing. They thought it was the freon so they said they "charged it up" (even tho the freon was full, I had already tested it). That didnt solve the problem, of course, so we took it back next day and they then realized the cold/hot relay flap wasn't working. $45 part and over $600 paid for 2 visits. They refused to refund us any money for the 1st visit even though their guesswork didn't fix it the first time. Didn't know customers are expected to write blank checks for you to guess at the problem! Never again. Go elsewhere. read more

The service advisors are knowledgeable and present their customers with all available options. In the event your repair is going to be on the high end they lay it put straight regarding how much the repair is in relation to the value of the vehicle. I needed to replace my tires and left my vehicle here overnight. Unfortunately (but fortunately), I needed all four to be replaced. Normally my tires are 200 to 300 each. I was able to get a reasonable deal here. And when I say reasonable, 120 each. I have a sports car, with specialized tires. Chris at the desk was very helpful but more importantly professional. I have lived in Sandy Springs since 2009 and this was my first time here. I always pass it or see it while ordering dunkin donuts coffee. I needed to replace the front passenger tire, but truthly all four tires were needed. I knew that, but there was no pressure to do so. They were honest and told me the front tires were needed but the back tires could be replaced later. As a women, I didn't feel taken advantage of and I WILL come back in the future. They are very friendly and don't pester you about other repairs if you came in for a specific thing, which is hard to find these days. However, it sucks waiting inside for an oil change, because you're not even sure if they performed the change or not. At least at Havoline you're in the car and shown the oil stick, can watch them air up the tires, etc. So, trade offs. I still recommend them. read more

Getting work done on your car is never what you want to spend your money on. But I have always appreciated the very quick & friendly service I received here. They would make recommendations, or remind me what needed to be done soon, but I never felt pressured to get work done. Northridge Autocare was convient for me at work, but with a new job I won't be able to get my oil changed or other work done there as frequently. But I will try to at least get an oil change there occasionally just to support them. read more

I've had nothing but great experiences with Northridge Auto. I used to live in Sandy Springs and happen to cruise by there one day on my way to work for an oil change. They were so nice and easy to talk to that the next time my car had trouble, I decided to take it in there and see what they said. I ended up saving a lot on the repairs originally suggested and I've been going there ever since, despite moving to a different part of the city. I just tried this place out last week, they did an oil change on my 2015 Chrysler 200. It was the most efficient oil change I have ever had in my life, much quicker than the dealership. The price was great too, a little cheaper than what I pay at the dealership for a fully synthetic oil change. The guys were friendly, honest and helpful. I went there to get my rear brakes replaced because they advised me my breaks needs to be replaced. Within 15 minutes of me leaving my car I received a call advising my lug nut key was stripped; I then used Lyft to get my vehicle so I could drive to the dealership to get a new one and then I dropped my vehicle back off. I then received a call 30 minutes later advising me they broke the new nut lug lock I just purchased. I asked would they be replacing the part and Jason (the owner) advises me they would not and that was the end of discussion. I had my oil changed here before and I didn't have any issues until this day. After the lack of customer service I would not recommend this place to anyone. As a mechanic you should know what to and not to do before a part breaks and then the disregard for their customer's money and time is ridiculous. read more

North Ridge Auto Care has been taking care of my Honda Element since 2013. They are courteous, efficient, and professionally excellent. When my car needs an oil change, I'm in and out in 15 to 20 minutes, having had all fluids checked and leveled, air filters checked and changed if needed (and shown the dirty filter so I know I need one), and my tires are checked and air added if needed. The undercarriage is inspected, as well as the exhaust. If anything needs additional work, like needing a new rocker arm cover, they tell me and advise when it will need repair so that I can budget the estimated repair money. I've previously purchased good tires from them, and they've been installed with the typical alignment (if needed) and balancing. During the past 9 yrs, I've never been mischarged, overcharged, or told I needed unnecessary work done. I now drive 55 mi to have my car serviced, because it isn't often one finds reputable and honest people in the auto care business. I recommend them highly. read more

I swear Jiffy Lube was the reason my last car died so I'm very picky about where I go now for routine service, and after my usual place got all formal with appointment only oil changes, I found Northridge service to be exactly what I've needed. While I only have gotten oil changes here, they are extremely fast and courteous when completing this service. 10 minutes in and out, no appointment needed. I like just being able to roll up and get a quick oil change with out an appointment. They alerted me to low air in my tires as well. I'll definitely be going back. The service was so impressive that I have since moved and will still drive a little further, pass many auto care centers, just to take my car here. They are honest and good at what they do. I took my car to this place to get a tune up after 60,000 miles. They were honest with the work that needs to be done on my car, but I thought it was a little expensive for the job and the service could have been better. They checked my tires and rotated them, but then they left the hub cabs off the car. They were just sitting in my trunk. Completely screwed up service. These guys are great! We have been taking our cars and family members car to Northridge for years. They are honest and efficient. Recently my mom (80+), who lives out of town took her car to a local dealer to look at her brakes. They recommended new brakes, and front and rear struts for more $2000. The car has less than 50,000 miles on it!!!! Mom let them do the brakes but dealership tried to convince her that if she did not have the new struts she was putting her life in danger. As we suspected, and Jason confirmed that yes, the struts showed wear but they were no where near needing to be replaced. I brought my car here and had new brake rotors and pads installed, only to find out a year later, that due to improper installation (according to Dekalb Tire...they could tell that they were brand new, but had never seen such a poor installation that completely destroyed the rotors in such a short time). They've been servicing my car for over 5 years. They are wonderful! They are knowledgeable, ethical, honest, and kind. They have gone out of their way for me on a number of occasions and have saved me a lot of money over the years. My car is over 10 years old, so things wear out. They have never recommended repairs that weren't necessary or more expensive than they needed to be, and, since they know I know very little about cars, they could easily have taken advantage of me, if they were so inclined. (I have a friend in Ohio that I can check with about suggested repairs, and did in the beginning, but now, I know I can trust them absolutely. read more

In short, Stay Away! Bottom line; I questioned a 200% markup on a part, they responded by blatantly lying. Not only to my face but I also have a post marked and signed lie from Jason, the owner, claiming they used the O.E.M. part in response to my complaint and a signed conformation his claim was false from Sandy Springs Ford. I used N. Ridge Auto for 3 years because they were right by my work. I slowly started getting the feeling something wasn't right with Justin but thought Jason was a straight shooter until the following incident. This final straw was when I had a clutch cable fail within a year after having a new transmission, clutch kit and cable put in the car at their shop. After learning I would have to pay a quoted $270 to replace it again, I looked up the part number for the cable that had just gone bad (BK 6151268) and found it retail at NAPA for $59. They had charged me $187 for that cable alone... not including the $105 labor to put it on while doing the transmission and clutch kit (labor for these billed separately). The next morning when I dropped the car off, I questioned the high price for a cheap cable and was given a run around response where Justin avoided the question and instead talked about how they were going to use the better quality O.E.M. cable now to replace it while pointing to another cheap aftermarket cable (still boxed). Instead of arguing before they started working on my car, I decided to just get it changed and be done with them. When I picked up the car the invoice used the real O.E.M. part number but with an aftermarket brand name. I wrote Jason to tell him that the ridiculous markup and Justin's response cost him my business. His reply was not only a signed statement that he used the O.E.M. cable but that he lost money on it because he only charged me $99.87 for the new cable (it turned out to be a $40 Sachs cable p/n W0133-1624297) and included a print out of a webpage listing the real Ford O.E.M. part for sale at $224.09. After receiving this letter, I promptly took my car to the Sandy Springs Ford service department to have the cable inspected. They not only gave me a signed statement that the cable was not the O.E.M. cable but that the clutch kit was not installed properly in the first place. (I wonder why the first cable failed within a year?)(I wonder why they just replaced that failed cable but couldn't tell me the problem could be because the clutch wasn't engaging properly?). This has caused me to look back over their invoices (which I always save) and look up the part numbers used to find what I could buy them for retail. It seems this type of markup happened more than a few times and appears to have started after I had them re-install a fuel pump they suggested I change because of a whining noise but their new one was even louder and coming through the stereo speakers. They weren't happy. What I have written here is just the most outrageous incident I had with them, but there were other smaller issues. If they would like to rebut this or even discuss it I will insist it be done in front of a magistrate judge as I am well documented. There is not enough money to recover to make it worth my time currently but if they want to try and discredit my integrity, it will be worth my time. I hold my integrity much higher than they apparently do theirs and they know who I am from the story described. read more
