I am sure lot of people are aware the inspection means they are bound find whole list of issues needing immediate repair. By the way I will be using Tesla Mobile Service at my home for this job.

Within 5 minutes, he explained the situation and basically said- the error code had an error. He cleared it and never came back on again. If Yelp ever had a Gold star rating, this business would deserve all 5. Thanks again Tony! I'll definitely be back and will recommend everyone to Dodge Bros.

He informed me of what was leaking and told me to bring the car back the next day as he was quite busy that morning already. It was a valve cover gasket that needed to be replaced. I also asked to have the transmission fluid drained and replaced. Costs to repair these items were a little over 1K but do come with warranty (see paper receipt for info) He quoted that it would be ready by the end of the day around 2-3pm. Once I arrived at the shop, my car was ready as quoted. He has a really good team working well together to get customers' cars out in a timely manner. So far, my car is running well, and I will continue to monitor for any oil leaks (crossing my fingers that we nipped the issue) and I had a great experience overall.

The first place I called was Joe's Auto Repair in Northridge, and I'm so glad I did! Joe answered the phone himself and took the time to listen to what was going on. I mentioned that I had photos and a video of the leak, and he told me to send them over so he could take a look. His schedule was already full for the weekend, so he initially offered us his first available appointment on Monday. When I explained that getting there Monday would be difficult because of my work schedule, he said, "Okay, bring it by first thing Saturday at 9 AM and I'll take a look at it." Not only did Joe find the problem, but he stayed well past closing to make sure our car was fixed! He was upfront about the pricing, explained everything clearly, and even gave us helpful pointers for our next maintenance service. We felt like he was genuinely honest, trustworthy, and just an all-around nice guy. Everyone wants a mechanic they can trust, and we're so happy we found Joe and his shop. Thank you, Joe, for going above and beyond and staying late to get our car taken care of. You definitely have a new loyal customer, and we'll be recommending you to our friends and family!

Gary, the man in charge of that place, said I need to get the rotor resurface and he's charging $160 for the front set. Note that this is on top of the $70 brake pad from Groupon that I have paid. When I came to pick up my car, the total some how is $193. I paid it, but I think the quote pricing vs actual paid price is not upfront. All other staffs were very nice, they even offer water. I'm updating this review because the business response is misleading…read more I have a voicemail from Steve clearly stating that they did not want to get involved with my vehicle because another shop had already worked on it and he did not want me to possibly "get upset at them too." That was the exact reasoning given. This was not about warranty. It was not about saving me money. I was fully prepared to pay for an inspection or any necessary correction. I was simply asking for a professional second opinion. If a shop refuses work because they're concerned a customer might "get upset," that raises serious questions about confidence in their own work. A reputable shop stands behind its skills and diagnoses issues regardless of who previously touched the vehicle. Changing the explanation publicly after the fact does not reflect well. I stand by what I said. I had a very disappointing experience at Automotive Instincts in Northridge. I called and spoke with Steve about looking at my car after another shop had worked on it, and he basically told me they didn't want to touch it because another shop already did the work. His reasoning was that he didn't want me to "get upset at them too." That makes absolutely no sense. As a customer, I'm simply looking for a professional second opinion or proper correction if something wasn't done right. Refusing to even inspect the vehicle just because another shop previously worked on it feels unprofessional and dismissive. Cars get worked on by multiple shops all the time -- that's normal. Turning someone away out of fear of a bad review instead of standing behind your own skills says a lot. Very disappointing customer service. I expected more professionalism and confidence from a shop with such high ratings.
