The process was terrible from the start. Each step took forever. After paying an inspector and lots of other costs and fees, THE DAY BEFORE THE CLOSING WAS SUPPOSED TO HAPPEN, Lee called me to say that they had to cancel because my student loans made me not qualify. WHAT!?!?! I asked a month beforehand about this so that I would not waste time and money if that were the case. The problem was solved with a cosigner. But it was embarrassing frustrating and costly. Now, because this is a construction loan, which means checking in about progress of the renovations to the old decrepit house I purchased, I have to deal with a rep from the company who insists on referring to me as Mrs, despite my repeated request that they not do so because I am not a Mrs. I have explained, more than once what the correct honorific is for me, if they insist on using one. It is NOT Mrs. It is offensive that they insist on continuing to use Mrs. Though, I get the feeling that the "person" I deal with doesn't exist. I suspect it is a shared email address by all the members of some call center like place, so whoever is emailing me this week has no idea that I have asked repeatedly... But they are always pretty rude, regardless. If you have a choice, go somewhere else. My student loans prevented the local banks from being willing to work with me, so I had to go with the higher interest, slightly predatory, mortgage brokers. I would not recommend them.

Unfortunately, Bill Murphy approved us an astronomical rate (based on competitor analysis). We felt we were being discriminated. This high rate will cost us thousands of dollars per year! We asked Mr. Murphy to immediately refinance our loan but he categorically refused! Then he stopped responding to our emails and calls. Very bad Customer Service.

Unfortunately, that technology is not at all friendly or forgiving. All is fine until you add complexity to the situation and need hand holding. I've closed on 30+ mortgages in my life, have owned dozens of properties and this was by far my least favorite closing experience. When things went sideways the implementation team was literally afraid to bring in the boss (Shant) for assistance causing multiple delays all they up to the night before the first scheduled closing. We eventually got it done but the underwriting process was absolutely ridiculous. Here is one example; the underwriters required an official letter from my employer on company letterhead and signed by HR describing the frequency of my annual bonus. Really?? In summary, very nice people but not the best experience. Good Luck.
