SFM proceeded to bring us through the REFI process leading us to believe that we were purchasing a MCU serviced loan. A month after the loan closed, we received notice that we had been sold to CMC Funding and our local bank would not be servicing our mortgage. I went to MCU and they told me that had they known they would have serviced and kept the mortgage. CMSFunding and it's parent company have over 70 complaints in the last 6 months and a better business rating of "F" and SFM and MCU don't care to do anything about it. So not only should you join, you should get others to join too. Look it up, legally banks are committed to maximize profits for their shareholders, while credit unions #1 priority is its customers/members. Millbury Credit Union is great, the staff is knowledgable and friendly. They actually give you advice on how to avoid fees, rather than banks who knowingly mislead you so they can collect fees. Most banks make most of their money off fees, not interest. Don't think that just cause you go to a small local bank its the same thing as a credit union. Many small local banks have the same formula for success as large banks and follow the same business model. They work to maximize their profits while claiming they are not like bank of america. Their top priority is investors, well when you got a credit union , you are an investor.

Look at the Worcester Registry of deeds and see all of the people he foreclosed on. He tries to hide and put properties into his wife's name or other aliases. Her name is Karen Lowe-Romanoff who is a real estate agent. Romanoff is also partners with Stanley Cherny from West Hartford, Connecticut. Cherny and Romanoff have another Mortgage company they co-own together called Time financial. Google it and you will see how they were involved in someone signing a signature from a deceased lady for a mortgage. Their license in New Hampshire was permanently revoked. Why they are still in business in Massachusetts is beyond me. Stay far away from this company or any of its associates.
