I stumbled upon Unique Treasures after my most recent pit stop at the Clintonville Farmers Market…read more After walking by as I was heading to and from the car, I was intrigued by the dusty window and old signage. I just knew there had to be something special in there waiting for me! I opened the door and immediately noticed the large amount of inventory crammed into this little store. There was so much to choose from, I didn't even know where to start. No lie! I ended up starting towards the front of the room and eventually worked my way to the back. After browsing around for some time, I discovered everything from full tea sets to old photos, tons of jewelry, some awesome wall mirrors (with a touch of paint they'll be good as new!), records, and so much more! The fella that runs the placed is named Bob and he was so sweet. He has his nameplate on the desk next to the register, which made it really easy for me to know who to ask for when I was ready to check out. I assured him that I'll be back on Saturdays after the farmers market and he said he's almost always there (unless he's visiting Florida, haha). After about 15 minutes of looking around, I found a handful of cool jewelry pieces that I wanted. I ended up narrowing my option down to a really pretty blue pendant that simply needed a chain to be turned into a bohemian style necklace. For only a few dollars, I practically had a brand new piece of jewelry that could go with just about anything in my closet. Absolute score! I can truly say that I'm eager to make this a more regular stop on my weekend trips to the market. If I only looked around for fifteen minutes and found something good, just imagine what I could find with twenty, thirty, plus.

I had a few different watches I tried on in different cases, and one of the workers was kind enough to accompany me to several cases and help me put the watches on myself! There are some amazing vendors that have quality vintage pieces at very affordable prices. You can tell that they take time and care with what they stock and how they set up their displays. I find that my favorite booths get restocked often with an array of new treasures. I've purchased beautiful original art, handmade ceramic pottery, a gorgeous Persian rug and many more one of a kind pieces. This is my go to place whenever I'm looking for unique home decor or a special gift. The off putting.. the staff is usually so helpful and kind but there is one employee (Kerry) that can be outright nasty to customers. I witnessed her make disparaging remarks about another customer. She did this in earshot of my mother and I and then acted like the other customer had personally offended her or done something wrong when they asked for a discount on a damaged item from her booth. She then proceeded to speak to my mother about why her nasty remark was justified. It was gross and I hope that the owner of the store reads this review and is able to address Kerry's nasty attitude. The other complaint is when you see an item with a thrift store price tag right next to the vendors highly inflated price tag. So tacky! I do highly recommend this store but I also hope they can address these issues.

It was shortly after they had opened, so there was no one in the store but me. I love how this place organizes everything in a way that just makes sense. Automobilia is all grouped together, old musical items grouped, it all flowed so nicely. this makes it easy for a person to browse several times and then go back for any items that I have decided to purchase. this is not like many of the booth grouping locations that I have been, if that's your deal, you may not like this place. Prices are a bit higher than some, but I would expect that due to the organization and such. I found several items that I was looking for and could not be happier. I will be back to this place!

Thanks to a friend getting a new job right next door, I can proudly attest to this establishment. Walking in the doors, I was walking into Yester-year! Good lighting, so I took a minute to register everything in the first glance. Walking the aisles, the space is filled with antiques: Old gas store signs, lunch boxes, Coca-Cola paraphernalia, Civil War memorabilia, games, clocks, and on, and on. Besides selling antiques, they also appraise for free, and they're always buying old collectibles to add.
