I stumbled upon Unique Treasures after my most recent pit stop at the Clintonville Farmers Market…read more After walking by as I was heading to and from the car, I was intrigued by the dusty window and old signage. I just knew there had to be something special in there waiting for me! I opened the door and immediately noticed the large amount of inventory crammed into this little store. There was so much to choose from, I didn't even know where to start. No lie! I ended up starting towards the front of the room and eventually worked my way to the back. After browsing around for some time, I discovered everything from full tea sets to old photos, tons of jewelry, some awesome wall mirrors (with a touch of paint they'll be good as new!), records, and so much more! The fella that runs the placed is named Bob and he was so sweet. He has his nameplate on the desk next to the register, which made it really easy for me to know who to ask for when I was ready to check out. I assured him that I'll be back on Saturdays after the farmers market and he said he's almost always there (unless he's visiting Florida, haha). After about 15 minutes of looking around, I found a handful of cool jewelry pieces that I wanted. I ended up narrowing my option down to a really pretty blue pendant that simply needed a chain to be turned into a bohemian style necklace. For only a few dollars, I practically had a brand new piece of jewelry that could go with just about anything in my closet. Absolute score! I can truly say that I'm eager to make this a more regular stop on my weekend trips to the market. If I only looked around for fifteen minutes and found something good, just imagine what I could find with twenty, thirty, plus.

Love this place. I've been to several antique markets, but this one takes the cake! I've driven by…read moreseveral times but have never stopped until early one Saturday morning. It was shortly after they had opened, so there was no one in the store but me. I love how this place organizes everything in a way that just makes sense. Automobilia is all grouped together, old musical items grouped, it all flowed so nicely. this makes it easy for a person to browse several times and then go back for any items that I have decided to purchase. this is not like many of the booth grouping locations that I have been, if that's your deal, you may not like this place. Prices are a bit higher than some, but I would expect that due to the organization and such. I found several items that I was looking for and could not be happier. I will be back to this place!

Thanks to a friend getting a new job right next door, I can proudly attest to this establishment. Walking in the doors, I was walking into Yester-year! Good lighting, so I took a minute to register everything in the first glance. Walking the aisles, the space is filled with antiques: Old gas store signs, lunch boxes, Coca-Cola paraphernalia, Civil War memorabilia, games, clocks, and on, and on. Besides selling antiques, they also appraise for free, and they're always buying old collectibles to add.

A carefully curated mid century modern shop. The stuff in here is amazing. Everything is in…read morefantastic condition and is styled such that you feel like you stepped back into the 1960s. Even the music is period so as I was shopping I felt a little like I was in a tv show or movie- it was surreal. (Esp because I was born in the 80s ;)) However, for me I didn't find anything to take home, and I think it was because the prices were a little beyond what I felt comfortable with. For example- there was a jadeite Bowl in the front display case, and it was priced at double what I paid for the exact same one the day before at the Country Living fair. There were also two other smaller bowls marked jadeite but I don't think they were... and in the back was a statue marked $16 and I have a similar one I rescued for half that in Maryland. In fairness I'm not from Ohio so I don't know what the market will bear and I don't love all mid century modern I tend to like some of it... But the store is immaculate, and all the items are immaculate- and that doesn't come cheap. For example- I saw a pristine teal blue sofa set- two chairs, a large sofa and a loveseat in better condition than some new couches I've seen in show rooms. And a hanging silk Hollywood regency lamp that was delightful. And some of those little plastic serving dishes that are so hard to come by... I think I would come here if I was looking for something in particular from the 60s or 70s. Or if I was shopping with a friend looking for high quality authentic mid century modern furniture.
