I have a new favorite auto body shop! After a mishap with a new driver, I had a scrape with some dented grooves on my new (less than a year old after spending a year on a waitlist) van. I got multiple reviews, and nearly all of them told me that I had to replace entire panels and all surrounding parts. It sounded a lot like someone telling me that I had to entirely replace my drywall for a few nail holes. Northland reviewed the damage, was able to fix it without disassembling half my van, and have it back to me in just under 3 days for a significantly more reasonable price. Today my niece to stop by Rosemont collision to get an estimate for having her bumpers repainted on her 2012 Volvo . I live in Connecticut and have been in this industry for approximately 30 years . My niece will accompany me to work as a child so she is somewhat familiar to the industry. Subsequent to receiving an estimate from Rosemont collision the estimate was forwarded to me for review. Following the review of said estimate I have come to the conclusion that the estimator and/or management of Rosemont collision are either stupid or attempting to defraud a woman. On their estimate they had written to refinish a three stage paint. Her vehicle does not have a three stage paint. Rosemont collision had also included in their estimate time to remove and reinstall the front and rear bumper covers. And removing bumper covers on vehicles of this generation there is multiple clips that require removal and replacement as they break during the removal process. None of the aforementioned clips were listed on the estimate. This again leads me to believe they had intended to perpetrate a fraud and not remove the bumper covers for painting or they were just stupid. Anyone with the industry knowledge is fully aware of the necessity of clip replacement subsequent to removal on these vehicles. If I could put less than one star I would and I would not recommend Rosemont collision to anybody for any type of repair !!!!!!!!!! read more

We used this place before for my husband's vehicle and it was good, but then we used them for my car and it was horrible. The rubber seals on my car door got hard and knocked off pieces of my trim and bent other trim, so when it started to warm up we took it to them to get a quote to get everything fixed that was the issue and to get a dent fixed. We bought it in while we were going on vacation, it was done when we got back so we went to go pick it up. There were so many issues and pair of the job not even done. The tech was nasty and talk down to me, and they wanted us to pay more money to fix it, I asked to speak to the owner, he hear how the tech was talking to me, they said they would take care of it. A month later we didn't hear from them. I had to call and find out when my car was going to be finished, they didn't even know why I was calling. Then I got a call back to schedule an appt to get my car finished. I took it in was told it would be finished that day. When I picked it up, looked good. As I was driving out of the parking lot I noticed my left mirror was looking up to the sky and that my switch was switched to the left, I was like why was that touched, so I was fixing it . Then I noticed I could see my blinker through my mirror,, they broke it. I called and told them what was going on, I was told to bring it back. The owner looked at it and was like so, we didn't work on that side of the car, and so I said then why was my mirror moved and you do bring it into the garage. He told me he needed do talk with the tech, he left the actual place and I was like what is he doing, he sped out of the parking lot and then went across the street and then sped back, he was driving crazy. The owner and the tech came in and said here is the guys who worked on your car, he said he didn't bump into anything so that is that. Both towering over me and both being rude. I again stated then why was my mirror touched they couldn't answer. I felt very uncomfortable because the whole time dealing with this company, (beside the woman behind the desk) the men are very rude, talk down to me and spoke differently when my husband was there. I got up stated it is too bad to don't care about your customers and left , and as I left the owner stated no, no we dont. I will not ever go back, I spend over 800.00 to be treated horrible and now I have to spend more money spend fix my mirror that they broke. I even have pictures to prove that the car was good when I dropped it off. I will tell everyone, that this place is not the place to go, especially if you want to be treated with respect. read more

Need to be able to give ZERO stars Took my vehicle in for a very simple repair and they could not follow simple requests after repeating discussions. Had I had the time and tools to do the job myself, I could have done it quicker and with higher quality. Due to the very poor workmanship I will need to complete the repair as I has zero confidence that they have any interest in fully satisfying their customer needs. Would give a ZERO to workmanship and ZERO to customer needs. They seemed to be interested in doing what they wanted to do and collecting money for an inferior job regardless of what the customer requested. I left feeling like it was bother to take my vehicle in for repair. Look elsewhere to find a shop that is interested in your business, doing quality work and doing the work you requested and ultimately paid for. read more

If you are older or a woman, I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS SHOP. I am an older woman and I brought my car into Northland Collision for repairs after being rear ended. I had to bring it back in a second time because they installed my windshield wiper upside down and left tow wires hanging out. I had to bring it back a third time because my rear defrost wasn't functional after the initial repair. After this third repair is when I noticed some things weren't right in my car...I noticed the CD's I had in my CD player were gone. I called the shop to ask where they might be and was told that no one would have touched the CD's or the CD player (the person I spoke to was very rude). I noticed that my backseat of my car had been gone through, I looked for my CD's in the back seat, but found nothing. I later found the CD's stuffed under some paperwork in my glove box. At that point I also realized that my insurance card had been removed from my glove box too. Then I really started to investigate my car, there were a few control buttons switched off and part of my tow package was missing. I called Northland Collision again (and talked to the shop manager) to ask about this missing part and asked if they could look around for it in the shop and I was treated very rudely and was totally dismissed. I was just trying to get my car back with the same parts intact, nothing missing. I feel like the shop people were pissed at me and acted vindictively towards me because I kept bringing my car back for repairs that they missed (how rude that I expected them to actually fix my car). Or maybe it was because I am an older person who they thought they could take advantage of or because I am a woman who they thought they could take advantage of. Northland Collision advertises "Collision Repair with Integrity" and that couldn't be further from the truth! read more

Amazing! They went above and beyond anything I could have excepted. I called to make an appointment and they told me to just come by whenever I could. They looked at it right away and told me they would deal with the insurance company themselves. The car rental place we booked messed up our reservations and Northland was able to get us a rental car on the spot. Free rental car? Big plus! Super fast repairs? This is the place! Very professional, quality work and they take the hassle of dealing with your (or not even your) insurance company. I dropped off the car, 4 days later it was brand spanking new again. They quickly ordered additional parts after discovering internal damage, worked everything out with the insurance company, and their price was very fair. I am a very happy customer. read more

The estimate was about $1k (25%) cheaper than LaMettry's. Talking with Duane was also a great experience as I didn't have to wait and I was talking to the guy in stead of the guy underneath the guy underneath the guy who spend 2 days training with the guy underneath the guy. Talking with Duane you can also tell that he knows his stuff and will do right by you. Also, whoever cleaned my car is amazing as it must have been handwashed as they got tar off of the bottom sides of my car that had been there forever. They also cleaned the inside of my car which was overdue so once again both props to whomever did that and sorry for the mess that it was. Considering that most people are interacting with auto repair companies at a poor time after an unexpected accident having a great team with impeccable customer service and experience to be there for you during that time is an awesome thing to have especially in an urban retail landscape.
