Let me be clear, this review is from Late 2024. I thought I submitted it then but apparently I did not. It's possible they may have improved as it is now Jan 2026. Im not sure how a place goes from 5 to 1 star in a few years but they certainly did. It came time to get another car and my experience had been so good with the last experience with this place, that my first stop was Northgate Ford. My son and I walked in and there were several people at desks with no one in front of them. There was a guy behind the counter reading a newspaper. We stood in front of the.counter for about 2-3 minutes assuming someone would ask if we need help. No one did which was our fault. So I went to the guy at the counter. I said I was looking for used cars and asked which section was used and, literally without looking up from the paper, he pointed over his right shoulder without saying a word. Okay. Bad service but, whatever. We.walked out to the basic area he had gesuted toward and saw a salesperson near the bottom of the lot. He was not with anyone and we needed help so we walked toward him. He looked directly at us and walked into another row of cars instead of towatd us. We switched to that row and I smiled and waved as we walked toward him.again, he switched rows. There was no one else apparent in the lot and the guy inside certainly didn't want to help us. Once again, we switched rows to the one he was in and we were now close enough to say Excuse me, when you get a minute can we get some help, please? He , again without a word, turned his back on us and walked into the building. We looked for anyone else and saw no one. So, we left and went to Kings Subaru where we had an excellent experience. I would have , and did, recommend Northgate to anyone looking for a car after the first.experience. but after the second, I will never recommend them again. read more

I have taken my gas F250 to various Ford dealers in 2 states since 2021. My oil change and tire rotation has always been 90ish to 110ish. l should have asked for quote up front when I scheduled. A mistake I won't make again. I was charged 187.00. I understood the valet service to be a courtesy, but, as we know, nothing is free. They offered no explanation when I expressed surprise at the charge. Needless to say, they won't get any more of my business. read more

Scam!!! Battery scam!!! They will try to tell you that you need a new battery at every oil change. Be cautious with North Gate Ford's service department. They will try telling you that your battery needs replacing, despite it working fine. It is a fraudulent upsell tactic rather than a genuine recommendation. My 2018 Ford Fusion recently shut down completely on the Interstate. I had it towed to Northgate Ford for repairs. Shawn in the service dept. Was very helpful and they repaired the car at no cost to me. (Short Block replacement). They said it was covered by a recall from Ford. Since we were planning on trading it for a new car, once it was fixed I offered to sell it to them. They offered me over the Blue Book value and I accepted. Shawn, Andre and the Used Car manager whose name I forgot where very helpful and professional. Highly recommend!!! PS. They gave me a loaner car at no cost while it wss in the shop. 100 times better than my Walt Sweeney experience. read more

If you are reading this please buy a vehicle from any other dealership. They will sell you a new car with over 250+ miles on it after saying it just got to the lot( I purchased a new vehicle from a different ford dealership a year prior right when it hit the lot and it had 27 miles on it) , someone already connected to the Bluetooth(when questioned they just deleted it off the car), and have chipped paint on it. My manual was also tore up which confuses me if it's a new car.... You have to fight for your paperwork and titles( one guy will tell you 1 week, after you contact them again they will say 2-3 weeks after purchase, I received mine over 4 weeks later after contacting them multiple times and escalating the situation. ),they will tell you they can transfer plates and let you pay and then over a month later say they can't. I had waited too long to leave a review through ford because I didn't want any retaliation. The man Jesse who talked to me about my warranty options felt the need to make a joke about me crashing my previous vehicle which I felt had no taste and was disrespectful. Do not purchase from this location. Spend your hard earned money on a place that will take care of you. I won't even be using their benefits because I don't want to give them any business. I will be telling everyone I know to never step foot in their lot. read more

Scheduled an appointment to have my car looked at, wasn't happy with the times because I work night shift and would have no time for sleep before bringing in my car, appointment was set for 8:50am, so I bring it in. They made me wait for 5-10min inside, to tell me they wouldn't take my car because it had over 100,000 miles on it. And to find someplace else, when I asked where they said a private garage. Not very helpful. If this was the case why'd they let me schedule an appointment in the first place? I even put the mileage in during my scheduling and they still accepted it while scheduling. Weird, never heard of any places rejecting cars over 100k miles. read more

I strolled into Northgate Ford looking to check out the Ford Fusion at my brother-in-law's suggestion. It was a busy day and the show room here is large. Jerry, a tall gentleman in a fancy suit, quickly noticed me perusing the selection and asked me what I was looking for. Upon initial contact I thought that he was going to be overly sales-y. He was dapper and had a big grin, but in my quest for cars Jerry turned out to be one of the most informative people I've met. He really knew his stuff and was efficient at his job. While on the lot I checked out the Taurus as well. Jerry referred to it as the "big boy" and mentioned that it comes with a "big boy price". Dually noted, +30k seems like a lot for this car and the styling is a bit garish. It reminded me of the 300, Accord, or Volkswagen's CC, but not quite as good looking. Meanwhile, Jerry directed me to his selection of Fusions in the back lot and showed me that the 2013s were actually cheaper than the 2012s and the new body design is a definite improvement. Jerry showed me the trunk space, the engine, and all the critical elements of the car without me having to ask to see them. A quick test drive and I knew right away that this mid-size Sedan would be a front-runner. The Fusion is comparable to an Accord, 200, or even a Passat. Jerry quoted me around $24,000 for the Fusion, which was roughly half-way between the quotes I got for a 200 and a Passat. He included a $1,000 rebate, similar to what was offered at Chrysler (Northgate Chrysler and Northgate Ford are operated by the same people). For what you get the price on the Fusion was very reasonable, though the power train warranty is not quite as good as it is at Chrysler. Ultimately, the Fusion was the runner-up in my quest for a new car, but if you're looking for an American-made mid-size Sedan for under 25k, this is your car. read more

I normally take my car here. But a week ago I needed sudden work done and the next available appointment for Northgate Ford would be two weeks later. I took it to Lebanon Ford and had the worst customer experience. Decided to take it to Northgate Ford, left it there for a few days, and everyone there was super happy and friendly. Megan was my service advisor and she was not after my money, she was honest and told me exactly what I needed done to my car. They got it done in a few days after the parts came in. After they fixed my car, they had it delivered to me at home. Best Ford dealership around. I will continue to go here for all my services. They provide a stress free experience each time. read more

When I first went in to buy a truck they didn't even wanna listen to my option how to get me in the truck once I got denied. They was done with me stop talking to me. I had to call another Location to talk to some one about getting that truck. He got me a loan with 10,000 down and in my name no co signing for me. When I bought the truck they agreed to put a level kit on it with the deal. When they put it on they must of not done it right or put the extra parts on it to be done right. Now they I bought bigger tires for my truck you can see that my whole tire is 1.5 inchs stuck out farther then my passengers side. When I brought it up to them they want me to pay for the extra part that should been put on to bring my truck back to ford spec when they raised it up. They put a cheap lift on it quick to make the sale and don't wanna cover there work after. On top of that mike over there talk real bad on the phone said get his truck back hes not arguing with me when I was trying to get the problem fixed. they act like my friend when I was getting the truck now they turned there back and pretty much trying to make me eat the part for 1800 that I was never even told I would need cause I thought having them do it i figured it would be done right and one of my tires would be stuck out farther if I added new tires. would never do business with them again and plan on taking it to the top and court if need be So this doesn't happen to some one else. read more

I was in the market for a newer Mustang and had been all over the tri-state, with no luck. I sat through every sales pitch imaginable. Frustrated, I decided to stop at Northgate, with the idea that if I can't work out a deal here I would quit looking for awhile. Northgate was a great experience. To my surprise there were no pushy sales representatives seeking me out as I looked at cars. I decided to take a test drive, so I went inside and still no pushy sales people coming up to me. I walked up to first sales person I saw, Vicki Wilburn. And I must say she was a dream to work with, she went above and beyond. 5 stars all the way. What 6 other dealerships couldn't do for me Vicki was able to pull off and I drove away with the Mustang of my dreams. My only regret about the whole ordeal, is that I did not go to Nothgate Ford first. Next car we buy we are going there first. read more

This has been the worst experience I have ever had. I had my car towed to Northgate Ford on Tuesday 12/29/2020. There has been no response no one will answer the phone. I called and asked for a manager and was told "because I sent my car there doesn't mean they going to look at it" and then I was put on hold. This is a 2019 ford edge my only transportation. No one has even called to apologize or offer me a rental. I will NEVER take my car back there again and I will be calling ford today. I have things I need to do and being with out a car for 4 days with no follow up is unexcepable. I will be getting it towed come Monday to another dealership. read more

Do not buy from here. We've gone back and forth with the service department (Doug) and management (Lisa Crowder) over windshield wipers that wouldn't work. They assured us that they were working normally, but they were not. It wasn't until we threatened to sue that they took us seriously. I demanded they send the truck to another dealer in their group for diagnosis and it was then successfully fixed. Like my sales guy Paul a lot, he's been there a long time and can be trusted and is solid for follow up. However their service department seems less than competent. We had a stereo issue that was sorta resolved but left us with noise cancelling issue that randomly occurs and Bluetooth that requires you to max volume to hear anyone. I reviewed earlier about the truck that turned about to be a lemon - ford told us we can get a replacement vehicle and will take "no time" We got the truck on November/2017 In my driveway is a truck that is a loaner and again far less value than WHAT WE ARE PAYING!!!!!! We have 2 escapes due to end their lease - the original plan was to turn them in and consider an explorer or expedition. We wanted to do it this past month as we are taking the family on a 16 hour drive to Florida. Well now we have been too scared to get a new vehicle as we don't have the one we are paying on!! I have reached out to Ford and no one cares to respond. In my opinion save your time and money - makes the American made vehicle company look awful. If I could give the dealership negative stars, I would. I dropped off my car for a recall repair on a Sunday night for what was to be a 1/2 day job. I called SEVEN TIMES throughout the day to check on the status and NEVER got an answer! I left numerous voice mails with no call back. At 5:50, I called the sales manager as the service was impossible to reach and he told me my car wasn't ready and they need to keep it another day!! Helloooooo I work and need my car!! I will not have to pay for an Uber to get to work in the morning, leave work early tomorrow and pay an Uber to drive me to the dealership. **WARNING ANDRE SINGLETON AND NORTHGATE DECEPTIVE** Andre had great and comforting things to say about his level of commitment and service to me, right up until i signed on the dotted line. During my test drive i thought it was odd the way he was sitting sideways the entire time, until i drove off the lot and noticed my passenger window tint was ruffled. no big deal, but a blatant warning sign of the negative experiences to come. Andre did not know what the 5 digit code was for my drivers door the night i bought my Certified Pre Owned 2015 Ford Fusion, and told me he would get it to me soon. even after a follow up call a few weeks later, in which i was promised the door code once again, I never received the entry code for the car i had just paid them well for with my hard earned money, one of the features I paid for, of course, being the keyless door code entry. I took my car camping in a remote area of Pennsylvania last month, and the keys ended up getting locked in the trunk. A call to the dealership on Saturday morning again pleading for the entry code to my car was answered by Ben. I heard him asking Andre about the code, which he said he could not get for me until Monday. I ended up having to break into my brand new car that day just to get home, as there were no locksmiths available on the weekend to come to my location. The entire situation would of been a non-issue if not for the consistent, negligent service of Andre Singleton. can i mention one more time, that i STILL do not have the entry code for my car. Even after this happened to me and he was made aware of the situation, Andre STILL did not decide it was important enough for him to get me my door code. this is the level of service you can expect from Andre Singleton. Regardless of my terrible experiences with this individual Andre, i decided to schedule my 60,000 mile Ford Recommended Maintenance with Northgate, and after discussing the levels of service available, (presented to me as 2 options, a basic maintenance for $40, or the Ford Recommended for $407.) I opted to schedule the Ford Recommended, and scheduled the Steering Wheel Safety Recall to happen at the same time. I confirmed pricing multiple times while setting up my appointment, letting the lady i spoke to know i was scheduling it 2 weeks out for budgeting concerns. I walk into Northgate for my service appointment 6-13-18, and i am asked to pay a price over $600, when I questioned the gentleman over the price, and informed him that I was told it was much less while setting up the appointment, he just kept rudely and repeatedly tapping his fingernail on his plastic sign with service prices listed on it, behaving as if I were trying to con him into a better deal. He completely ignored the fact that I had a serious customer service issue i needed addressed. This man was on the service counter furthest to the left. After deciding not to give Northgate Ford another penny of my hard earned money ever again in my life at this point, i left the service center without even being offered to have my safety recall completed. This shows me their level of care/concern for the safety of the public and their customers while on the roadways, once the check has cleared you will mean nothing to them but some green numbers on the books. ***This is a 100% true testimony from a legitimate customer of a Certified Pre-Owned 2015 Ford Fusion Hybrid purchased in November 2017, purchase from Northgate Ford at your OWN RISK!! Overcharged and didn't fix the problem. I had to have it towed back to dealership after I was stranded at work, at which point they wouldn't cover the tow charge. Go to a personal mechanic or if you have to go to dealership go to Joseph Ford. I was charged 600 plus for a new battery and the real issue was a known fuse overload problem. Nice experience buying a used car here. Found a potential car listed on AutoTrader and didn't feel overly pressured by our salesman, Ed, while checking it out. They wouldn't come down on the AutoTrader price (which was below what they list in the lot), but worked with us on the trade-in to get where we wanted. Of course they try to upsell you the usual warranty packages but didn't press the issue when we declined. I mean, it's hard to get stoked about the car-buying process like you would a new taco place. But overall we are happy with the car, the deal we got, and the experience we had getting it. read more

Had to have vehicle towed in, bad starter. Had to call them to make sure truck made it. Was told they would call with info, never have called. Called twice, totally got the run around, no info. Now on day 3, still nothing. Need to work, pick up kids, you know have a life. But not a peep, no eta, hasn't even been moved. Yes, we checked. Not professional. Very dissatisfied. I bought a 2015 Chevy Suburban from Northgate Ford and the transmission went out less than 60 days after purchasing. It's very disappointing to buy a vehicle from a dealership and have to deal with these kind of mechanical issues IMMEDIATELY after. I literally payed $25,000 for a vehicle only to have to drop another $3,200 into it two months later. If I had bought from a private party, I realize I would be taking a risk. However, buying from a dealership (especially one as "renowned" as Northgate Ford) I thought I could at least be confident the vehicle had been thoroughly inspected. Everything was great overall as far as the buying process from this dealership, but in hindsight I would definitely trade the VIP treatment I got while purchasing the vehicle in for some QUALITY ASSURANCE. I can't imagine ever considering a vehicle from Northgate Ford again. Not their partners at Borcherding or Springfield GMC either. This has been a very upsetting experience. BUYER BEWARE! read more

I bought a used Suburban from Northgate Ford in July and while my buying car experience was good my experience with their service department is horrible. I should also mention when I bought my Suburban I was told the Ford mechanics are trained to work on Chevy vehicles and should be able to fix any issue I have. I was having issues with my windshield wipers, while they were in the delay mode, they were not working. My salesman, Tom, called me to see how I was liking my Suburban. I told him it was great except this problem. He talked to his service department and said to bring it in and they would fix it for free. They replaced the windshield wiper stalk. I left there, tried the new stalk out and the same problem which got me thinking that maybe it was rain sensing, sure enough it was. I called Tom back and told him. The next time it rained I waited for my wipers to go, at first they started ok then as time went on they went slower and I wouldn't be able to see out of my windshield. I called Tom back and said they are not working properly. He said bring it in and we will take a look. On a sunny day I brought the Suburban back, a technician came out and said your right, they are not working. I then informed him that they were rain sensing and my problem was when it is raining they do not keep up. We scheduled a time to bring it back to have a further look at them. This is where my real issue began. The service department took a bottle of water, sprayed it directly on the sensor and the windshield wipers turned on. I got a call saying there was no issue and to come pick up my Suburban. I told them that is not acceptable. I have video on my phone of them not working properly. We were told to come up and they will show us how it works. So instead of looking for any issue with the windshield wiper they just assumed I am a girl and don't know how rain sensing wipers work, even though I had to tell their technician that they were rain sensing. Doug Sears (not sure if it is the right spelling) comes out, squirts water on the sensor and the wipers go. Again, I said that is not my issue, the longer they go the slower they get without change in my speed or change with the amount of rain. I told them again, I have video on my phone. Also, when you touch the sensor from the inside it would turn on the wipers, which we showed them. It took my boyfriend asking for their legal name before they said they would send us to a GMC service department where they found the sensor had a short in it. Northgate Ford's service department did not even look into it because they just assumed I didn't know how rain sensing wipers worked. Over the last 2 week I have left 2 message for their GM, Lisa, to call me back to discuss this horrible experience with her and she has not returned my calls. You need to do better Northgate Ford. I should not have to fight this hard for you to do your job. read more

We originally stopped at another dealership to look at a used car, but their idea of a barely smoked in car was one with burn holes in the headliner. Since we had driven two hours to the Cincinnati area we decided to check in a car at Northgate as well. We were met by Andre who showed us the cars that were if interest to us. He did not pressure us to make the purchase, but instead he asked questions to make sure we found the right car for us. We decided to think about it and after a day we decided to drive the two hours each way to buy the car. Andre was helpful in getting us a better price so we could make the purchase. Overall it was a great experience. Be sure to ask for Andre when you get there. read more

So, I wrote a positive review on here when i purchased my new mustang 2 months ago. Well, In the 71 days I have had ownership this is how it works out: 1 week then into the shop for a air dam replacement(PDI damage before i purchased), 3 days later in the shop for a severe vibration. In the shop for 10 days. They rotated the tires(in ten days), got the car back and was a mess(seats laid back\, head rest off, foot prints on my dash?!?!, rap music blasting on radio level 48, garbage on the floors), andd vibration still there. Took right back and had service adviser ride along, immediately felt vibration. BACK into the shop. 11 days later they rotated my driveshaft 180 degrees and said its done, picked it up and NOPE! still vibrates. Back in the shop and finally 25 days later its still not fixed and they told me "its normal for your car to vibrate". :-/ what? a brand new $40,000 car is designed to vibrate? when..3 other dealerships later(all verifying the issue) and We drove 9 other mustangs same as mine and NOT ONE had a vibration. Guess my car was designed differently. Went back to northgate and had the manager drive my car, felt the vibration. Went back to dealer to swap the car for another one.....this is where it gets very sad.....Instead of doing the right thing and taking my car with 1600 miles(1/2 those from the shop) back and getting me in a comparable, not a fancy one but same as mine. The sales manager says i have numbers for you...wait? what? she says my car has issues and they can only give me $26000 for my car i JUST bought there and I will need to purchase a new car at retail. Yes, you read that right. My car I bought WITH a vibration(said it was flatspots on the tires not to worry) now has a issue and its MY problem. No, not really. I gave them a chance(many chances) to do the right thing. Instead they took me for a fool and said "I wanted to trade into something else"....Now It will be up to a lawyer, arbitrator and many great weeks of trying to get this resolved in my future. In the meanwhile I have reserved a booth at SEMA in vegas, I will be right next to the FORD booth as I have been the past 8 years and this time will be a surprise for everyone walking by. I purchase 2-3 new cars a year, never have I EVER had an experience like this. My 16' jeep does not vibrate, my old truck does not vibrate, matter of fact none of these: 2015 ram diesel, 2017 Jeep cherokee, 2016 jeep rubicon, 2016 toyota tacoma, 2014 camaro ss, 2012 f350, both my 2013 and 2014 raptors vibrated,,,NONE...All bought by me!. Have you driven a ford lately? I have and its NOT great. One thing is certain, a bad product is 20% of the issue, customer service is 80%....10 customers with good service may tell one person, 1 person with crappy service will tell 100's. I will gladly show and prove these issues to anyone. 2017 mustang GT, ALL stock 1680 miles, garage kept, babied. now sits b/c it is terrible to drive. read more
