My boyfriend made a complaint because he paid $90 and got shitty flowers and the Indian woman who worked there called me and basically blamed me for the reason why the flowers were dying. They IM'd back they would call in the morning and took care of doing exactly what we wanted. They called when the flowers were out for delivery and when they were delivered. I normally hate going to a florist because they tend to be a rip-off. But for a friend's birthday, I wanted something more special than Safeway flowers so I popped into Northgate Florist. It's a one-woman show in here. She answers phones, creates the arrangements, runs the register, and she is fantastic. I told her I wanted a bouquet and that I needed to keep it around $30. After asking me whether I wanted scented or unscented flowers, she began swooping around the shop, picking up two of these, three of these, and creating a gorgeous bouquet before my eyes in about 20 seconds. As she was performing her wizardry, she told me to stop her if I didn't like something she chose, but there was no need. She wrapped it beautifully and was just SO NICE. It felt good to support this local business-owner. The shop is small but has a really good selection. There are all sorts of prepared arrangements and plants, stuffed animals, vases, and greeting cards. Delivery is available in Marin County. I will definitely have arrangements made here in the future. read more

Well, I waited all day for my friend to call me and say thank you for the flowers'.........................but nothing. Finally, I could take it no more and called her. She had no idea that flowers were coming to her, and she hadn't received anything. So, I called the florist and she called me back the next morning and said that since it was raining, she wanted to make sure my friend was home. She also said she called three times to the address and no one answered. I then asked the florist why she didn't call me( she had my cell number) and was told that she didn't see the need.?????!!!!! There was no apology, but she did credit my account. Just bad service on her part, and I think the truth is that the flowers were simply not delivered. We have never had such awful service from a florist in San Rafael, nor would my Mother in Law's shop tolerate such a travesty. Stay away at all costs, they are worthless and cannot spell a simple name right on a card. Try anyone BUT these guys. The entire basket could not have cost them 10 dollars, but they charge 70 and show up late and everything is stale and cheap. The worst. Not only were they very kind, but they delivered on everything I asked for and more! Soheila was our wedding florist and did the bridal bouquet, bridesmaids' bouquets, groom's boutonniere, wedding cake accents, centerpieces and altar pieces. The flowers were romantic and classic with all white/creme and green hues. Just magnificent. Quality: Soheila is an extremely talented florist. I received a tropical bouquet as a thank you from Northgate. BEAUTIFUL, fresh and arranged in such a lovely way. I stopped in last week to see who is in the shop. The owner and his wife are just as lovely, helpful and sincere. They know a lot about flowers and carry good quality products in their store from what I saw. Because they are from another country I can see misspellings if one is not patient. They are very kind people working hard to do their best. This is kind of weird. My birthday is next Wednesday, and my boyfriend called 1-800-flowers to have flowers delivered to my work. (Nice guy). Anyway 1-800-flowers goes through florists that are closest to the address they need to deliver to, in this case Northgate Florist. So, today, a week before my birthday, I get flowers delivered to work. Their mistake. My boyfriend called them and yelled at them or whatever, words were exchanged, and they said they were going to deliver flowers AGAIN on my actual birthday to make up for it. Then I went to lunch. When I get back, there is a guy from the flower shop waiting for me. He said he came to take back the delivery, since they are now delivering them next week. I was like "you want me to GIVE BACK the flowers?" SO I told him I would rather keep the ones I have now then give them back and get them again next week (what were they gonna do with them anyway? Give them to someone else? Keep them in the freezer until next week?). He called his boss to approve, and told me "she said it doesn't make a difference in profit to her so if thats what you want to do, ok".... It was really awkward and unprofessional, in my opinion. Then my boyfriend had to call 1-800-flowers again and what ended up happening is that they are going to send "a few" flowers next week and an apology letter. I ordered a floral arrangement for a family member's funeral. First, they said that the price on their web page was incorrect and that it was $20 more. They blamed Teleflora for the discrepancy although the web site was under their own name. When I saw the flowers at the funeral service they were wilted. I asked them in writing for a refund and they never responded, so I asked the credit card company to dispute the charge. Eventually the dispute dept. told me that the flowers needed to be returned for refund. Like I was going to take a bunch of flowers away from someone's casket to get a refund! read more

My husband and I could not spend Valentines Day together this year, because I was helping my good friend deliver her baby. It took 19.5 hours and we happily changed our plans to welcome the new life. When I got home at 10:45pm, there were 12 long stemmed red roses on the counter. I was very happy to see the flowers and exhausted at the same time. The next morning, My husband tells me that the flowers were outrageous, I figured so being it was Valentines Day and all, but for what he got, it was a slap in the face. $100.00 for 12 roses. That is just rude. That is taking advantage of a man who was holding teething 6 month old. My husband said they didn't quote him a price, our baby was upset and at the end, they charged him 100 bucks. I "get" that it was a major holiday, but even that is too much. I can understand $75.00 for a beautiful arrangement, but these were terrible for that kind of cash! THERE WAS NO FILLER! Yes, you heard me...NO FILLER! No babies breath, no greenery, no "pretty little pink or white or any other color flowers for that matter. The roses just fell to one side in a vase. It is the saddest bunch of roses ever, and today just 5 days after purchase.....they are wilted and dying. TERRIBLE! I've never had flowers turn brown and wilt within days! Especially $100.00 flowers at that! This place does VERY poor business, overcharges and gives you a crappy product.
