Barbara did such a beautiful job on the tropical arrangement and had it delivered outside of her business hours. I truly appreciate her flexibility and her patience talking me through the options over the phone. She's very responsive and professional. read more

WOW, I stumbled upon Northgate Florist while doing business in a shopping center I do not frequent, but BOY I am so glad I did! This cute little Mom and Pop shop is overflowing with beautiful fresh flowers and the Owner Barbara was by far a dream to work with. With a same day delivery of a specialty arrangement, Barbara not only delivered the arrangement herself, but followed the experience up with a personal phone call to make sure everyone was happy with the design! Talk about customer service! I have many clients and I am making sure Northgate Florist is my go-to for fresh, beautiful and VERY affordable arrangements from now on! Thank you Barbara! read more

Barbara made 2 exquisite arrangements for us on short notice. It was my wife's special day - a hallmark birthday - and i wanted it to be a bit 'wonderful'. Barbara really came through for us. - the mixed dozen roses [red and violet] were lucious - the orchid center piece just "over the top", just what I wanted The service was kind and super supportive. Thanks. read more

I ordered flowers for Mother's Day and went for the custom option leaving it down to the florist to decide after setting a dollar amount. Fabulous! The owner was amazing! She was able to make the delivery the same day with a lovely arrangement. Thanks so much!

Great service and floral creations are spot on- if you want a bouquet that does not scream "Safeway" you will not be disappointed

What a ripoff... I spent close to $200 because the arrangement looked large and beautiful. What was delivered was small and looked like I spent $40 on the flowers. If the picture on their website looked like the result that was delivered, I would have NEVER ordered these flowers. I would give them fewer stars if there were a way to give negative ratings. read more

Northgate Florist - The flowers ordered did not look like the ones online. Don't buy from them. You are wasting your money. - Florists Near Me - San Rafael, California

I did some searching before I called north gate florist. I am so grateful I spoke with the owner Barbara. She made a gorgeous arrangement of flowers for the family of my very best friend. I live in NYC and when my friend of almost 50 years passed away I was beyond words. I spoke on the phone with Barbara briefly describing our friendship and she created precisely what I wanted. This florist deserves 10 stars for amazing service. The arrangement was beyond my expectations and she was kind enough to send me a photo. Grateful for this wonderful caring owner. I am a firm believer in supporting local businesses. Thank-you Barbara for creating a wonderful arrangement. read more

WOW! Absolutely beautiful. So true to the arrangement pictured online too! This was a last-minute "thinking of you" order for a friend in need and it arrived within a few hours. This arrangement took my breath away when I walked into the room. It was nothing less than perfect. I wish I had the option of giving triple stars. Thank you, Barbara. Side note: I NEVER leave Yelp reviews EVER because I don't support Yelp policies, but this review opportunity couldn't be passed up. read more

Northgate Florist - Autumn arrangement by Northgate Florist. AMAZING! This is the deluxe option. Totally worth the extra money. - Florists Near Me - San Rafael, California

Terrible terrible terrible!!! I will never use this florist or recommend it to anyone again! When I got my flowers the flower peddles were already dying and the next day I came to work flowers that weren't even bloomed yet fell out. My boyfriend made a complaint because he paid $90 and got shitty flowers and the Indian woman who worked there called me and basically blamed me for the reason why the flowers were dying. She said it was too warm in my work. She was rude and gave me a attitude. So basically she didn't admit she was wrong. DO NOT US THIS FLORIST!!! read more

I ordered a standing floral arrangement for a celebration of life for my BFF's father, and although I didn't see the flowers personally, the picture says it all. The arrangement looks stunning and the family was so appreciative. They arrived on time, exactly at the time I requested and was the show stopper at the entrance to the mass. They did a great job, and I can't thank them enough! read more

Amazing florist. We had to order online as we live so far from San Rafael. The order was placed on a Sunday then I sent an IM with special instructions. They IM'd back they would call in the morning and took care of doing exactly what we wanted. They called when the flowers were out for delivery and when they were delivered. Unbelievable customer service and the bouquet was so beautiful. This florist goes above and beyond to assure they exceed all expectations. read more

My husband has bought numerous bouquets of flowers over the years from Northgate Florist. Love this florist! So close to my office! Beautiful flowers and friendly owner Barbara and her sister Linda!!

I normally hate going to a florist because they tend to be a rip-off. But for a friend's birthday, I wanted something more special than Safeway flowers so I popped into Northgate Florist. It's a one-woman show in here. She answers phones, creates the arrangements, runs the register, and she is fantastic. I told her I wanted a bouquet and that I needed to keep it around $30. After asking me whether I wanted scented or unscented flowers, she began swooping around the shop, picking up two of these, three of these, and creating a gorgeous bouquet before my eyes in about 20 seconds. As she was performing her wizardry, she told me to stop her if I didn't like something she chose, but there was no need. She wrapped it beautifully and was just SO NICE. It felt good to support this local business-owner. The shop is small but has a really good selection. There are all sorts of prepared arrangements and plants, stuffed animals, vases, and greeting cards. Delivery is available in Marin County. I will definitely have arrangements made here in the future. read more

I used Barbara for 3 floral arrangements for my appearance on television on Bay Area Focus for my table setting business Set The Occasion. I am a perfectionist and she awed me and arranged 3 amazing bouquets. I have used her multiple times since and she never disappoints. Her eye for arrangements surpass most florists. Highly recommend. read more

My last minute boutonniere order was accommodated perfectly (a day and a half notice). However I suggest you do your research. The price was outrageous for what I received: A single rose bud with 2 sprigs of greenery - for $40. Beyond ridiculous gouging, this was a disappointing purchase. read more

Well, I waited all day for my friend to call me and say thank you for the flowers'.........................but nothing. Finally, I could take it no more and called her. She had no idea that flowers were coming to her, and she hadn't received anything. So, I called the florist and she called me back the next morning and said that since it was raining, she wanted to make sure my friend was home. She also said she called three times to the address and no one answered. I then asked the florist why she didn't call me( she had my cell number) and was told that she didn't see the need.?????!!!!! There was no apology, but she did credit my account. Just bad service on her part, and I think the truth is that the flowers were simply not delivered. My friend was home all day and did not receive one phone call. read more

Bottom of the barrel. Charged my mother in law who is in the floral business to deliver a gift basket full of dollar store stale crap in a gift basket. We have never had such awful service from a florist in San Rafael, nor would my Mother in Law's shop tolerate such a travesty. Stay away at all costs, they are worthless and cannot spell a simple name right on a card. Try anyone BUT these guys. The entire basket could not have cost them 10 dollars, but they charge 70 and show up late and everything is stale and cheap. The worst. This is an edit, you either need to step up to some new business practices, or find something else to do. read more

10 stars to Northgate florist! (100 stars if I could!) This really speaks to how amazing Soheila and Saeed of Northgate are. Not only were they very kind, but they delivered on everything I asked for and more! Soheila was our wedding florist and did the bridal bouquet, bridesmaids' bouquets, groom's boutonniere, wedding cake accents, centerpieces and altar pieces. The flowers were romantic and classic with all white/creme and green hues. Just magnificent. Quality: Soheila is an extremely talented florist. I showed her a couple of images of what I was envisioning, and she executed to a T. In fact, her arrangements were even more beautiful than the images I showed her. All my guests commented on how beautiful the flowers were! Value: I appreciated that Soheila was budget conscious. She provided the most beautiful arrangement while staying within my stated budget. Responsiveness: She was great to work with, very easy to communicate with, and had many great suggestions as we were brainstorming various ideas. Overall, if you are looking for a professional wedding florist with a fantastic vision, go to Northgate Florist. You will not be disappointed. Soheila and Saeed, thank you for making our wedding day so magical!! read more

I received a tropical bouquet as a thank you from Northgate. BEAUTIFUL, fresh and arranged in such a lovely way. I stopped in last week to see who is in the shop. The owner and his wife are just as lovely, helpful and sincere. They know a lot about flowers and carry good quality products in their store from what I saw. Because they are from another country I can see misspellings if one is not patient. They are very kind people working hard to do their best. I'll be coming to them for my own flowers for others! read more

Super product and excellent service. I called down last Monday morning to have flowers delivered to my wife's office. They still had the notes and instructions from my last call, and got the flowers there by lunch. This is kind of weird. My birthday is next Wednesday, and my boyfriend called 1-800-flowers to have flowers delivered to my work. (Nice guy). Anyway 1-800-flowers goes through florists that are closest to the address they need to deliver to, in this case Northgate Florist. So, today, a week before my birthday, I get flowers delivered to work. Their mistake. My boyfriend called them and yelled at them or whatever, words were exchanged, and they said they were going to deliver flowers AGAIN on my actual birthday to make up for it. Then I went to lunch. When I get back, there is a guy from the flower shop waiting for me. He said he came to take back the delivery, since they are now delivering them next week. I was like "you want me to GIVE BACK the flowers?" SO I told him I would rather keep the ones I have now then give them back and get them again next week (what were they gonna do with them anyway? Give them to someone else? Keep them in the freezer until next week?). He called his boss to approve, and told me "she said it doesn't make a difference in profit to her so if thats what you want to do, ok".... It was really awkward and unprofessional, in my opinion. Then my boyfriend had to call 1-800-flowers again and what ended up happening is that they are going to send "a few" flowers next week and an apology letter. Good thing I have a sense of humor... read more

I ordered a floral arrangement for a family member's funeral. First, they said that the price on their web page was incorrect and that it was $20 more. They blamed Teleflora for the discrepancy although the web site was under their own name. When I saw the flowers at the funeral service they were wilted. I asked them in writing for a refund and they never responded, so I asked the credit card company to dispute the charge. Eventually the dispute dept. told me that the flowers needed to be returned for refund. Like I was going to take a bunch of flowers away from someone's casket to get a refund! read more

f I could give a zero review I would. I am not one to write reviews unless the service is amazing or appalling, and this is a bad one.... My husband and I could not spend Valentines Day together this year, because I was helping my good friend deliver her baby. It took 19.5 hours and we happily changed our plans to welcome the new life. When I got home at 10:45pm, there were 12 long stemmed red roses on the counter. I was very happy to see the flowers and exhausted at the same time. The next morning, My husband tells me that the flowers were outrageous, I figured so being it was Valentines Day and all, but for what he got, it was a slap in the face. $100.00 for 12 roses. That is just rude. That is taking advantage of a man who was holding teething 6 month old. My husband said they didn't quote him a price, our baby was upset and at the end, they charged him 100 bucks. I "get" that it was a major holiday, but even that is too much. I can understand $75.00 for a beautiful arrangement, but these were terrible for that kind of cash! THERE WAS NO FILLER! Yes, you heard me...NO FILLER! No babies breath, no greenery, no "pretty little pink or white or any other color flowers for that matter. The roses just fell to one side in a vase. It is the saddest bunch of roses ever, and today just 5 days after purchase.....they are wilted and dying. TERRIBLE! I've never had flowers turn brown and wilt within days! Especially $100.00 flowers at that! This place does VERY poor business, overcharges and gives you a crappy product. Do yourself a favor and go to a florist in Sausalito on Bridgeway and spend 15 bucks less for 5x more... read more
