I was lucky enough to get Carrie on the phone. They did not have what I wanted, but Carrie took the time to kindly realign our expectations. The bulbs we were looking at turned out to be only 3 watt and not even an option for ambient lighting GTH. She made alternate suggestions and even offered to call her wholesaler and order us some samples. Carrie was awesome. Gosh I hope I am spelling her name correctly . These folks are our lighting folks for life. Superior service, kind caring and friendly staff. It doesn't get much better than this.

I just left the store extremely disappointed by the customer service we received…read more When we entered the store, the young associate looked directly in our direction but never greeted us. We were the only customers in the store. As I made my way toward the register, where she was sitting, I greeted her and said, "Oh, I guess you didn't see us." Her response was simply, "Oh, hi," with no further acknowledgment or engagement. At that point, I told my girlfriend I was ready to leave because it certainly felt as though our business--and our money--wasn't valued. I had actually planned to purchase several home scents because the store carries a unique selection. I have shopped here before and have never experienced this type of disregard or lack of customer service. I hope the owners or management see this review and take the opportunity to address the importance of acknowledging and welcoming customers. A simple greeting and a little courtesy can make a significant difference in the shopping experience. Unfortunately, today's experience caused me to leave without making a purchase.

As I was walking down the sidewalk of the Wall Street entrance of WyndRose Boutique, which is…read morelocated right across from the Historic Roanoke City Market Building, the amazingly beautiful items behind the windows of this Gift Boutique Shop attracted my attention. So much so that I had to stop and enter the shop. Once inside, I had the privilege of meeting Rachelle Walker, the owner of WyndRose, and one who possesses not only a wonderful taste, but one of the nicest personalities of anyone I've ever met. She has grace with style, and this is reflected in all of the unique and beautiful store merchandise from all over the world and the splendid way they all have been staged. She greeted me with a warm welcome and invited me to explore her Gift Boutique that is focused on fair trade and sustainably sourced home decor with a selection of jewelry and some apparel. All the colorful and beautiful gift items there made me a believer. And if this wasn't enough, I was also very impressed with how reasonably they were priced. Customers definitely got more value for their hard earned money. When I went home I visited the Boutique's website, of which I also invite the readers of this review to explore: https://wyndroseboutique.com/ And was fascinated by easy it was to explore all their items by categories, including Brands and Local Artists. I highly recommend everyone reading my review and viewing my photographs that accompany it, to visit this gem of a Boutique that is clearly one of the Star City of Roanoke most valuable gems.

The service, product quality, and price were all great. First, the communication and cooperation from the company was amazing. They worked with me to send the shipment on a specific day from the east coast, to arrive on a specific day from the west coast, so I could be here to sign for the goods. Second, the shipment arrived exactly on time, was in excellent condition, and looked incredible when I got it upstairs and out of the boxes. Some minor assembly was required, but was manageable even without the enclosed directions. Third, the price on line was a great value. I have sought out similar items online- I did have several months to research this, after all. Under The Roof turned out to have the best prices AND the best service. I highly recommend them, and hope to purchase more great furniture from them soon.

Not only can you find new products, but there are over 500 old doors and door knobs and fireplace mantles and most anything else you can think of. Whatever you do, do not stop at the first floor. Then when you go upstairs to the third floor, (which does look dark and not necessarily inviting) there you'll find an artisan working in his corner shop creating Stainglass windows.
