Just let me tell you about the long and convoluted history I have with Northcutt Toyota.
When we went to buy our car, We wanted a blue Toyota Corolla LE. We told the salesman on the end of one business day. The price of the car was 16,500. We were told to come in the next day to fill out the paperwork. First thing the very next morning we received a call from the salesman stating that he was so sorry but that car was now sold however he had some other cars he would be happy to show us. We wanted a car that was right around that 16,5 mark and everything he showed us was way off that mark. The salesman kept saying I think I can get this down to your price let me just check with my boss. Then he would come back with a price that was way too high. I told him we were inflexible to the price as we were paying in full and that is the amount of money we had budgeted for a car. He insisted that we could finance a car. We responded that we were not going to go down that route as we don't go over out budget once we set it. I told him we would just go somewhere else. Then miraculously he can get us an even better car than the one we wanted at the same price we had budgeted, We just had to wait for it to be delivered from the city it was supposed to be a Black Toyota Corolla S for 16.5 after rebates and trade-in. We test drove a car that they had on their lot that was supposed to be exactly like the one that we were going to be receiving the next day from the city. (We should have know something was fishy that they had one on the lot exactly like it but the price was dramatically different) anyway we paid (more than we agreed on because now the boss says that we couldn't use rebates if selling that cheap) signed everything etc. Well, the next day our car comes and it isn't a Black Toyota Corolla S, it is a Gray Toyota Corolla LE. huh, well we decided just to keep the car. We were going to pay 16,5 for a blue Toyota Corolla LE, and the gray Toyota Corolla LE was nicer than the blue so maybe worth the extra 1000?
So, about I don't know, 6 months later, we started hearing a noise coming from the tire on the back drivers side. I took it up to Northcutt Toyota Service department to get it inspected. I waited forever, finally I got called to go up and sign to get my car. I asked the receptionist if they found out what was wrong with my car, she then told my I would have to call back up there later as the tech was In a meeting. Well huh, So I go home and call back up there and they tell me my tire is out of round and will need to be replaced. I ask if they have the tire I need in stock to which the answer is no so I decide I'm going to take it to sears instead so I can get it fixed immediately. Sears takes the tire off then comes to get me because their is a big bolt sticking out of my tire It is about 21/2 inched in diameter. How did Northcutt Toyota miss this?
Then about 2 months later, my car is hit in a hit and run. It now has a dent in the side near the trunk. I take it up to Northcutt Toyota parts department to get an estimate. I am told that it will cost around 800.00 to fix. I ask if they cant just pull the dent out. They explain that insurance will pay for it. I explain that it was a hit and run so I don't have their insurance information. I swear they act dumb and just keep insisting that the other people's insurance will pay for it. I want to rip out my hair, I didn't get their information they left did not stick around just drove off no way of knowing who even hit it how is insurance going to pay for it. Still cant get an answer on pulling the dent. So I leave, do a little research on line. I think I can do this, it doesn't seem that hard. I ordered a dent puller from amazon. It came two days later. I went out to my car, stuck the suction cup to the dent tightened the device, pulled, and guess what? NO MORE DENT. no damage at all in fact. $15.00 is all that it cost. Northcutt Toyota is a rip off. Don't go though them if you can help it. read more
