Despite their website indicating that they want to help you maximize your insurance benefits, they…read morehave deliberate anti-consumer internal policies when it comes to notifying patients of out-of-network status. Given our experience, we do not believe this practice prioritizes patient financial interests. My wife came in for a routine cleaning in March 2026 and presented our new insurance (Guardian DentalGuard Preferred) but was never informed it was out of network. Because of this, we did not get the opportunity to seek care elsewhere before services were rendered. Had we been known we were out of network, we would have gone to an in-network provider and owed nothing. Instead, we received a bill *months later* for $183. Their website says "We accept all traditional dental PPO insurances" and tells you to hand over your insurance card so they can "handle the hassle of dealing with insurance companies." A reasonable patient assumes that means they'll flag anything important about your coverage. Instead, we were told that they "assume all patients are aware of their network status", even though confirming this assumption would be as simple as an extra sentence or two. To make things worse, Guardian's own provider directory still lists a former Rachel Oates location as in-network... so even if you do your homework through Guardian's tools, you may still get the wrong answer. We tried multiple times to resolve this directly. No acknowledgment, no movement on the bill. If are a patient, or want to be one, we recommend: 1.) Call your insurer directly to confirm this practice is in network. Do not ask the practice. 2.) Review all coverage details beforehand so you are personally knowledgeable about any potential costs. 3.) Ask for a cost estimate before any work is done. In our experience, they do not offer this proactively. Or, just go to another dental practice that does these things for you.

Hoping for a refresh, I came to Aspen Grove Dental. Dr. Roberts understood exactly what I was wanting and promptly rolled out the plan of action - Several weeks of whitening, followed by new composite bonding. I am completely thrilled with the results! The entire process was so straightforward, I almost felt like I was doing something wrong. Dr. Roberts was friendly and professional at every turn, as was the dental hygienist (I believe her name was Mallory?) From consultation to execution, Aspen Grove impressed me at every step. The best way to describe it is a day spa, for your teeth! Dr. Gordon and her staff have, without question, gone above and beyond what I could have ever expected. She actually replaced a crown that SHE wasn't happy with at her own expense. Who does this? I've had a couple of cleanings by very gentle, competent, warm and friendly hygienists. I've had, I believe, six new crowns installed...and they are beautiful. Whatever expectation you have for a dentist, they will exceed it. I cannot express enough how warm, friendly, and caring the staff is. They almost make me feel as if I'm a family member. I would definitely recommend Franklin Dental Care.

I came to NRD with chronic jaw pain and an interest in a few cosmetic options for my smile. I had been to several dentist in the past and tried different procedures but to no avail. Dr. Jones is the first dentist in my life that was able to figure out the actual cause of my pain and devise a care plan to fix the problem. Thankfully, I have been pain free ever since. I also had multiple mercury fillings that needed to be remediated. NRD has an extensive protocol to prevent any further exposure to mercury. We were able to remove the fillings and replace them with safe, non-toxic white fillings. After we addressed my jaw pain and fillings, we were able to move forward with veneers. One of my front teeth had always been a different shape and color from the other. I wanted to brighten my smile and create a little more symmetry. We went with 6 veneers and I now have the smile I've always wanted. The team at NRD goes above and beyond for their patients. Scheduling is a breeze. Cami always greets you with a warm smile at the front desk. The hygienists are wonderful and thorough. Everyone works together to make your visit seamless. We just brought our 2 1/2 year old in for his first dental visit and to our surprise he loved it! Dr. Jones was a hit and made him feel very comfortable and excited to return to the dentist. The biggest issue I face is that I've been cursed with ultra-sensitive teeth. And most people who work on my teeth just butcher their approach. They eagerly whip out the Cavitron, my mortal enemy that ejects sprays of cold water, something that simulates my teeth being ripped out with pliers. Lazy hygienists seem to prefer this approach over simply scraping away the plaque by hand. After circulating through at least 15 dentist offices in my life, I finally found Laser Dentistry in Franklin. The drive coming down from Nashville is absolutely worth it!
