My experience with this company wasn't fantastic. They did a residential job for me in May, but…read morefailed to complete the work. It took another 6 months for them to finalize the job. Over that 6 months I received 8 calls from the office staff asking for final payment (very 1900's, they seem allergic to text or email). In each case I would tell them that I was waiting for them to finish the job and would send them photos detailing the remaining work. Then I wouldn't hear from them for weeks, until they called yet again to ask for payment, always surprised that the job hadn't been completed, and again asking for more photos. So all-in-all it wasn't a positive experience. I would say that the guys who did the actual tree work were very easy to work with, I found them to be both professional and friendly! The office staff wasn't easy to deal with; their sole focus seemed to be on pestering me for final payment with little interest in actually completing the job. Were I only reviewing the guys who do the actual tree work, I'd give them 5 stars.

Hiring Tree Sons was a great decision. Their large crane and skills allowed them to access and remove trees from around our one acre property without damaging the lawn or other landscaping. Our home is surrounded by very mature trees- many spruce, ash, oak, and maple. The ash have been dead for a while and this year, a giant Norway spruce thinned out and began to worry us. Enter Tree Sons Tree Service- they came out to do an estimate and then when we realized there were a few more trees we'd want removed, they came back out and we were assured that they would take care of all the dead ash in that section. Their knowledge of trees and how far one could reach if it fell was really helpful in deciding which trees should stay or go. They are able to pick dead trees out from in between others that are still alive! It's amazing! And, their quote was less than the others we got- the equipment is expensive so of course the work is as well. Unfortunately, I had to go to work and had to miss the fun of the crane dangling trees over our house, but when I came home, the trees were gone, and my yard had been cleaned up! All in a day's work! HOWEVER, they didn't even TRY to protect the grass by putting down plywood to drive their heavy trucks on like most anyone driving on soft grass for tree work. They created large ruts in the grass. I know this because I voluntarily cut this persons grass and my mower now jumps all over the place when I go over the ruts. I did the best I could to pull it back up but they are deep ruts and with a powerful commercial mower like mine it bounces all over the place almost out of control.
