I got the vehicle back - they had changed the PVC valve but incorrectly to where the next morning when driving to work in Meridian - I had no brakes. I'm lucky I didn't get into an accident or worse. I called Emmett Automotive, they asked me to drive it back to the shop in Emmett! I refused, it was unsafe to drive. They towed it to a sister shop of their's, Roger's tire where it was found that the PCV valve grommet was not put back on correctly, and because of that my motor sucked in quite a bit of oil. And then wouldn't stop. Blue smoke, burning tons of oil, and running terrible. They took it back for a couple of weeks and tried to fix it, but ultimately told me that I now needed a new engine, catalytic converter, and many other issues. I couldn't even drive my car away from their shop- I had to have it towed. I filed a small claim since they refused to make it right, the judge sided with me on the case and they are still refusing to pay. DISHONEST, Do not go to Emmett Automotive in Emmett unless you want to be out a car, or deal with a company that doesn't care. One of the employees was great - Dean. But his company will not do the right thing, even he knew that wasn't right.

A man directed us to Claire's, and we headed right over. It was 8:15am. He told us to pull the car in, and in 15 minutes the problem had been solved, and we were on our way before 9. What really impressed me the most was the honesty and kindness of Claire and his crew. We were in the perfect position to be taken advantage of -- passing through town, mechanically inept, desperate to get on with our honeymoon -- but I don't believe that thought ever crossed their mind. Finally found one who told us we had 15 minutes to get over to their shop or they couldn't take us (nice, right?) When I called the dispatcher at Art's, he told us his driver was about a half hour away. I shared with them our predicament and before we knew it our driver, Josh, appeared. In no time at all, he had our vehicle loaded onto the truck and gave us a ride to the dealership. The charges were reasonable and the driver very nice. It's such an awful feeling when your car breaks down away from home. Art's Towing made it much less stressful.

There was a roofing nail in the tread. He fixed it quickly and permanently. When I asked him what I owed, he said "don't worry about it, just stop by when you need other work done". As I was just passing through, I thanked him and gave him something for his trouble. Really appreciate his efforts and immediate attention. A chain store in Nampo told me it would be 2 hours before they could look at my truck. The last thing I wanted to do was sit in the parking lot for 2 hours with a 25 foot trailer just 30 minutes from my destination.
