I've used each of these at least half a dozen times and I've never had a bad experience. Professional, timely, warm, and never make me feel like I'm asking too much as far as questions and clarification. My only critique would be their primary veterinary care. Initially, we began routine veterinary services here but we would end up waiting upwards of 30 minutes to even get into a room, let alone see the veterinarian. And the prices are more expensive than my current primary veterinarian just a few miles away. We have since switched the primary care vet for my dog. BUT, I highly recommend any other service Creekside provides, I always know my pup is receiving excellent care here and I'm very grateful for the work they do.

The tech was amazing--very attentive and asked all the right questions. I was also glad to see Dr. Cristina Bettencourt again; she was just as wonderful as before. Together, they quickly came up with a plan and got Cinnamon treated with antibiotics, meds, and food to help his appetite. Cinnamon isn't just a pet--he's my constant companion and part of the family, so it's hard seeing him not feel like himself. I'm hopeful he'll start improving in the next couple of days. Overall, it was one of the best vet visits I've had in a long time.

Over the last 18 months we have had one crazy thing happen after another, it started with a new…read morepuppy and my vet of 20 years couldn't get us in. For new puppy wellness check. So we somehow lucked into finding Dr. Daugette at City Vet Keller. I know that City Vet is a chain, but Dr. D is far from being a chain veterinarian. She has been there for us at every turn, from ear infections to surgeries, life-threatening diseases to random agencies they are texting us on the weekends, answering emails late on a Saturday night, to conferring with specialist to seek possible answers when they seem like there were none. Our dog was diagnosed with a rare disease that took the life of her sister a few short years ago. I also lost my very first dog to this disease never believing that any dog could come back from it, because it just was so terrible. Each dog was treated and each dog eventually passed away. However, this time was different. She sought out specialists. She tried all different kinds of options and not only is our dog off most of the the medication's now. They really difficult on her body, but at 11, her numbers are back now in the normal range and it is nothing short of a miracle! We have a dog that is diabetic on two shots a day. We have a dog that has attacked our other dogs, and she has taken care of our babies like they were her own. We had a dog that had to be rushed into emergency surgery and if not for their care, she would no longer be with us. My husband and I got together late in life and we're not able to have a baby, so our dogs are the family that we loved dearly. This place has the vest vibes. The staff from the moment you walk in the door they are just different. They remember all of our dog's names and are excited to see them when they come. I can honestly say they treat them like they were their own. I trust Dr, D her advice and recommendations 100% without hesitation. She is always willing to work with us and explore any and all options, she spends time with you in the examination room, and we feel like her and the team there at City Vet are part of our extended family. I left my bed that I had been moved for 20 years because never and all this time have I ever been as cared for as we feel as City Vet Keller. If you are looking for a place that cares more about people and pets than make an appointment and you will see for yourself I promise. The last 18 months have been pretty awful in terms of how many doctor visits we have had to make and org /ical I/ situations emergency and otherwise it has been a huge financial investment, but all of our children a.k.a. puppies are still alive and kicking... even thriving! I know in my heart that bat is due to the team at City Vet Keller and the incredible Dr Daugette, hopefully I'm spelling that correctly. We cannot thank you enough through all the past 18 months from the laughs, to tears, over active Expression glands and all the stressful moments in between. One star - Poor care, no accountability, and a deeply unprofessional vet…read more It's unfortunate to write this, as I had been a loyal client of Boulevard Animal Hospital for years under the excellent and compassionate care of Dr. Joe Allen. But after his retirement, the quality of care declined--culminating in an unacceptable and unprofessional interaction with Dr. Erin Hauser. During a call about a serious and unexplained 8-pound weight loss in my dog over 60 days, I voiced reasonable concerns and asked direct questions about how this could have gone unnoticed. Dr. Hauser became immediately defensive, deflected blame to a vet tech, and ultimately hung up on me mid-call--claiming I was being "hostile." I was not. I was clear, firm, and appropriately concerned for my dog's health. Her response was reactive and unprofessional. I contacted the practice manager, Jennifer, who acknowledged this was not acceptable and said she expected Dr. Hauser to apologize. Instead, I was told Dr. Hauser cried and refused. After that, the practice went silent--no apology, no accountability, and no further communication. The final blow came when I received my pet's medical records. The notes had clearly been updated after the fact to include gaslighting language and self-protective reframing--mischaracterizing me as hostile, emotional, and irrational while avoiding any acknowledgment that a licensed vet had hung up on a concerned client. It was a textbook case of rewriting the narrative to protect the provider rather than the patient. That's not just unprofessional--it's unethical. This clinic once stood for high-quality, compassionate care. What I experienced was a breakdown in clinical standards, emotional deflection, and a vet more invested in defending herself than caring for the animal. I've taken my dog--and her records--elsewhere. I'm sharing this for every pet owner who expects honesty, care, and professionalism from their vet. You should never be gaslit or silenced for advocating for your animal.

I wanted to learn what kind of turtle, and the environment I should release it (far from busy roads). I did. But this last visit was a sad one. Polo developed a tumor, on his lower jaw, several months back. Options included risky surgeries (mandibulectomy), or traditional cancer therapies (chemo), that would greatly diminish his quality of life, and only marginally extend it. We did get several evaluations, all the same, grim, recommendations. The only real option, was enjoy Polo until the growth affected his well being, and then humanly end his suffering. That day was two days ago (9/8/2020). We brought Polo in to be humanly euthanized (I really do not like the term "put to sleep"). Writing this makes me sad, so let me finish by saying Dr. Gwynn and her staff were caring and compassionate every step of the way. I was able to stay with Polo, the entire time, right up his last breath and heartbeat. Toward the end, after the first shot, a tranquilizer, he even started purring. I like to think it was because he was no longer in pain, and that he could see me, and feel me holding him. It was, and continues to be, very sad. But I (we) are happy that Polo is no longer suffering. We are very grateful to Dr. Gwynn and her staff for their help with this difficult thing to do. Bottom line: We will miss you Polo, always.

This kind of treatment would really make me upset if it were towards my dogs, but rabbits are fragile and can literally die of a heart attack at loud noises, so this is quite a serious issue.

Dear North Texas Veterinary Clinic, After a decade of entrusting the care of our pets to your clinic, it is with great disappointment that we've decided to move on. When we first joined your clinic, it felt like a place that genuinely cared about its clients and their pets. However, over time, we've noticed a shift toward viewing clients as mere numbers and sources of revenue. The final issue that led to our decision was regarding our Chewy prescriptions. After three years of routine approvals, you suddenly declined them, requiring us to purchase the same prescriptions through your online service--at a significant markup of $100 more than alternative options. This approach struck us as unprofessional and felt driven by profit over customer care. It's deeply saddening for us to leave, especially as we've always appreciated Dr. Bell's compassionate care. However, this lack of consideration in key decisions has left us with no choice but to take our four pets to another clinic. While our departure may not impact your overall business, we believe it's important to prioritize trust and integrity in a veterinary practice. North Texas Vet is the best around! I am so grateful for Dr. Scheifley - he saved my cat's life. My cat Zoe is CRAZY. She is super sweet with my husband and I but with other people she's a beast so you can imagine how much she likes the vet. We took her in to get declawed and after a few hours Dr. Scheifley called with concerns about putting Zoe under. She was so stressed that any anesthesia or medication could have been traumatic. My friends and family have said that many other vets would have gone through with the procedure anyway, but Dr. Scheifley cared about my crazy little Zoe enough to know when to stop. He is going to work with us to figure out a safe way for this procedure to happen, one that will keep Zoe out of danger. I appreciate the way he cares for her so much! Your pets will truly be in wonderful hands at North Texas. For as long as I live in this area, they will have my business. read more

I was VERY pleased with my experience at North Tx Vet Clinic... I just got a new puppy about 3 weeks ago and never expected him to be so sick so quick. I have used another vet in my area for years and just wasn't happy with them, so I decided to give this place a shot even though it was out of my way. And I am so glad that I did. The doctor is very knowledgeable and super nice. My puppy was feeling better in no time. And I didn't feel taken advantage of, which is always nice. I'd say if you have a pet, this is the place to be! read more

Dr. James and his staff are excellent! He is young and he enjoys his job. It is obvious he you can tell he loves critters, cats! My other vet charged two times more than Dr. James I compared prices of a what they wanted to do when the got their rabies shots. My other vet wanted to do unnecessary stuff. Dr James wanted $75 and my other vet wanted $225. Dr. James was recommended by a friend. I am glad she did and would give him an unqualified vote of confidence. read more

Amazing service! My dogs are my life, and I expect them to get the same quality of care as I would want for myself, and Dr. James and his staff understand that. I highly recommend North Texas Vet Clinic in Keller! I have been a customer there since they opened and never once have I left feeling anything but pleased. Dr. James is not your typical vet. I began coming to this clinic last year with an aging pet that eventually had to be put to sleep…read more They were always kind and helpful. I would suggest the woman vet over the man though. My daughter received a puppy before Christmas and we were getting vaccines done there through the puppy package. Yesterday, I encountered an issue where I only had so much money available and had rescheduled an appointment from a Friday (pay day) to a Wednesday due concerns about the weather. We discussed before coming that I only wanted the two vaccines and it would be $30. Once there and telling the tech that I just wanted the two, she proceeded to take the dog back for shots. When she came back she said she gave her 3. When I went to check out, I informed them that I talked to someone in advance (actually twice) and all I could do was the $30. I informed them I would pay the rest on Friday which was less than $20. I know that isn't much but I did not have it. A woman by the name of Rachel came out from the back in full attack mode saying she couldn't take the third vaccine out of the dog therefore I HAD to pay in full. I told her that I requested just the two and it was on them but would pay the rest on Friday. She then humiliated me in front of my daughter by telling me to be a better mom and call someone for the money. She threatened to call the police on me as well. I was standing there in tears because I was in such disbelief. She was the most condescending , hateful person I have ever encountered like that. I have posted this vet's info on so many pages to bring business and I am still in shock with how I was treated. This woman , Rachel, then said "Have a blessed day" in such a hateful tone. I turned and said please do not use Christianity to make up for how you just treated me. She then replied "Honey, I am not Christian." She called me honey twice BTW to invoke some sort of superiority. I was SHOCKED that not one person working there allowed her to continue. There was a woman there with her poor sick dog that paid for my visit after hearing what happened. I did go back in and pay the $30 I could afford to that woman's account because she had already left so I do hope they credited her. As a 50 yo standing there in tears being verbally insulted, I will NEVER step foot back in there and I am SHOCKED that any vet would allow their employees to treat anyone, let alone customers like that. I will be contacting Consumer Protection for the first time in my life and filing a report.

The staff is awesome and they are fair with what they charge, no crazy unexpected charges, they are quick to take you back and answer all questions. They really care about our animals and it makes such a difference.

All three are absolutely phenomenal and very knowledgeable. They have helped us through three pups and our last little guy was a hand full the last three weeks of his life. They always got us in when it was an emergent visit where we needed to come right away, treated me like he was a human child showing so much love and compassion and loved on our little pup like he was their own. Doing every and anything they possibly could. Don't be deferred due to the building not being brand new, this place is filled with so much love and knowledge which is the most important aspects. Thank you for providing exceptional care to all three of our fur babies, you all have exceeded levels of expectation. We look forward to seeing you again when we add another puppy to our lives.
