Disappointing and Money-Driven I won't be returning to Keller Animal Clinic. I asked for a simple refill of prednisolone for my cat -- a prescription that had 2 refills left out of 3, 10 pills and clearly labeled "for asthma or allergy" and dated 3.5 months ago (March 5, 2025). They refused to send it to Kroger Pharmacy -- which is one-third the price -- and wanted me to bring her in for another exam, trying squeeze out more money. The original visit wasn't pleasant either. I brought my cat in because she was itchy and twitchy. The vet immediately insisted it was fleas, despite me explaining that none of my other cats were affected and I know what fleas look like. Turns out it was oak pollen, the vet did not consider it could be an allergy of something else. This felt like a cash grab to force another unnecessary exam. I've since found a much better, more honest vet at Parkside who actually listens and treats both pets and clients with respect. Do yourself and your animals a favor -- go elsewhere. read more

I brought my cat here after he stopped eating & drinking for a few days! We thought it was stress but then i got real concerned so i looked up a place that had same day appointments and best reviews. This was the place. After X Rays we found out he was constipated. They kept him a few hours to give him an enema & sent us home with meds. He's now back to eating, drinking & pooping almost normal! The staff was very understanding with our budget & very friendly to us. I think we found our new Vet. They won't mention that the medications they prescribe can be purchased through chewy with a prescription at a fraction of the cost. I've been going to this vet for a few years with the hopes that things would change but they have not. I've decided to move on to another vet. Please be very careful here they will charge you for everything under the sun. "Hey, your cat has an ear infection, we need blood work, ear cleaning, antibiotics, some other ear drops and more medications galore, that will cost you $675, this does not include the $70 visit fee. Oh and even though you are purchasing all these services the ear cleaning isn't free." Now I must say some of the office staff are very friendly at times agreeing about the ridiculous fees. Now I know everything cost money but man, I can go to an urgent care with no insurance for $250 get prescribed meds and get blood work for way under $350. They anitbiotics did not fix the issue and now they want us to come in again and spend the money for another appointment and more lab work to get another course of antibiotics. We had started at this veterinarian facility way back in 2011, but switched after the owner stepped back in seeing patients. But, coming in last week for an urgent need in ear infection assessment for our doggie: what an awesome experience! All new veterinarian doctors. We saw Dr. Walters this visit; and, I loved her approach, holistic knowledge and thorough communication. The assistant was also fabulous, wonderful touch with my doggy companion. He (dog) was also overall quite pleased once the exam and ear help begin. We are planning to make this our regular veterinarian care team. Super happy to be going back to the more convenient location for us as well. Win-win! When I consider health care, the care is the primary desire. This place is not, at appearance level, a modern day gem. Do not let that deceive you, for this place has care and duty down pat. The doctors are informative, so are the techs, the entire staff is professional, helpful, and patient. As a pet owner I own that managing the owner is part of the job and the grace and patience they have shown me over the last year as I have moved my 5 year old lab mix cross country, is heartwarming. Recently they responded to my complaint that I was having a difficult time keeping his wrapping dry when I take him outside by giving me a custom altered baggie with a thicker plastic and a custom tie that someone had obviously gone through the time and effort to make as a creative way to make my life, and my dogs, better. We love the Keller animal clinic. We have a pom that requires lots of extra care and attention and we could not be happier with the help and care we get from the clinic. From the staff answering the phone, to the techs that come in and greet our dog and assist the vet we have full faith that they care about our needs and the needs of our dog. I have been to this vet a handful of times now, and can honestly say I don't think they care about my pet's treatment or health. Other reviews say that this vet is just out for your money and I agree. I get charged for tests in one visit, that I wasn't charged for previously (even though it's the exact same treatment plan). The ladies at the front desk aren't rude but they aren't friendly. They've helped me with what I needed and any questions I've had, but they just look at you like they're judging you because you have questions. Why not ask my questions to the vet, you ask? I've been in twice recently, both to say goodbye to my dog and a regular check up for another. I saw Dr. Isheim both times, she is very kind and caring! It is never easy to let a pet go, but her and her wonderful tech (who's name is slipping my mind, my apologies!) and fellow doctor made the entire ordeal as easy as it can be. They care about both the animals and the owners greatly and equally, and it shows. They even sent a sympathy card with multiple hand written notes from the staff, which really demonstrated how much they care about their clients. The women working the front counter (again I've forgotten their names, I'm terrible with them, so sorry!) are both excellent as well .They understood I was in the middle of an awful day with my dog and helped eased the hurt, as well as being very kind on the phone and in person when seeing my other dog for a check up. I've been to multiple vets with many pets before, but the ladies of Keller Animal Clinic have officially won my business from here out. Although Covid prevents you from entering with your pet, I was made to feel comfortable and received a call from the Dr. very quickly. I highly recommend Keller Animal Clinic. Every staff member I have interacted with has been amazing. They are great with my dog and take the time to explain to me what is going on. They are empathetic to the worry the owner has when their pet is sick and are always up front about cost. I know when I leave my baby with them he will be safe and cared for. Have been using this vet clinic for the past 7 years, but no longer will due to the staff changes in the past 2 years. My latest 2 visits/dealings with them have been very unhelpful and worthless. I tried to fill a prescription for cat food (cat has been on since 2014), but now they won't fill it unless I bring the cat in for an office visit. My last appointment they failed to mention that no one was allowed in with the animal (even with a face mask). The visit consisted of a 2 minute conversation on the phone and 10 minutes in the clinic for 2 cats. They are strictly out for money and that's it. I have now switched to North Texas Vet Clinic and highly recommend they for their amazing customer service, so don't waste your time or money on this place. read more

I am a first time dog owner and adopted a dog. On investigating about the dog's vaccination, I found that even though I was told that he was up-to date on his shots, he was not and was overdue. The clinic accommodated me for an appointment when I expressed the urgency of getting my pup vaccinated. Also, Once I arrived the clinic staff not only helped to calm down my dog but the technician and the Dr. gave 45 mins of precious time to answer my questions and making sure that I understand everything. I was told they didn't charge for a office visit and then was charged $50 per pet for a in adequate "exam" that lasted maybe 2 min per dog. The lady whose name was Parker that spoke with me was very rude and not helpful. I repeated how much it would be over the phone as I just needed a nail trim and rabies and was told a specific price. I Love Dr. Rochell he shows compassion and concern when caring for your pets. He takes time with you and answers all your questions. Dr. Meyerdirk is just as good very knowledgable. Their office is always clean and they don't let you sit around in the waiting room forever. Unfortunately my sweet boy had to be put down but they were so amazing through the entire process. They made us feel like we had been patients his whole life. I am a doctor and if I ever treated my patients the way she treats dog parents, I would be out of business. She is harsh, cold, and condescending. Unfortunately, our dog was very sick and had to be transferred to another hospital. Her lack of concern ended with my puppy in the er for 3 days. Took another dog, thankfully just for shots, but with our conversation could tell she's want educated on the simple things. Our sweet puppy decided to swallow some wood chips today which caused her to almost die. She was gasping for air and could barely breath. We drove to the closest vet hoping they could assist.
