This place is magnificent! The farm store is perhaps the best in the state! They have so many things other than their delicious apples. They have beautiful artwork, baked goods, cookbooks, notecards, calendars, jewelry, and all sorts of gift items. The family that runs it is amazing, and it is a wonderful place to visit. Take a walk through the orchard and consider even having a picnic with the views of Sugarloaf and Bigelow mountains on the horizon. read more

In Maine visiting family and spending time at the lake. Stopped in to North Star and got a small container of Apple syrup. Tried it went back the very next day bought 10 more containers for coworkers back in Wisconsin and a huge container for myself. Great on anything it's like liquid Apple Pie. Fantastic on homemade Vanilla Ice Cream. So if you are ever in Somerset County Maine stop in you won't regret it. read more
