We wanted to express our sincere gratitude for the exceptional service Kobe Structural provided…read moreduring our Junior ADU project in Porter Ranch. The project involved a complex structural modification: connecting two rooms on separate floors via a spiral staircase, which required cutting a 5'x5' opening in the second-story floor. Because this opening was directly connected to a Juliet balcony outside from a 9'x 6' sliding glass door, we were concerned about preventing a collapse when cutting the joists. We are deeply impressed by the expertise, time, effort, and dedication that Kobe and his team devoted to this challenge. They opened up ceilings and walls, calculated loads, worked tirelessly to replace the necessary supporting joists and secure the Juliet balcony. Furthermore, they followed through diligently with the LADBS to ensure our plans were approved. Throughout the entire journey, Kobe team was knowledgeable, honest, and attentive. We are extremely thrilled with the results and grateful for their expertise.

ESV did a fantastic job renovating our garage into an ADU. We did our research, got several quotes…read morefrom contractors, and Ari ended up being the most responsive and professional. Plus, his quote was comprehensive and competitive. A few things I really appreciated: (1) Ari was in contact throughout the process. He kept everything on schedule. Even with some unforeseeable issues that needed to be addressed mid-project, the work was still completed on-time. He was able to provide recommendations (e.g., fixtures, appliances, tiles) when we asked for them, and he made helpful suggestions for additional improvements without being pushy. (2) His crew was great. Roberto and company knew their stuff. From framing to plumbing, electrical to cabinet & fixture installation (we had a lot of work done!), they did a top-notch job. And they were very friendly to have around. Ultimately, construction projects (even 250 sq ft ADUs) take a lot of time and investment, so it's important to have a team that you can trust to do quality work. And that's what we got with ESV. I'm glad we went with them, and I love our beautiful new space.

Deservedly so. Ray and Leslie are a gem. Their team, including Michael Song and Pilar Mutec, were a pleasure to work with. I am fairly detail oriented and Pilar was so easy to work with through my multiple design changes. She showed me multiple renderings and made changes as requested on the renderings, with Mike amending the plans as needed. All the while guiding me along the way. I was minutes away from getting a variance from the DWP to allow my ADU to come within the set back from the power poles when the Palisades' fire started. The EZ Plan's team fully cooperated when the DWP said no, and redrew my plans from scratch. They helped me qualify the contractors and walked me through the differences in the bids. Whenever I had a question during the construction process, they were there to help and guide me along the way. A BIG thank you to the EZ Plans team for making their part of the construction process as easy as it could have possibly been.

I found out about Evolve from Angie's List. I contacted them and spoke with Asaf (or Asaph--he…read morespells it both ways). He was very cordial over the phone and we set a day to meet to get a quote for a master bathroom remodel. I ended up using Evolve after meeting with Asaf. One of the things that sold me was his guarantee that there were no hidden costs in his quote. He made a list of things I needed to pay for and told me that his team would cover everything else. Look--nothing is ever perfect, especially when it comes to home repair/remodeling. That said, whatever issues I had (and there was nothing remotely major), Asaf handled immediately. I've never had a contractor or company rep respond almost immediately to text messages or phone calls. The work itself was great. Again, any minor thing I pointed out was fixed promptly. The craftsmanship of the tiling is pretty awesome, in particular. Craftsmanship is one thing. Service, communication, and honesty are something else entirely. I put a lot of trust in Asaf and while he wasn't the guy doing the work itself, he knew the game plan and was always more than happy to help with any of my questions or concerns. I just signed the "completion certificate" for my bathroom project and wrote a check for my final payment. As promised, there were no hidden or extra costs. I'll continue to recommend Evolve to friends and coworkers, and will get a bid from them again when I move on to my kitchen remodel. In the meantime, I'll be enjoying my new bathroom. I would be very surprised if anyone has a negative experience with Evolve that Asaf wouldn't be able to fix. I recommend them highly.

We hired Ron to do the architectural plans for the remodel of a fourplex. He came in with a fancy camera scanner to measure everything, a very efficient process. He was very much on time with the delivery of the initial draft. We discussed minor changes and submitted to the city, and they had just had a few minor corrections before approval, which is better than other architectural teams I have worked with. After we began work on the project, we discovered a beam in the ceiling was not pointing in the right direction, leading to the need for a revision to the plans. The engineer Margarito went on site and approved changes, which allowed us to quickly adapt.
