Kobe, Daniel, and the rest of the team are INCREDIBLE. By FAR the best service I have received from any industry. When I first contacted Kobe, he saw that my contractor left me in a serious jam, leaving my house extremely vulnerable and in a penalized state with the city. He quickly went out of his way on several occasions to make sure that I was in good shape with both the safety of my home, as well as with the permitting with the city. Cannot say enough good things about Kobe. I will 100% be reaching out to them for all future builds. read more

We were very happy with Kobe and his crew. Kobe, is easy to work with. He was attentive to our questions and requests. We had a wall that needed a full evaluation from a structural engineering perspective. Kobe thoroughly reviewed the subject wall, and provided a full report to address all issues we brought up to him. He is also very knowledgeable regarding general construction which was very useful as well. We felt comfortable with his expertise and did not feel that further investigation was needed. Kobe and his crew are very professional, responsive, and attentive to their clients' needs. We are grateful for their job well done, and for calming our nerves to assure that everything was fine. Would certainly recommend them to family and friends. Thank you for job well done. read more

Wow. I feel like today is my lucky day. We are dealing with some disturbing issues at our home in San Diego county. I called and messaged a few places but Kobe was the first company to write/call me back. He messaged me himself and scheduled an appointment to personally come to our home (a very far drive as I did not realize his office was so far away) the next business day. He was kind, professional, communicative and just went way beyond what any other company remotely offered. He treated the walk through like it was his own home and made suggestions for the near and far future while providing me education about all of it. I felt respected, cared for and informed. I cannot thank Kobe and his team enough for the wrap around care we received. You will be in amazing hands with Kobe. Years of experience and the extra care you are looking for when it comes to who to trust with one of your biggest investments -your home and your resources. read more

We are from the central coast area and after weeks (at least 5) of no call backs from engineers here in SLO county (at least 15 were contacted) we decided to look elsewhere and boy ARE WE HAPPY that we did. Kobe returned our call personally on a Friday evening and spent over an hour with us on the phone. His quoted price and timeframe was right on the money. The engineering that he did for us is soooooo superior to what was expected that we again are thankful that the local people here failed miserably to do business with us. We will tell EVERYONE local and far that the ONLY engineering team they need is Kobe Structural Engineering. We give a huge shoutout also to Daniel and Goldie, and of course Kobe, for everything. Y'all are THE. BEST. EVER. Chris and Annemarie R. read more

While Kobe has never done any work for me, based on my interactions with him, I absolutely would not hesitate to reach out to him should my needs ever coincide with the services he and his company provide. I'm in escrow on a home that has foundation problems and I contacted Kobe on Yelp to do a foundation and structural inspection. As he only does new construction, he instead made a very helpful referral to me for someone who he informed me was "brilliant" and whose prices were very reasonable. Given how much money I've already spent on inspections, that was music to my ears. You don't find brilliant and affordable too often in an inspector! Kobe took time to answer all my questions in the process of his referral. Mind you, I was not even positive that a structural engineer was what I needed for the inspection. Another engineer I had contacted at the same time as Kobe warned me that I needed a soil or geo-engineer. Kobe then asked detailed questions about the actual condition of the foundation and concluded that I should indeed start with an inspection from a structural engineer. Kobe was super patient, helpful, and responsive even though he knew that we wouldn't be doing any business together. He is the consummate professional and it's plain to see why he has such stellar reviews. Thank you, Kobe! read more

I was desperate for answers on my project questions and felt cheated by my current structural engineer when I was finally connected with Kobe through a referral. He came over late one afternoon to my project and literally stayed with me for over an hour talking through my options with him. After putting together a rudimentary set of plans, Kobe and his team took the time to sit down with me on Friday afternoon to go through them with me and make sure they were ready to submit to the city. Kobe is extremely professional, honest, reliable, and extremely experienced. He is the only one I will go to for my structural engineering needs! read more

I reached out to Kobe Structural Engineering to discuss some issues around zoning and permitting that multiple contractors and architects weren't able to give me straightforward answers to. Kobe called me promptly after reaching out via Yelp and took the time to walk me through answers to not only the permitting and zoning issues I was trying to understand, but also other questions that I had developed during the remodel process. When I asked to compensate him for his time at the end he refused and let me know that if I had any more questions I should reach back out. To the extent we end up moving forward with the project and need a structural engineer, I will absolutely reach out and use Kobe. read more

I've known Kobe for over 6 years and can honestly say that I have always and consistently received the same excellent and professional service. Kobe and his workers are very a personal, they treat each structural engineering project as if it was their own. It's a big plus but only one off of the many things I like about using Kobe's firm for my structural engineering needs. To name a few more is their willingness to assist solving problems and provide a lot of good solutions for common and uncommon issues builders front every single day at their job sites. Not many firms are willing to go the extra mile for you but Kobe's do and that's a huge plus.
