Very nice park with plenty of fields AND more open fields for pre-game practices. The park itself was very green and filled with gorgeous well-grown tall trees. Right in the middle of the fields there were at least two porta-potties, but if you were too fancy for porta-potties, they also had an actual legit restroom. Yasss. And after walking in the park you got hungry, there was a food truck selling burgers and fries. And they had a massage truck (what?).... for if you got tired after walking around the park, I guess...?

North SeaTac Park Features Baseball, Soccer and Softball Fields Open Area Restrooms Playground Equipment Picnic Shelter Outdoor Basketball Paved Walking Trails Disk Golf Course Community Center I love going to play a round of disc golf here, the course is one of the longer ones in Seattle, with holes over 500 ft. long! The disc golf course starts off of 136th Ave. S. and the park office. maps of the course are online at http://www.leftcoastdiscgolf.com/index.php?option=com_zoom&Itemid=42&page=view&catid=163&key=0&hit=1

This park is a lot nicer than I thought. Probably the nicest field around burien and I've been noticing that they have signs up for live music in the summer time. I've always been skeptical of hanging out in the outdoors of burien for safety reasons LOL. I came here for softball for the first time and it took me by surprise. I think i might actually check out the music events one of these days! #winninginburien

The stairs are well maintained, cross back and forth with a few landings to rest or let people pass. At the base of the stairs, it turns into its former self, old broken down cement/wood steps that reach the beach. There's a sign warning you, so it's quite obvious. There's also a bench in the middle of the staircase for those who get winded easily. I recall there's a little over 100 stairs. It's quite easy for beginners, children and pets. The park faces the west and has a peak-a-boo view of the sunset at one of the landings. When you're done, walk up the trail and look for a clear area and benches. If you are lucky, you may see the eagles soaring above the trees next to their nests. Parking: very few spots, like 4 or 5, so get prepared to park out in the residential area and walk a little.

The first 10 minutes or so of the hike is dirt trail. Then you get to the stairs, walk down and you'll find that there's not much at the bottom. Just a small beach covered in broken logs and plants that jut out towards the water. There is a small clearing beyond the stairs which offers somewhat of a view looking out at the sound. then when you look behind, towards the hill, you'll notice some idiot who posted a wooden sign that says "private property" seriously!? there's nothing private about it, not to mention there's nothing there. people can be so greedy sometimes... Anyways, this is a cool spot to come to if you want to do some laps up and down the stairs. Though it's not much of a date spot if you want to bring your significant other. Try some other parks in that case.

Chelsea Park was my neighborhood park growing up. It's a nice neighborhood park tucked away just off Ambaum and 136th. The park is basically divided into two sections, the playground area which is on top of a little hill and the field, which is down below. The playground area was renovated within the last 10-15 years and has a nice playground and walkway area up above. I don't know if it's due to the location, off Ambaum and 136th/near the (formerly called Seahurst Village Apartments) or what, but I don't see too many kids there playing. The field down below has a small baseball/softball field that is well-kept because it's used for little league baseball/softball and Kennedy Catholics softball team as well. The field isn't by enough for high schoolers (90 ft base paths and 60 ft mound), nor can it accommodate power hitters (due to houses relatively close down the right field line and a moderately short left field. Basically, If you're looking to play baseball you're better off going to Sunset Fields or Moshier Fields - you'll have more real estate there. The open field/grassy area is though good for pickup games of football, soccer, ultimate frisbee, etc. as well as catch and just general running. Often, at night - just before sunset ("after work") you may often find members of Burien's Hispanic community playing recreational soccer there - so if you're someone who had the itch to play, and doesn't play organized soccer or can't find people to play with, then it may be worth dropping by one night to see if people are playing. All-in-all, Chelsea Park is a fairly nice neighborhood park in the Burien-area that provides a variety of different opportunities for playtime and/or rec-athletics
