They came by to let us know what the issue was, then, after we had the flooring ripped up after a leak detection company marked off where it was, they came with the jackhammer and tore up our cement. Unfortunately, the leak wasn't where detection had marked it. I'm grateful Stephen was find enough to come in on what was supposed to be his day off the next day to continue after we took up the rest of the wood overnight. They did a great job at locating the leak, fixing it, explaining what might have happened to cause it, filling the hole back up and covering it with cement. Moved into home a few months ago and after trying to install a chandelier that would not power on, I found Ken on Yelp and had him come out to inspect the issue. Ken diagnosed the problem as the power box to the chandelier not being wired to the rest of the house. He connected the box to rest of the house installed a new light switch. While there, I also had him inspect my mislabeled fuse box and reassure me that the missing GFCI outlets in the bathrooms are indeed protected by GFCI. I also had Ken try and repair two hard wired outdoor flood lights and replace an additional one. He was able to fix one and determined one wasn't salvageable. he recommended which flood lights I needed to get and came back a few days later and installed them. These additional items were not on the list of things I originally told him I needed addressed. Even though he had another customer after me, he ended up addressing all of my issues, which took up most of the day. He told me all his customers know he has a policy of addressing all the issues of the customer he is at the home of before leaving.

I had a list of items for estimate and, in order to find out the cost for each item, he had to remove all others to be able to tell me. Also, they will email a link to the estimate (not an attachment) and the link will expire in 7 days. It seems to me they are strategies to make it more difficult to compare quotes. I wanted 4 can lights and was told that I'd need a new electric panel for that to happen. I was quoted around $5,200 for a new electric panel (after having to ask specifically for the cost of this item). I mentioned that I put a panel in 3 years ago for a similar sized home and it was $2,500ish. I just got another quote for this home. It was $2,700 and I was also told I didn't need a new panel to add the 4 can lights.
