I immediately cleaned out what should've been clean boxes and opened the windows-this was in March so still a bit chilly. However we crack our windows upstairs, all the time to help circulate fresh air in. It took a far to get back to normal. Then water got all over my mail, destroying a magazine. It wasn't dried off, they kept piling up the mail on top, leaving the magazine to stick to the table and other damp pieces. Not impressed, definitely not the Pet Nanny I had come to rely on.

If your dog is stressed in groups with other dogs this place is not for you. They have both indoor & outdoor play areas. The facility is clean, biodegradable & pet safe cleaning supplies are used. They're easy to work with & respond quickly to emails & answering questions. Their website has lots of info with reasonable rates & packages. The staff is wonderful & caring. They've accommodated my special requests, like boarding my two dogs together but feeding them separately.On my last vacation they even called to let me know one of my dogs was having digestive issues & could they give her a little pumpkin. What awesome customer service. They also have special drop off & pickup times on Sundays, even tho they're closed. Plus you can watch your pet on Web Cams. We were able to go into a private room that had been set up to feel more like a room in your home, it didn't feel medical. There was a couch, carpet and tables. It felt like they went above and beyond to make us as comfortable as possible, which we really appreciated. Afterwards, they let us stay in there as long as we need to. A week or so later we received a card from the entire staff and a clay footprint from our dog. They really do care about you and it shows.

I have been a pet owner for many, many years. I stopped taking my middle cat in because the costs with making a visit were just prohibitive. But now with three cats and a stable living environment I decided it was time to take the kids in for a check-up. I had seen street signs for North Metro Animal Hospital for months, as we live in the neighborhood (NW Denver - Sunnyside Neighborhood). I had visited their web site to ascertain whether or not this visit was going to break my wallet, but I couldn't find anything that referenced their prices online, so I called. The lady who answered the phone was the daughter of the vet who owns the hospital. She was very easy to talk to and was very encouraging about bringing the cats in - all at once. My husband and I got up early Saturday morning to take the youngins to get their shots. When we drove up to the hospital, I was not impressed. The building was surrounded by a barbed-wire fence and resembles the other warehouse buildings in the area. Upon entering the establishment, I was even less impressed at what I saw - the place was a little dilapidated, and my first instinct was to turn around and leave. But we followed through with seeing the vet. One by one, the vet examined the cats, gave them their respective shots and then placed them back into their kennels. That was it. No one tried to sell me a special type of diet food, or told me the perils of not having this done or that done. He gave the kids a clean bill of health, some pointers on how to get our youngest to lose some weight, and then sent us on our way. Further when we paid for our visit, they only charged us for the shot series. There was no office visit fee, or any other "hidden charges". With other vets I have been to before, I have been charged with an "entering the door" fee, a fee for sitting on the couch to wait for the vet, and a fee for just about anything you can think of. (Yes, I exaggerate) So, I gave a 5 star rating because they did what I went there to have done: they gave my cats shots and an exam. Nothing more and nothing less. They are a very no-nonsense clinic for animals. These other places are clinics for people who gauge their love for their pets by how much money they spend on them, and boy do they prey on folks! If you want basic service, Dr Ed Garcia is the best person to see.

The staff cares for our animals as if they are part of their family. When I've called to make appointment and schedule boarding, I've not been identified by my name or identifying info but as cookie the little rat terrier's dad. The staff is able and willing to take special care of animals with special needs. My parents dog was neurotic with a special diet and needed personal attention. The staff was willing to treat her different than the other animals and keep her calm and comfortable. The prices are very fair and reasonable, Dr. Garcia is an expert in his field, It is staffed 24x7 and the service the staff provides is top notch. Word.

We started coming in April of 2023 when we needed a last minute place to board her for Easter weekend. What drew us to Zen Doggy Den is that we didn't have to pay extra for outdoor time which was a plus for boarding. We've boarded her a few times since then. But mostly for doggy daycare now. It's nice when there's something going on at the house like construction or anything like that. We can drop her off in the morning and then pick her up. She really enjoys her time there and seems like a happy pup. She's a senior dog so I think she just loves getting out of the house and getting to interact with others. Definitely recommend this place for dog boarding and doggy daycare. Thank you for always taking such good care of our Lilly girl.

It was easy to sign up online at the last minute and have our Zoe stay a few hours while we were at our granddaughter's graduation at the Colorado School of Mines.
