There's a lot of construction going on and a trailer that hauls in equipment parked at the empty site next to us when there is a whole row of empty rv sites. Our grill looks like it's been through WW2. And has no propane in it. People take their big dogs to the dog park and don't clean up after them. On the plus side the pool is nice. Most of the rv sites are big rig friendly. The town of Jensen Beach is quaint and within walking distance. I'm not entirely sure if I would recommend this place. They charge 3,400.00 a month for a rv site! At this price I would expect a lot more than what is offered. Like walking distance to the beach!

The pool area is updated and they have a new hot tub that's very nice. It probably fits about 6 people comfortably and was. never that busy when we were there. I appreciated the shade of the tiki hut and we had our pick of chairs in the sun too. We participated in water aerobics at the pool twice during our stay and had a blast! The fitness center is really nice - a bit crowded, but they have dumbbells, bikes, treadmills, and weight machines. We worked out there a bit and appreciated that it was never too crowded. The resort has many amenities, including the updated clubhouse, kitchen, pickleball courts, and a small library. The resort is mostly older couples and everyone is pretty friendly and welcoming. The resort is pristinely clean with everyone taking care of their dogs and no trash left anywhere. The clubhouse is the main gathering area for nightly activities like bingo, Left Right Center, poker, dances, dinners, and other fun events. We played Left Right Center and bingo this time - we didn't win but it was fun to hang out and join some activities. They also have parties sponsored by big RV companies, pet parades and events for holidays, and more. The community seems very tight knit. Pelican Lake is a 20 minute drive to Marco Island and 30 minutes to Naples, depending on traffic. 45 minutes from the airport, it's an easy place to get to during the winter when I need a break from snow!

You'll notice the landscape all around the resort is beautiful and mature. Makes it an extra pleasure when at the pool. Really adds a lot to the whole resort. The one thing I will caution you against is, the air boats run daily directly in front and it's very loud all day, every day. I do wish they would've mentioned that to us, although in a way, I'm glad they didn't, because I'm afraid we would not have come. We are glad to be here. I am not cautioning you against coming, I am just letting you know. I do think it's very nice to be here. The people here are cordial. But you can definitely tell the owners from the members. We bumped into and spoke with the owners of the resort here and they were friendly, seemed like good people. There are a couple of things to do here, but not much overall. There is a beautiful boat tour, airboat rides, and a few restaurants. You definitely want to do your grocery shopping before you get here. They do have a grocery store, but with very limited items. Naples is within an hour and Marco Island is within 45 minutes.

You can set up camp, ride mountain bike and Equestrian trails or hiking in CRP. For mountain bike and equestrian trails, go to Parking Lot #3 known as North Park Entrance. For hiking, go to Parking lot #2 or Main Park Entrance. For camping go to Parking Lot #1 or Campground Entrance! You must register for camping and have a campsite assigned to you or your group! BBQ pits and benches are available. There is a lodge with a kitchen and ice machine that can accommodate up to 80-100 participants. Before you go to CRP, make sure you call and plan out your activity ahead. Some trials may not be available in the raining season. Check your mountain bike to ensure they are in excellent working condition as there is an advanced or more difficult biking trials. No dogs or alcohol are allowed in the park! Caloosahatchee Regional Park is a hidden gem in Lee County! Bring plenty of water and enjoy the nature, hiking or camping!
