Dr. Jane Miller has been my gynecologist for almost 30 years. She is more than a doctor, she is a healer. Dr. Miller diagnosed my Graves' disease, just by looking at my hands. A few years back, I had to have a biopsy done. I was told by many people that it was very painful. Dr. Miller performed the procedure painlessly. Her office is warm and welcoming, just like she is. Dr. Jane Miller took a comprehensive assessment of my 25 year old daughter's health and quickly determined that her blood test results showed extremely low ovarian function and the prospect of not being able to have children. Dr. Miller showed incredible compassion and helped her through a successful egg retrieval! The careful, caring way that Dr. Miller treated my daughter was something that will never be forgotten and thank to her I look forward to having grandchildren one day! Dr. Miller was outstanding in trying to get me and my husband pregnant. We did two IUI cycles with her, both unsuccessful (to no fault of hers), and she was extremely helpful, informative, and professional every step of the way. We did switch doctors after that, however, due to a very problematic situation with our bill due to much negligence on the part of Dr. Miller's Medical Biller, Annette, in the office. I will spare the nitty-gritty details, but in short, the Medical Biller made a recommendation to us (based on her "knowledge and expertise") in regard to the insurance coverage we had, in order to keep our out-of-pocket costs down. However, she then let 4 months pass by without ever double-checking or following up on the way the billing was done through our company, thus, allowing our bill to accumulate must faster than it should have. Basically, if we did the exact opposite of her original recommendation, we would have saved about half of what we ended up paying out-of-pocket for our treatments (we paid about $5,000 in the end, as opposed to paying approximately $2,500 had she given us the correct information OR thoroughly reviewed our bill during those 4 months). In the end, her claim (and Dr. Miller's claim - which we were disappointed in) was that "they are not responsible for how the insurance company pays the claims," which is true. We wholeheartedly agree that the Medical Biller cannot control the insurance company's actions. However, if there was any type of review of our accumulating bill by the Medical Biller during those 4 months, she could have changed her recommendation and suggested that we amend our insurance situation in order to save a tremendous amount of money. Annette's negligence is the sole reason that my husband and I had DOUBLE the amount of out-of-pocket expenses than we should have. Although we thoroughly proved this argument to Dr. Miller, she was ultimately unwilling to work with us on the balance, and we paid it. That is my only gripe about this practice. Dr. Miller's medical work is excellent, but I would not recommend her for treatment based solely on the poor performance and lack of diligence of her Medical Biller. We ended up paying thousands of dollars more than we should have! We are not rich people, so it was a very unfortunate situation! read more
