Whoever said bed side manner is a thing of the past has obviously not been to Dr. Cindy Parnes. She's pleasant, thorough, and calls back! Her staff is sweet, professional and her office does not have that assembly line feel that has become quite commonplace. Dr. Parnes really cares and takes her time with you to discuss everything. Being proactive about how we care for ourselves and our health related issues is an essential component to our total well being. The doctors we choose can help make the transitions through this journey uncomplicated and positive. I would be doing a disservice to myself and to others if I didn't share my opinion about the excellent care and experience I have received from Dr. Cindy Parnes and her entire staff. As a relatively new patient, Dr. Parnes kindly accepted me where several other doctors rejected me as a new patient. Having concerns regarding menopause and feeling too young to accept these changes, Dr. Parnes kindly and professionally addressed my concerns and came up with an effective game plan changing the course of my unhappy situation into one that continues change for the better. We are all unique and different and Dr. Parnes certainly evaluates her patients with that in mind. Her strong confidence, knowledge, and kindness leaves me feeling like I received the latest in medical trends and feeling secure that I am in good hands and the recipient of excellent care. In addition, Dr. Parnes has referred me to Dr. Nirman Tulsyan, a board-certified vascular surgeon. Along with age, menopause, teaching for 31 years, and working out with heavy weights, ugly spider veins became another concern that I didn't want to live with. Dr. Parnes was so enthusiastic to inform me that I did not have to and that insurance would most likely cover the procedure after an ultrasound was preformed. After meeting Dr. Tulsyan who traveled to the Montvale, NJ office to discuss my vein situation I eagerly signed up for the procedure continuing my quest for excellence and striving for total well being. Dr. Tulsyan's calming nature creates an excellent environment for those of us who can be a little apprehensive with the unknown. His excellent listening skills and approachable personality as well as his excellent team performed this procedure on me four times and each time I was confident knowing I was safe and well taken care of. I feel blessed to have had the opportunity to be treated by these exceptional doctors. read more

Dr Parnes is the best OBYN in NJ, no questions asked. The wellness center is clean, the staff is friendly, and the location is great, but it is Dr. Parnes herself that makes it such a trust worthy office. After a horrible experience with another doctor, a family friend recommended this office about five years ago. I went for a yearly and just LOVED her. They don't take my insurance, but I won't go to anyone else. I have been paying out of pocket for five years now and it is worth every penny in exchange for her bedside manner. She is the kind of doctor you'd want your mother, daughter, or friend to go, because you know they'll be comfortable and in good hands. Love Dr. Parnes!! 10/10 read more

My first visit to Dr. Parnes went alright, she seemed a little condescending but I just took that as her having a bad day and let it go. On my second visit to Dr. Parnes, I was telling her my symptoms and what I thought I had based on those symptoms. She would not listen to me and kept insisting I had a UTI. She prescribed me medication to treat this UTI she insisted I had. A few days later her nurse called me because my test results had come back and confirmed that I had what I initially thought I had. She had misdiagnosed me. I discontinued the antibiotic and was put on another medication. My third visit to Dr. Parnes was horrendous. At the very beginning of the appointment, she asked me if I've had any unusual symptoms, which I did. In the middle of me telling her my symptoms, she stopped me and yelled at me because I did not detail these symptoms to the front desk receptionist and therefore had to waste her time providing another fluid sample for testing. I did not feel comfortable disclosing my symptoms to the front desk receptionist with a room full of people behind me waiting for their own appointment. I didn't voice this to Dr. Parnes as I was just so taken aback that she would raise her voice at me like this, and at that point I did not continue telling her the rest of my symptoms. I felt very uncomfortable going through the rest of the examination but I did I provide a second sample before leaving. I've never been treated like this by a doctor before. I felt angry and belittled that I had been suffering with symptoms that I couldn't explain and was yelled at for voicing them at the wrong time, which inconvienced her. In addition, I could tell every time I came in that Dr. Parnes was speeding through our appointments and not taking the necessary time to make me feel comfortable or listen to my concerns. It takes time and trust on my part to describe something so personal that is affecting my daily life, and patience on her part to listen and advise me correctly. I believe a high level of sensitivity is required by a doctor, and especially by a gynecologist. Dr. Parnes lacks these characteristics. I should say that Dr. Parnes' nursing and office staff has always been kind and respectful towards me, but I DO NOT recommend Dr. Cindy Parnes to any woman seeking a gynecologist. read more

Dr. Parnes is simply the best of the best! She is thorough, caring and really takes time to listen to your concerns and answers all questions in detail. The office staff is also amazing! Just today I had a medical issue that needed immediate attention, called the office and was told come right over, even though I was a last minute appt, I literally waited 5 minutes to be seen! Awful, shocking to see the high reviews. Initially she was pleasant although inattentive and callback about my abnormal pap results only came after my primary care physician requested a copy. The pattern was repeated with subsequent visits. If you have concerns, lucky if she will dismiss them, she can be outright attacking you or making you feel like it's in your head. I could not get a copy of my labwork because it was misplaced. She does like to dabble in other medical issues if you have them and has strong opinions (negative) about other MDs. Very sad that doctors of such poor quality are able to buy themselves high ratings and have negative ratings removed. Her staff and reception has always been nice. read more

II have been a patient of Dr. Parnes for seven years after trying two other GYNs in the area. Dr. Parnes is very professional, knowledgeable and compassionate with her patients and always seems to have time to discuss concerns. She never seems rushed and creates a comfortable environment where all questions can be asked without embarrassment. She is up-to-date on the latest research and offers seminars on women's health topics. The office staff is friendly and professional too. I have been going to Dr. Parnes for many years and was thrilled when she opened NJ Women's Wellness Center which was closer to my home...(although I would travel anywhere to continue being a patient of hers.) She is not only a brilliant doctor, but incredibly compassionate. I remember years ago, I had a medical scare, and she was the voice of reason....her calm, smart approach got me through it. I highly recommend her not because she is a competent doctor, but because it is evident that she is passionate about what she does and how she treats her patients, making certain that they are informed. read more
