As a young lady walked by our table, I asked for the hot stuff. She quickly returned with a generous bowl and a warning about its effectiveness. My wife chimed in with "don't worry, he can handle it." The friendly young lady was Christina the owner. I talked with her before we left the restaurant. I was curious about the restaurant's history. It used to be out on Highway 51 towards Coweta, then several years ago, they relocated to Tiger Plaza on Kenosha. Her and her husband bought the restaurant recently. She explained that even though they retained the name and menu they are in no way related to the other Los Mariachis Mexican Restaurant operating in Jenks. She emphasized that. The restaurant has a burrito they call the Burrito El Bravo. It is filled with grilled beef, homemade chorizo, refried beans, shredded cheese, and pico de gallo. The pico de gallo was made with fresh chopped jalapenos, lots of jalapenos. The overstuffed burrito was then covered with queso. Fresh cut crunchy potato chips came with the meal. The house made zesty chorizo stood out to make the burrito the most flavorful, spicy, meat filled tortilla I have had. A stimulating savory combination, but not so hot that it was difficult to eat. It didn't need any additional salsa though. You want some delicious meaty, spicy Mexican food, order this burrito! My wife had the "Build Your Own Lunch." Her selection was a ground beef taco and enchilada. The enchilada was covered with green sauce, beans and rice on the side. She enjoyed great meal. Good food and friendly service from Christina and her staff. Drop by and eat a burrito! The heartburn is worth it!

The place looks great, and one thing I always used to complain about was how hot it would get inside. This visit, the AC was pumping, and I really appreciated being able to enjoy my meal without feeling miserable. Eating while I'm hot just isn't my thing! You also can't complain about free queso, and whatever they've changed with the recipe is definitely for the better. The queso was even better than I remembered, and the salsa was delicious as always. I don't even have a picture of my food because I ate it so quickly! I ordered the beef chimichanga, and it was absolutely delicious. The rice and beans were great too. I also had a strawberry margarita, which was fantastic, and a piña colada that now comes served in the cutest little coconut. It was super creamy, and I love a good creamy piña colada. Overall, it was so nice coming back to one of my old favorites and seeing all the upgrades. Great food, refreshing drinks, and an even better atmosphere. I'll definitely be back whenever I'm visiting Tulsa!

But none of the extenuating circumstances were their fault. it's what you do with the situation. They handled it with total aplomb. Thus 3*. We were immediately seated. The three of us ordered chicken fajitas, tamale appetizer and Yucatán Tacos. I failed to take photos so please bear with my descriptions. Hubby loves his fajitas. Especially Los Cabos. This order disappointed. They didn't look quite right to me. My tamale appetizerr was a complete failure. Totally charred, for a better word. The two of them looked like beef fingers about the size of my middle finger with masa tucked around each like a little bed. Cheese burned to plate. "As of April 2026, Los Cabos Mexican Grill in the Tulsa area offers a Handmade Spicy Beef Tamales appetizer, featuring two shredded beef tamales in spicy masa topped with chili con carne or queso, often served with sour cream." If it's sour cream you know it's gonna be a little drizzle. I asked for more queso & got about 1 1/2 tablespoons. I Ended up asking for the plate that accompanies fajitas. The dish, burnt, just needed "stuff". You can add rice/beans if you wish. Either make/serve appropriately or not at all. I love tamales. Buy some originals at Reasors, add queso & pico on a bed of rice w/ cilantro and there's a tasty meal (steam the tamales). Our friend who ordered Yucattan tacos at last minute over ceviche, was appalled. The beef was so fatty she couldn't eat It. No cilantro. For $16 that's pretty bad. BUT, returning to the top. The staff was pleasant in midst of this complete mess and responded/delivered to our every request and there were many. We'll be back on a better day so Hubby can get his fajitas fix. Throw in some shrimp and I'll be happy too.

Add "everything ," which means salsa, cilantro, onions, etc. to get the full flavor. The chunks of meat in the steak tacos are chopped more finely than at some other places, which gets them a higher score. It's easier to eat and not so chewy. The family running the restaurant has always been warm and friendly, and I've been eating here for many years. Be patient as a long line can appear suddenly. You'll be rewarded in the end with a delicious plate of food though, and they have 6-8 flavors of aquas frescas, which have become a new favorite thing for me. Definitely not your typical Mexican joint playing music with a joyful atmosphere.

First off, the chip are good, but they could use a little salt right out of the fryer. They serve their salsa in a little decanter and they include little sides of pepper jack queso. The salsa has a little bite, but great flavor. We had the tacos de carnitas on our first visit. They were delicious. They were simple, soft corn tortillas, plentiful meat with chopped onions and cilantro in a side container. I added a little queso and salsa and they were bomb. The unexpected surprise was their rice and beans. The refried beans were very flavorful and I'm not one to eat the rice at Mexican restaurants because a lot of times the rice is not fulling cooked and/or bland. The rice here is perfect and I love it. It's fluffy, flavorful, and excellent when covered in queso. Our next visit, my wife got the same entree, but I got the chili rellenos with shredded chicken. First off, the peppers were large and tasty. They had a little bite, but they did have way too many seeds. They really needed to be de-seeded before cooking. The shredded chicken was surprisingly well seasoned and very good. I'm not sure I'd get them again with that many seeds. We also had their guacamole and it was slightly above average. We are definitely making this place a regular go to when we desire great Mexican cuisine. You won't be disappointed coming here.
