As the new home of the 14u Jacksonville Crusaders, this is one of the finest facilities I've seen. The fields are immaculate. The batting cages are lighted and in great condition. The concessions is clean and well stocked. Large, clean bathrooms are easily accessible. The park volunteers and grounds crew are top notch. I can't say enough great things about this park and am so happy that this is where my sons's team will be practicing and playing this season.

Tgere are opportunities for advanced play and all-stars even for the younger kids. A full snack bar and just a great group of people who make all the time spent at the park fun. There are a couple of coaches who care more about their team winning and building a 'stacked' team but that is not the norm and perhaps unavoidable in the sports world.

The tennis courts and the baseball fields are in great shape while the basketball court is decent but can use fresh lines. The kids playground is pretty small, it's been updated in the last 2-3 years but it's still an afterthought compared to rest of the park. LOL The tennis courts, basketball court & most of the baseball fields have lights so can actually play until 930-10PM, later if you get permission to turn the lights off yourself. There's ample parking as long as it's not baseball league weekend. Those days gets ridiculous!

Willowbranch Park is bordered by Willow Branch Avenue, Sydney Street, Cherry Street, and Park Street. At one end is the Willowbranch Library and on the same side, at the other end, are baseball and soccer fields. The other half of the park are paths and gently wooded areas to stroll and benches to sit on. This is not a dog park, so dogs need to be leashed at all times (city ordinance). Parking is located on the outskirts of the park. Please only use the library parking lot when the library is closed. Also, when parking across from the park, be careful of driveways and do not block.

However, I am sure it serves the residents of this town well and that countless memories have been made playing baseball on these fields or in the basketball court I noticed in the front. There is not a lot of parking here and it is really not a parking lot as much as in Open Fields. I did notice that one of the ball fields that they did have a concession stand.. If you are looking for a park to enjoy nature, I would strongly suggest looking elsewhere. However, if you are looking for a place to play baseball, here is the place.

A couple of things that have slacked over the years are the animal rights at the park. There's a sign for the leash, but there's no bags for poop... not a lot of land or field area left over for guests or animals when the sports are happening, so bringing a pet becomes more of a hassle for everyone, rather than a good time for you, your pet, and everyone at the park. The kids playground was remodeled and I honestly can't tell how kids play on this. this park used to be something to look forward to and now it's more like you're worried for the safety of yourself and others more than anything. There's nothing to really do on this playground, the swings were taken away, and the slides just got smaller...
