Great! 2) You have to use your cell phone connected to YouTube to select karaoke songs and there were no electrical outlets in the room. So we had to rotate cellphones based on who had the most battery life left. 3) The furniture has seen better days (leather couch peeling) and the corners of the room were not cleaned well. Of course we brought our own cleaning supplies because that's what we do . Overall we had a great time and I would visit them again.

We needed special recording played during our ceremony and she did it perfectly. The reception was a perfect mix of fast paced music and slow dancing. What really impressed me was how much she cared. Our wedding was in July and she was calling me in April to make sure she had everything she needed so my husband and I didn't have to worry about anything. The owner of the venue was a pain. She was a nightmare to deal with and gave Ashley a hard time, I'll go into that in another review. Ashley was the vision of professionalism in the face of overwhelming rudeness and disrespect. She was very clear that she worked for my husband and I and if the owner didn't like it, they would have to drag her out in handcuffs lol Weddings are always stressful, but the one thing we knew was that we didn't have to worry about Ashley. She was going to do anything and everything to make sure everything was exactly what we wanted and she absolutely delivered. Her energy was unmatched. She coordinated with the photographer and videographer to help make sure I got pictures and video of everything I wanted, played every song I asked for, kept our guests engaged and on the dance floor. She even made the time to join us on the dance floor herself. At the end of the evening my husband and I were the only ones there, but she kept playing with the same energy she had all day so that we could dance alone together the way we did when he proposed. If you want a DJ that is great at her job, cares about your wedding day, or event, and has a wonderful personality, hire Ashley. Don't even talk to anyone else. She is the total package. Six years later, I am back in STL for work--just four days, but I had to make sure I checked in here, at a bar I can now safely say is truly special. My current city has no comparable equivalent. Bars like The Crack Fox--that is, neighborhood dive bars that make great cocktails, with actual character and passion--bars that care more about what they do than the money they make doing it... these bars are rare. We entered through the back where the deck is and walked right in. Upon first glance, you'll notice the hanging lights above the entrance and then after a few feet, the bar is immediately to the right. The tables are all along the left side as to make a walkway for the bar (super convenient). Due it being their anniversary, it was a bit crowded but not too bad where you couldn't get a drink or walk through. My usual go-to is a flavored vodka (three olives grape) and sprite. While they had a plethora of spirits, sadly this wasn't one of them. They had other flavored vodkas but I opted to get a simple Cosmo while my friend got a makers and coke. The Cosmo was just what I needed and might I add, well made!After we got our drinks, we did a quick walk through of the other side called The Oddities (coming soon), as well as the upstairs that overlooks the entire place. The stairs are steep, so it would behoove you to hold on to the railing. While I love trying new places, I was a bit apprehensive because I thought I'd stick out like a sore thumb. Turns out, everyone was friendly, the drinks are great, and the music wasn't bad! They had different acts going on for this particular evening (I'm not sure if this is the norm), but I know my friend is a regular on Tuesday's for karaoke. I do intend to come back and try out some more drinks and food and check out the other place once it officially opens.
