Situated amongst the academic halls, the stadium is a bit of a walk from nearby parking. The arena essentially has been the same since its construction and has a capacity for 9314 spectators, making it one of the smallest venues for NCAA basketball. That makes it a tough and expensive ticket to get. I was there last Saturday for their game against the SMU Mustangs who are / were ranked in the top twenty five, so of course the crowd was extra lively. Also, they honored the '01 championship team and Coach K was in attendance. It was a great experience. This arena is "hallowed ground" amongst the fandom of college basketball. The history and tradition of Duke University and their basketball program is unmatched in my honest opinion. I'm lucky enough to have attended two games here, the last one being in '18 against my Alma Mater St John's University who got blown out that day. The amenities here are enough to keep you happy. They have the usual arena fare. Smithfield's has a sandwich cart and there are a few Mexican themed carts for nachos and tacos. I think Alpaca Peruvian Chicken has a cart as well. The concessions offer candy, popcorn, burgers, hot dogs etc.. Nothing extraordinary. You can purchase beer and wine. You are here to watch great basketball and not necessarily for the A+ concession offerings that people expect these days.

Las Vegas, Boston, Atlanta among others. There's something different though seeing them play in Cameron Indoor Stadium that I hope every true fan can experience! Been to a few games there now and there's nothing like it. Staff is very friendly and helpful in every way from scanning your tickets to finding your seats. With less than 10,00 seats here, to watch one of the best programs in the country play, this place gets insane! The Cameron Crazies and all the fans get very loud in here. The energy is unmatched. Make sure to come and check out the campus prior to the game, it's absolutely beautiful. Also go check out the campus stores for all your Duke gear/memorabilia needs. I have a man cave in my home with all Duke stuff, which mostly came from here. There's one right across from the stadium. DDMF!

Most of the seats are individual seats as opposed to backless metal bleachers. They have lots of concession stands and while I'm not a Duke fan it was pretty cool they had an area where Duke fans could ring the victory bell to celebrate their win over UNC. They also have a ton of restrooms so there's not much of a wait. The stadium is mostly outside so it works well on a clear day but I imagine it could be a mess in a heavy rain. I didn't sit there but for an extra charge you can sit on the party deck where I think you get some free food and a cash bar and a side of an awful DJ. Be prepared to wait for an Uber after the game. There's not really a designated place as far as I could tell so we just walked a ways away on campus and ordered from there. They should think about fixing that. The stadium works for what is, a smaller ACC venue and I'd come back here if FSU plays here again sometime.

It was crazy packed for this show, so we were pretty far off to the side near the lake in the back, but we still had a good time! If you want to sit close, try to get in when they open the doors - especially if it's a very popular band! One perk of this venue is they still offer free parking! You can pay for parking if you want to be super close, but the free lot isn't a far walk.

Maybe we were being directed to the front of the venue instead of the parking lot? Anyway, not sure if we would have ended up in the same place, but just a word of caution :) We arrived shortly before the start of the show and I was pretty shocked at the traffic. We waited in line for a long time before realizing that we were in the "preferred parking" line (where we'd have to pay $15) instead of the free parking that was a bit further away. Since we didn't want to be late, we paid for the parking :) There were plenty of free spots available, so that was nice. The walk to the ampitheatre was actually really nice and shaded with big tall trees. There was a front large lawn area and then a covered seating area with tables and chairs set up behind it. There were a ton of people, especially on the lawn, but we snagged a table in the corner and had a decent view of the stage. I was then sent off to grab popcorn for the family. They had a bunch of different lines for concessions, which included a variety of snacks and drinks, including beer :) Hurray! My line moved pretty slowly and I had to wait for fresh popcorn to be made, so it took maybe 15 to 20 minutes to actually get my food and get back to my family. The show sounded OK - I think it was a little quiet, but there were kids present so that kind of makes sense. I think it would have been nice to have screens so that people who were sitting far away could see the performance better. We left shortly before the end of the main set (our son was getting tired and/or bored) and traffic was fine getting out. Overall, it was an OK time. Parking was a little stressful and it felt a little hectic inside. I'd maybe come back here to see a performance if I was super into the artist, but I don't think the venue itself is really a draw.

The free exhibit starts with an brief but inspiring theater presentation in which current and past UNC players explain what it means to be a Tar Heel. You then move into a large hall filled with display cases of Carolina basketball mementos, from jerseys to signed team basketballs. Don't miss the marks on the floor, showing how far some of the team's most iconic shots were taken from the hoop. There are displays dedicated to Dean Smith, Roy Williams and, of course, the GOAT. Michael Jordan isn't nearly as prominent a presence in the museum as you would expect, but you can still see his signed 1981 Letter of Intent, his travel bag and a couple other historic items. His jerseys, however, are strangely absent, indicating the lack of connection the Wilmington phenom has had with the University since being drafted by the Bulls in 1984. The last hall in the exhibit contains the dizzying collection of awards won by Carolina over the decades, including their six NCAA Championship and 18 ACC Conference trophies. If you didn't walk in as a Tar Heel fan, you'll probably be one by the time you leave. A visit takes about an hour, and you can wander in and out of each exhibit room at your leisure. It can be tough to find parking nearby (especially on game days), but the location (next to the Dean Dome) is a short, downhill walk from the center of campus. The Carolina Basketball Museum is a MUST for every UNC student, and anyone who loves college basketball.

That said, the experience is fairly modest and doesn't take long to see. The facility feels more focused on serving local baseball than catering to tourists, and while you can still picture scenes from the film, visitors expecting a polished attraction may come away a bit underwhelmed. In a funny way, maybe that's part of the authenticity. The worn-down feel and lack of frills almost provide an honest glimpse into what minor league baseball was like for generations of players....long on character, short on luxury. While that perspective gave me something to appreciate, it wasn't enough to make the visit a destination in itself. For fellow Bull Durham fans, it's worth a quick stop if you're already nearby, but I wouldn't dedicate a significant portion of your trip to it. If you're attending a game or actually getting the chance to step onto the field, I suspect the experience would be considerably more memorable.

Food options are better than I would've expected at a college football stadium, from Carolina BBQ and nachos to Chick-fil-A and Merritt's (IYKYK), but the beer selection could use some improvement. There are a handful of local options (Sky Blue Kolsch is the most widely available Carolina craft), but Modelo and Budweiser are the dominant choices.
