Everything was absolutely amazing. Started with the fish fritters and they were so fluffy and delicious didnt take a photo when they first touched down the Fish & Chips were also a delicacy very lightly battered & fluffy. The tarter sauce had capers in it which was a great touch. The pasta was to DIE for. Perfectly al dente and the sauce All shared dished and a great ambience and views on Bondi Beach, Joel was our server and made the recommendations. 10/10 Nothing Beats Fish for sure thank you Joel!!

Fresh, tasty seafood with great ocean views - what more can you ask for? All the fish dishes were good, with the grilled barramundi being my favorite and the fish tacos a close second.

I finally got to try the barramundi fish, a tasty filet with a lemon, butter sauce. A nice, delicate flavor. My partner's NBF burger tasted almost exactly like a Filet-o-Fish (which isn't awful but not worth the price) and my mimosita was MAYBE a teaspoon full. Again, not worth the price. And the host was a snob.

On my last remaining days in Sydney, one of my second cousins took me to one of her old hoods. This location was once place that I was, but not too familiar with. This place was world known as Santa Monica is to me. The place was Bondi and place to relax with the ocean in your view was at the North Bondi RSL Club. When my cousin and I arrived to Bondi, it started pouring like the clouds didn't want to retain anymore water. She recommended going to a local club. When I thought club, I thought...Its the afternoon?! Then, I realized it was one of those high class vacation spots. For us Americans or foreign visitors, RSL stands for Returned and Services League of Australia. You can say its almost like one of those Legion Halls that we have in the United States, but are of high quality. Those who serve in Australia Defense Force deserve places like this and I am happy to have been here. When we walked in, we had to sign in as Club Guests. I don't remember what the qualifications were be a member and/or as a guest. As a guest, I vaguely remember that you have to live further than ~5 miles from Bondi. After you sign in, you'll enter the main hall and you'll see the beautiful Bondi Beach despite the rain being a pain in the view. The main hall has a stage for live bands, but since it was the afternoon, the RSL was playing Rugby Games on the screen. When you order food and drinks, you'll order from two different areas. The food will come from the far counter. I don't remember the exact prices, but they were specials for the day. I ordered the Thai Beef salad and I believe my cousin ordered a burger with fries. Sorry, I only have the photo for my dish. The food counter is the only counter that accepts credit card. When you head over to the bar, cash is the only form of payment accepted. I had a local Bondi beer which I should've gotten the name of. We found a great spot to sit down at and the rain and the thunder tried to ruin the mood, but the ambiance was still intact. With the view of Bondi Beach and a very cool dining hall, we just let the rain do its business while we wait for our food. While we waited, a bird flew in to relax as well. Well, since the doors were open, I wonder if the bird filled out one of the guest forms. I know the bird was trying to grab some chips off of one of the employees ho was about to take a break. One of the other guests as well as my cousin and myself tried to get the bird out. We were successful. Our food came out in very presentable dishes. My salad had very well cooked beef on top of delicious lettuce and tasty onions. I don't remember what kind of dressing, but it probably was close to something Asian. I am not sure if this salad is served every week, but I hope it is after this review is posted. The beef is succulent and the crispiness of the veggies was just right. I was I didn't finish it, but I had to. If you don't enjoy it, then it tells on your plate. After the meal was over, all we did was sit and watched the rain pour. However, I did get to use the restroom to see some ladies. No, I wasn't in the women's restroom. It was a bunch of ladies above men's urinals giving you awesome looks. Overall, I loved North Bondi RSL, but I wished I got to visit more RSL's of Australia. I am glad to have visited and hopefully more visitors will come and bring more business. You think I write too much? Well, you can call me a Yelp-O-Holic!

Think of RSL clubs, and it's loud pokies, zimmerframes and soggy cafeteria schnitzels that come to mind. Not the case at North Bondi RSL. The unassuming entrance to this ex-servicemen's club leads to an enormous, bustling bar area and coveted balcony seating overlooking the iconic beach nearby. Young and beautiful locals are just as likely to head here for an après-beach drinking session as they are to stop by a trendy bar, with a busy atmosphere and cheap drinks to boot. The bar itself is small considering the size of the venue, so it can be quite a wait on Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights, and the lack of ventilation also produces a bit of a sweat fest. That said, if you can bulk buy a round of their house white wines when you make it to the counter then you'll mind the lack of space a little less. Saturday nights usually have a live band playing - I remember one visit when the crazy fun Martini Club played with particular fondness - but you will have to front up your ID at the door and sign in for entry on any given day.

"Perfect way to take in the beach view, chat, people watch and enjoy a few delicious cucumber spritz cocktails" Vibe : It's safe to say it's the same vibe and crowd as North Bondi Italian. However the venue has undergone a cosmetic make over. It resembles a bright, airy and breezy boathouse. Will impress : Friends who like to be in the know and usually sit on the grassy knoll (sorry I'm stereotyping). I came here with my gorgeous girlfriend Lisa (http://lisasdailyritual.tumblr.com/), for a post around-the-world-in-3 weeks catch up and it was the perfect way to take in the beach view, chat, people watch and enjoy a few delicious cucumber spritz cocktails. Spend : $$$ Dress code : Heels -big no for lunch. Dress up but wear flats to compliment the casual atmosphere. Food : To start, Sydney Rock Oysters (Don't know why I insist on having oyster when I know I'll never be a fan). Followed by crisp, moderately battered flathead fillets, chips and crumbed calamari rings. Much more suitable to my palate. The meal was as expected, to put it simply - quality battered fish! To drink, we easily skulled a few cucumber spritz cocktails. Love Bangers x

With some good weather, on a Sunday afternoon this place is pumping. It's relaxed vibe, is made up of Surfies, backpackers, and locals all enjoying their bevies in their thongs. The stunning location, is somehow unpretentious, compared to it's South Bondi cousin Icebergs RSL, but with an equally gorgeous view of the waves crashing on Bondi, and the sexy beach bums in perfect sight, you'll guard your balcony seat like a hawk. Grab a seat inside if you can't get one on the balcony, and pick up the very reasonably priced menu, for some sharing plates, and/or steaks, or burgers - try the Tandoori burger for something different.

Views from this establish was excellent. Food and drinks for lunch was a great way to kickoff this trip. Sashimi platter was very fresh while the chips were appetizing.

Great place for cheap eats and drinks with a view. The other day I randomly ended up here as the person I was with is a Bondi local and suggested it. When we arrived at the RSL club there were no seats on the outside patio but we managed to locate a high table facing outside through the window at the ocean. It was beautiful. I started off with a glass of the house red. Shortly after arriving we decided to order food and instead of getting a main each we got items that were great for sharing. We ordered pizza #3 which included chorizo, ham, mushrooms, onions, roasted capsicum and feta. The flavours of the pizza all seemed to work together in a lovely way that gave your taste buds a little dance. The pizza dough was the right amount of thickness and bottom not burt. We also ordered sweet potato chips and calamari to go with it. The wedges were exactly what I expected. The calamari was coated perfectly with the right amount of seasoning but it's only downfall was the sauce that it came with. It was a bit too runny and dripped everywhere.. even down my shirt. After dinner we moved outside as a table became available and took in the stunning night view of Bondi.. looking out into the ocean is truly a highlight of this place. Being an RSL club there are countless events and specials throughout the week and of course a pokie machine for your entertainment. If you are not aa member you will need to sign in. Be sure to keep the slip because if you win and dont have the slip they will not pay you. All in all I would recommend this place if you are around the area for cheap eats as some places in Bondi can get pricey.

Fish tacos, fish and chips, and bruschetta. AMAZING

Wow! That's all I have to say. We stumbled upon this place, and I must say I am beyond excited that we did. If you are not a member you have to sign in and write your information Before going in. Make sure you are not wearing a hat and are dressed properly. The staff is super friendly and the food is out of this world. We were there right when the sign was going down. It was so romantic. Definitely go here if you are at Bondi beach.

If you don't know the deal with RSL (Returned Servicemen's Leagues) Clubs, they are government sponsored drinking establishments that may have a few odd-sounding rules & regulations but it's all worth it for cheap subsidised drinks and sometimes lawn bowls! Basically, if you live within 5kms of the club you have to join for a small fee- usually around 5 or 10 bucks. They have area maps on the walls at registration & it's as strictly monitored as electoral boundaries! If you live outside the area you don't have to join and can sign in as a guest, but either way you won't get in without ID. You also won't get in if you're wearing any headwear, male or female - this is a mark of respect for the service men and women these venues are dedicated to. The other thing that can seem bizarre if you aren't fore-warned, is the 6pm minute's silence for the fallen. It's kind of bizarre to be drinking in a rowdy pub and then hear over the loud speakers, "all rise and face the West" and a whole pub obediently quieting down for the Last Post. "Lest We Forget" is the cue to get raucus again and the volume always rises a few levels immediately when you're allowed to resume noise-making. Despite sounding staunch and traditional, some RSL clubs are popular with the young & funky. North Bondi RSL is definitely one of the cool ones and one of my favourite places to spend a sunny Sunday afternoon. No hats inside and no singlets for men but there's actually a pretty relaxed dress code- flip-flops are fine and you can head in dripping straight from a swim- and they even have a rack of loaner Hawaiian shirts for men who rock up in their wifebeaters. They have decent if not super-cheap food and a margarita slushie machine! Backpackers don't tend to know about this place and only come if a local brings them so it's a relatively dickhead-free zone with gorgeous views over Bondi Beach if you manage to blag a balcony spot. Joining fee for locals is $20 for a year and your membership card gets you benefits like a member's draw, even cheaper drinks, and the convenience of not having to sign in on entry. Oh and if you don't live in the area you can't join, so nyeeuh. Check out the Men's room!
