Stay clear! Unless you want shoddy workmanship and the use of poor materials.
We had Sam Norris build two outdoor small gates and install a replacement side door in our garage. What seemed like a simple project turned into a circus. Both of the yard gates were mismeasured (which was discovered when they were delivered) and had to be rebuilt.
That was just the start - the rebuilt gates were built using poor materials. The wood was not kiln dried and began to shrink and crack within a couple of weeks. Sam patched and repainted several times (which looked terrible) until he finally gave up and rebuilt the gates for a third time.
Guess what? The third time was no better. Within a month one of the gates had cracked all the way across - again from use of wood that was not dry - and had shrunk to the point that it would barely stay locked as it had pulled that far away from the frame. We had to hire another contractor to build a new gate. Did Sam Norris give us a refund? That would be NO.
Oh - the side door in the garage is sagging to the point it will barely close. Speaking of the side garage door; after the new door was installed Sam had one of his helpers paint the door. Turned out it was his first time painting and he proceeded to get paint all over the weather stripping - to the point the weather stripping had to be replaced. We've had challenges with contractors before - but Norris construction is the worst we have ever seen. Be warned! read more
