Our entire stay was above and beyond our expectations from the moment we arrived until the moment…read morewe left.  Emanuel (Manny) our preferred club butler and Tatianna from management, along with a number of other workers in the preferred club check-in area, greeted us so warmly and were so welcoming to our service animal that we travel with.  Manny's communication with us every day was outstanding, always helping to make sure we had everything we needed for ourselves and for our service animal, and we had only positive experiences securing spots at restaurants and elsewhere on property with his help.  Housekeeping not only provided the dog amenities in our room, but also provided several other magical touches to make our stay and our service animal's stay the very best.  We were very pleased with the daily room cleaning and turn-down services.  One day we had a cabana on the beach, and the staff, especially Ranchy, were so accommodating and wonderful.  We knew Hyatts were all dog-friendly, but we were really touched how accommodating this property was, including restaurants who made space for her to join us at certain meals.  Food from all of the clubs, cafes, and restaurants across property was excellent.  Servers were all very kind and engaging.  Sandra at Riviera gave us and our service animal such a warm welcome, by name, every morning when we arrived to breakfast. Tatinana also looked after us throughout our stay and would pop by many of our dinners to say hello, talk about the day and make sure we had everything we needed.  A highlight of the property for us was the cabanas along the lazy river pool.  This area of the resort is truly a standout feature - the perfect mix of peace/relaxation and also socialization as other guests pass by on the river.  So many staff on property made an effort to learn our names and our service animal's name, which really put smiles on our faces.  We can't say enough great things about this property and would definitely consider returning.  Also we want to note how comfortable we felt as LGBT guests at the property - all of the staff made us feel right at home at all times. Food/bev add'l review As stated earlier, we were extremely pleased with the quality and amount of food available at all locations on property.  We were also extremely touched by the custom dog cake that the culinary staff created for our service animal's birthday.  It really surpassed our expectations.  Also Tatinana and the culinary staff went out of their way to ensure blueberries were offered to us and our service animal, which we know are not always readily available - but they knew it was one of her favorite foods and made us all so happy for our week away from home.

I have to say, this experience was nothing short of spectacular. We booked the trip to attend a wedding in the family, and they did a beautiful job of hosting the wedding at the resort. Everything was very well put together, the bartenders were extremely attentive and kind, and they didn't miss a single detail. They treated our whole group very well. We were there for four days, and we enjoyed many of the amenities at the resort. We loved the lazy river, and all of the pools available to the guests. My partner loved the karaoke night and really enjoyed all of the nightlife activities. The food was out of this world, and I will include some photos from the delicious meals that we've had. All of the food was very fresh, and I loved that they had stations at the buffet where you could get customized meals; we ended up doing a lot of the custom Pasta and steak combos. We loved that they had a ton of different types of food and they had food for a variety of dietary restrictions which allowed all of our group to be able to enjoy meals together at the resort. We were mind blown that all of the drinks were included in the package, and definitely got our fill on all of the different cocktails! The bartenders were very knowledgable and we were even able to request some specialty drinks that they hadn't heard of before, which they made very well even without much guidance! We did room service a couple of the nights that we were there, and every time, the person who delivered our food made extra effort to make sure that we had everything we needed and would come into the room to set the food up just right. Compassion Cafe seeks the integration of people with intellectual and developmental disabilities through hands-on training and employment in a small coffee shop environment. By providing meaningful, paid employment for teens and adults with special needs, our employees will gain independence, self-confidence, and work skills for a successful future. WHAT an incredible and moving idea. The cold brew was PERFECT and I was even able to take away some dog treats that my doggers will enjoy. It was so nice to be able to meet some of the employees, support a great cause and enjoy some delicious coffee. Kudos to Sea Shell for hosting this cafe for the 2025 season!

Writing this review to warn people booking off season stays! I've stayed here many times in July…read moreand August and had a great time. Recently just stayed the second weekend of May for Mother's Day weekend and was very disappointed. I inquired prior to booking to ask if the pool would be open and they said yes so I booked rooms for me, my sisters and their kids. I figured May is hit or miss, but at least if the weather isn't great we could just hang out in the heated pool. Unfortunately they do not disclose prior to booking, or when I inquired about the pool, that the pool and pool deck is blocked off and you can only go in a small area on the shallow end if they are having a wedding. Well ends up, they had weddings both Friday and Saturday. I think in the off season months May, June, September, October this is very common here. Pretty much the entire premises was blocked off both days for weddings. We tried to go down to the tiki bar Friday evening around 7/8pm (which was the only place open for guests not going to the wedding) and it was closed already so there was really nothing on the premises for us to do. The rooms are too small to really hang out in (no couch or table). We did go to the tiki bar earlier in the day and the guys working there were nice, food and drinks were good. The palms trees were not installed yet, didn't know they wouldn't be there.. I had told my nieces and nephews about the palm trees because I always thought it adds something special to the ambiance. I called a couple days prior to our stay to request if our rooms could be next to each other. They said they could not put us next to each other, which was not a big deal, but then unfortunately we could hear everything through the walls of the rooms next to us. Saturday night we were surrounded on both sides by people staying for the weddings and although they just were talking in their rooms when they came up around 11pm, the walls are so thin that we could pretty much make out their entire conversation, which went on until after 1am. All in all it was a disappointing weekend. If we had only known, we would have stayed somewhere closer to home with more to do and less expensive.

The Inn at Haven Harbour offers nice rooms and suites. I've stayed there 3 times (single, double…read moreand suite) and each time, I've found it to be extraordinary. The rooms are clean and quiet. Bedding and baths are clean. No odors and no evidence of a previous stay. The grounds are really nice -- offering views of Haven Harbour Swann Creek and their Marina. What's really nice is the accommodations are far enough away from the Marina that you can't hear any boats or machinery -- just an occasional seagull and maybe some geese. They also have firepits, gazebos and bicycles as well as walking paths -- very nice. The rooms come with a "continental" breakfast including toasts, muffins, juices, coffees, cereals, yogurts, etc with a buffet style hot plate - differing from day to day - sometimes sausage, quiches, or scrambled eggs. You can tell these dishes are locally prepared as they are delicious without any signs of mass processed food. This extra - in my opinion - makes Haven Harbour's hospitality quite notable. The staff can't do enough to help. They are kind and a pleasure to work with. And, there's not a lot of hustle and bustle by staff members -- it's really quite quiet and very nice. They absolutely respect your choice to stay with them.

*****Harvest Host Review*****…read more Recently stayed at Bear Creek Mountain Resort as a Harvest Host guest and really enjoyed our stay. The first night is free and additional nights are extra $, but worth it because it includes use of their outdoor pool/sauna, Mountain Activity Center, and more. The outdoor pool is a nice size and is located just outside of The Traile End Cafe, which makes it an ideal spot if you wanted to grab a bite to eat/sip on some drinks before/after swimming. There's also a sauna outdoors too. During our stay, we also took advantage of hiking the loop (5.1 miles) around the resort and top of the mountain. There's also games to play like table tennis and corn hole; and you could go canoeing and use the paddle boats on the lake free of charge. The also have guided archery and ax throwing for $15pp for an hour. If you prefer not to cook, there's two restaurants on site with decent food. Overall a great Harvest Host location that I highly recommend.

The resort provided bathrobes and slippers, along with a snack and coffee station, safe, hangers, large screen tv, etc. We had breakfast in the lounge area since the Maya restaurant was closed for the season. The first morning I had the avocado toast with a poached egg and it was delicious. The lounge areas is really chic and comfortable to grab a bite or drink and take in the beach scenery and people watch on the boardwalk. The second morning in the Maya section (reserved for our party), my cousins arranged a large brunch buffet, which I thought was very good (especially the seasoned eggs and bacon) with a wide assortment of dishes, pastries, beverages. Service was impeccable from check in to dining to catering. A great place to stay.

We have stayed often and we are used to clean well prepared rooms so this was a real disappointment. The room was not cleaned properly at all. There was debris on the floor and my husband found an opened half empty bottle of beer left in the refrigerator. The counters were not cleaned well and they appeared spotty and dull. It was clear the room had not been serviced with care. The sheets were changed and clean but the overall condition of the room did not reflect the quality we have consistently received in the past. I want to be fair because we usually enjoy our stays here but this was not acceptable and it raises concerns about the cleaning process. I hope this feedback is taken seriously so future guests can have the level of cleanliness and comfort we have always appreciated here.

The second reason is that I got this room because after weeks of traveling I am dying to cook a meal while looking at these gorgeous views. The room doesn't supply anything!! No pots, no pans, no silverware, no sponge, no glassware.... It has zero stuff in any of the cupboards. So if you are staying here and order food ( ask for silverware) if you're staying here and want to make some sandwiches for your family beach day.... Run to the store because you will need everything! Including paper towels. I don't get having a kitchen that you can't use. Do people actually travel with pots and pans and knives? However, the room was quite weathered - peeling furniture, urine stench, and low pressure frigid showers. As for the waterpark, there are many things to do for little ones to adults! So many options, but yet again, the water was so cold my son's lips turned blue and couldn't stay in the play structure very long. We've been to all the water parks in the area during the winter and this was definitely the coldest. Overall, the kids had a blast but don't come in the water unless you like cold showers and waterslides.
