My biggest issue continues to be the OWNER repeatedly canceling my appointments. This has happened more than once, and it is extremely frustrating and unprofessional. Customers arrange their schedules around appointments, and our time should be respected too. What makes this especially disappointing is that the cancellations are coming from the owner herself. As the owner of a business, I would expect you to set the example when it comes to reliability, communication, and customer service. If a customer repeatedly canceled appointments, I'm sure it would be considered unacceptable and they could potentially be charged a cancellation fee. So why should customers be expected to simply accept repeated cancellations from the business? I have tried to be patient, but there is only so much inconvenience a customer should have to tolerate. I am leaving this review because this was genuinely my experience, and other customers deserve to know what they may encounter when booking here.

Cleanliness is well kept here from restrooms to the work stations to the waiting area. I appreciate any business that takes sanitization and cleanliness a priority. Sure a business/barber can learn all that they can during their cosmo/barber school but will they actually apply it? Not many do. It's a must to sanitize. Here, you can be confident and sit comfortably in their chair knowing they've taken the time to make it an S.O.P., regardless of how busy it is.

She might come across as rude because she does not sugar coat what she says. I like her professionalism. She is honest and will inform you straight up if the color you want is doable or not. Yana will not just color your hair for money, she cares about the health of your hair, so if you want your black hair to become golden or blond (lifted so much) during your first session, then you are at the wrong salon. There is a process for that and you must trust the process. She also gives you advice and tips on how to care for your hair. With every session, I always learned something about hair (not only hair, other topics too). I enjoyed my conversations with her as they are intellectual. I love my hair. She listens to my requests. Overall, I finally got the color I want, that's after at least two sessions with her. At the third session, I could already see the color I have been wanting, it perfect but on the way. On my fourth session, I was truly happy. By the way, make sure to wear something warm in the winter because this place has high ceiling, meaning even with heater on, it will still be cold (well I'm always cold but it's good to have layers) - remember, hot air stays up.

Lily is truly a gem - incredibly nice and honest about the hair. She managed to lighten my hair enough without damaging it. One time I went but she was in vietnam and someone else dyed it. I asked for the lightest they could do and she did a phenomenal job as well. My preference is still Lliy, however her associate did a good job as well. They all did it the gentlest way using dye without ammonia which saved my ultra fine hair. It took a long time since my hair is so incredibly black (where people ask me if i dyed it constantly) and I'm thankful for her. As she treats me and my mother so well. It's been since (Covid) 2020 that I let my natural color grow out, I have a white streak of gray right in the front and it makes life interesting. I was hesitant to get it colored because I do love my grays but a girl might need a change. (Ugh, decisions, decisions) I texted Fernanda the day before about being torn between color or no color. I walked in around 1pm the next day, was quickly greeted by Fernanda and we chatted about my color. She told me she would prefer not to add highlights only because I'd go back to having to get it retouched every 6-8 weeks and because she loves the way my grays look. I was kinda relieved she told me cause we opted NOT to color it, that might change later on in the year but for now, I left it as is. Grateful she was interested in the care to my hair and not just out to make $. Which is why I keep going back, Fernanda cares about making sure I was happy with my decision.
