I have been visiting Nali for nearly two years now and I have always been very pleased with her work! I came to her after about a year of disappointing hair experiences at other salons. I would ask for a balayage and instead, I received some semblance of a balayage and more of a regular foil highlight 'cookie cutter' look. The results were not of the freehand painting technique that I really wanted. Fortunately, I found Nali in Berkeley and have never left her since! She truly listens to you and works with you to get the hair you want. She is amazing at painting your hair in a way that is flattering to your face--babylights, lowlights, color melt, you name it! A few months back I got a bad hair cut with choppy layers and literally mismatched lengths. I really hated wearing my hair down because I hated how it looked. I have super thick and heavy hair so I feel like that might be a challenge for a lot of hair stylists. I'm really happy with how my hair turned out. Nali is the sweetest and I am so excited to go back for my second, third, fourth touch ups and more! I had heard about Nali from my friend, Lupe, who had gotten a balayage from her. She had always had rave reviews and so I decided to go for it since I never really experienced a great/first salon experience. It was a cute boutique in El Cerrito Plaza and she had her own little shop inside. I needed a change and Nali gave me more than I could have hoped for. We laughed, we talked, and she brought me back to life. I messaged her from Yelp on a Friday night (12 am) if she had any openings and and she responded by Saturday morning at 9 am that she could take me at 6 pm that night. She was running a little late with another client, but she stayed behind and worked with me until 10 pm (even though she usually closes at 6 pm!) My hair is naturally dark black/brown and she gave me a light balayage and a haircut that brightened my hair and my life. I have had the pleasure of getting a haircut, hair colored and now the Keratin Complex treatment by Nalitha. She is honestly the BEST stylist I have found!! I love the face framing she does when she does haircuts I am sooo soo glad I did the Keratin Complex treatment. Now my hair is so flawless and glossy! I don't even have to blow dry it or apply any products in it. The keratin treatment has made my mornings so much easier. I just wake up and go. I highly recommend the keratin treatment because I am so in love with it! I'd do it all over again with Nalitha I suffer from thinning hair and I am very happy that I found a stylist that has helped me so much. My first haircut with her was amazing! She was able to give me a haircut that contoured my face and hid the areas on my scalp where it was thinning. I have been working with Nali for 5 years. She is a consummate professional and a pleasure to see whenever my hair needs love. She gives me the freshest haircuts that are both classic and fresh. I have what I call "advanced level" hair. It's thick, coarse and resistant to dye. It is a real challenge going from black to ashy blonde. Nali puts her time and expertise to listen to what I want and makes sure the hair lifts and tones to my satisfaction even if it takes longer than our allotted time. She also takes COVID-19 protocol seriously with gloves, masks, hand sanitizer, air purifier, the works. She could not do more to keep herself and her clients safe.
