I saw Jessica for color today. I wanted to color the gray in my hair. There wasn't too much gray…read morebut I figured it would be nice for the new year. Jessica helped me choose a very natural black brown instead of the dark black that I was leaning towards. I was pleased that the black brown was so natural on me and it feels nice starting the new year with a more vibrant hair color. This salon always plays pleasant music and offers tea or cold drinks. It's a cozy salon and I love that their clientele is extremely diverse. I started coming here many years ago and I couldn't really get away for long but hopefully, I will be staying with Jessica for the coming years for more color and cuts. Jessica is a sweet person with a kind smile. That definitely makes this salon an even better place. The only thing I would change are the chairs/wash basins they use to wash hair, it would be more comfortable if they could update those because it's a bit uncomfortable.

I feel most hair stylists rush when they see a kid and don't put care into it. When we arrived she offered him something to drink (just like they do when I come for my appointments) and I thought that was nice. She stopped plenty of times to ask my son how he was feeling about the way the cut was going and she asked for my input as well. Jordan ended up with a cut that still kept enough length that he was happy and the layering in the back has been perfect for me because his hair no longer turns into a matted mess each night with the accompanying brushing battle in the morning. Also, you can still his hair extend out of the back of his hockey helmet, which I love, Perfect!

I asked for acrylic dip removal and a gel manicure + regular varnish pedicure. She was SO gentle with the pedicure! I was extremely relieved and impressed when I saw how meticulous she was when cleaning and trimming my toe nails. I don't have crazy hang nails but I've been experiencing discomfort while walking from previous pedicures. The other times, the nail tech would be aggressive when digging into the nail beds and pumicing my feet. Demi was very gentle while pumicing and gave me very clean french tip. It's been a few weeks now and I definitely feel better walking! My gel manicure was very simple due to the time constraint. Demi did her best to remove as much as the acrylic dip powder while reshaping my natural nail. The full set came out pretty but I did noticed a few of my nails veer to the left or right instead of them being straight. It's a small oversight but it is something I can't unsee. Camilla requested that I send her a photo of what her hair looks like now and what the desired look was. Once she reviewed, she was able to fit my daughter in quickly. We were in awe with what a amazing job Camilla did on my daughters hair. She really took to time to get the desired look and didn't rush through it. Once she was done with the highlights, she applied toner, blow dried and straighten her hair. I can honestly say, I have never seen my daughter as pleased after leaving a salon as she did today. She ever referred for Camilla as a G and Fire, (all good things!) Camilla has great prices, her shop is in a good location with easy to find street parking and she really takes the time to give you what you are looking for. We will keep coming back to her.
