As much as I really wanted to love Nori Nite, it was just OK for us. I had the green curry with tofu, which was good, but definitely pretty spicy. My husband had the steak and shrimp hibachi. The shrimp was really good, but he said the steak was so tough he could barely chew it. The fried rice was also a big miss for him. The restaurant was very clean, and our server was super friendly and helpful, so no complaints there! I just don't feel like the food lived up to our expectations this time. I'm not writing it off, though. I'll probably give it another try and check out the sushi next time to see if that's where they shine.

New sushi restaurant in town. I liked that they had some veggie options and I'd really like to come back to try one of their cocktails. The food was good, a little expensive on some of the rolls I wanted to try but everything I had tasted good. I didn't have anything that was really "wow" but I will likely come back to try the veggie roll I saw that looked like it had a little more flavorful oomph

What a great find! We had just gotten off a plane at the Sanford airport and wanted a quick bite -…read morethis sounded good and it was! The employees were great - very helpful and friendly. There are not many tables for dining there, but there are a few - while we were there the restaurant was doing a brisk take-out business. The food was truly delicious. Hubs enjoyed his drunken noodles with chicken (Thai hot!), and I loved my Penang curry with tofu. I ordered mild to medium and it was on the upper level of my heat tolerance (ordered mild when I returned the 2nd time and just added some heat myself). We tried the curry crab Rangoon - they were ok. Also enjoyed the purple sticky rice with mangos - so yummy! Looking forward to returning!

Brandon's wife's family is from Laos. The restaurant has been open about 6 years. Why did it take me so long to come here?? It was my dad's birthday. So we went to lunch and shared the papaya salad with Thai style dressing, the summer rolls with extra peanut sauce, and he had the pad Thai w shrimp and I had the pad see ew with chicken. Dad had a Diet Coke (can) and I had a Thai coffee with extra ice. Everything we ordered came packaged in to go boxes- so if you don't finish- it's ok! It's ready to take home. But since we were eating there, they gave us two plates and our choice of chopsticks/fork/spoon etc. The food is made to order but still came out fast. Two to go orders were processed while we perused the menu and another to go came in while we were eating. A table for three came in during that time as well. So this place is probably more take out than dine in. The iced coffee was as predicted - sweet. But not overly sweet. The extra ice toned it down a bit. The summer rolls were huge. He was right to suggest an extra sauce for $0.50 because my dad pretty much used the entire sauce ramekin for himself. The papaya salad was great. Lightly dressed. Lots of shredded papaya with a chunk of cabbage in it, some stewed? Tomatoes. They have the option for Laotian dressing but I am not familiar with that fermented fish sauce? So I went with the Thai style which is regular fish sauce. I probably should have been more adventurous. We got the salad mild so no spice. For my dish I went with level one spice which is mild medium. You could definitely feel the heat after you swallowed the bite. I can't imagine what level 6 spice is like! Pad see ew was delicious. Those chunky soaked noodles in brown sauce with lots of big veggies. I got the chicken. Next time I'll do double meat. I like more meat. Dad had the pad thai w shrimp medium spice. It was definitely more spicy than mine but tolerable. Again- I would get double shrimp, but that's my opinion. We did not get dessert. We thought about ordering the beef waterfall- that will be my next dish. And they had some new specials! So I will definitely be back. I love the Christian atmosphere- not overwhelming and honestly you could go in for take out and not notice it. They do a great job with the food and customer service. In fact, they gave us a discount because my dad is a veteran and he was wearing his hat which reflected his service, and the owner noticed it. He thanked my dad for his service :) the discount was not expected and was a surprise! Wow! I would recommend this place. Family owned and operated. Food is great portion and delicious, made to order. I will be back.

There is plenty of seating and the staff is very friendly. Since it is located in Midtown, parking could be tricky. It wasn't super busy when we arrived, but it seems to be a popular spot amongst college students. The menu offers a nice variety of asian dishes and they also serve breakfast/brunch on the daily. The interior appeared sort of "run down", but in the best way possible. It was still inviting and provided for a nice, laid back sort of meal. The food doesn't take too long to come out either and it is made fresh to order. We ended up ordering the steamed dumplings as an appetizer. I also ordered a cup of miso soup. The dish comes with 5 decent size dumplings. They are handmade and packed with filling. I appreciated the flavorful pork and the amount of it in them. My miso soup was pretty standard, nothing too special. But is hit the spot on a chilly evening. For our entrees, my friend ordered the beef udon, while I ordered the Lemongrass chicken. The portions are pretty large and we found it to be quite filling. My friend said this was some of the best udon she'd had. The broth was very flavorful, the beef was tender, and the noodles were cooked to perfection. The only thing she didn't like as much was the fried egg, opposed to the more traditional hard boiled egg. My lemongrass chicken was satisfying as well. It came with a copious amount of chicken, with a really tangy sauce over it. The rice was overcooked, which was disappointing. Overall, Bagels and Noodles is a wonderful asian eatery located in Midtown. Its location is prime for college students and I can see why it is so popular. The service is very good and personable. The "hole in the wall" feel of the restaurant makes the atmosphere! The food is made with lots of love and it was served fresh and hot. The dumplings are amazing and I would recommend. My friend is already dying to come back and explore more of their noodle dishes. I will definitely be returning and look forward to trying more things!

The waitress that took it back was a bit rude about it though. The ambiance is alright, just a small quaint place that is more nostalgic than anything. I looked back at my previous post and remembered we enjoyed their food!! My husband ordered the Crispy Pork Belly Holy Basil. It was tasty but not enough meat. I got the Khao Soi Gai which is similar to the Thai curry noodles. The difference is the noodles, this version uses thin rice noodles. However, I prefer egg noodles, as the rice noodles seemed to absorb the broth, leaving very little left after mixing everything together. We also ordered the Braised Pork Belly to go. We used to love this dish, but this time we found it a bit too sweet for our taste. Overall, we really enjoy their food and will definitely return to explore more of the menu.

The crispy garlic pork with sticky rice was our absolute favorite! Definitely reminds me of Asian street food. The crispy shrimp roll was indeed crispy and the batter was just right and not overly done. My son liked the crab rangoons and ate them all. The braised pork belly over rice was okay. It was a little on the salty side and personally a little too much sauce over the rice. Overall, the food tasted pretty authentic, with the good balance of bold spices and fresh ingredients. Each dish had its own standout flavors, and it was fun sampling a little bit of everything. The staff was friendly and got our order out quickly, which made the experience even better. The ambiance of the food court is what you would expect of a typical food court. If you're craving authentic Lao food and want something quick but delicious, it is definitely worth checking out.
