The yak udon with chicken was very good but too oily. There was a generous amount of bok choy, carrots, onions and mushrooms that equaled the amount of square shaped noodles. The small slices of chicken were tender. The tofu plate with rice, just-cooked broccoli and cubes of lightly breaded and fried tofu coated with a sweet teriyaki sauce was good. Their good reviews attracted me be to swing by for a quick lunch before heading to the airport. The plaza has a lot of food offering, and a decent amount of parking spots. Entering I noticed the restaurant was kept really clean and the noise level wasn't too loud. We were able to get seated right a way. The menu here is pretty large, we ultimately decided on the Spicy Garlic Chicken Bento and the Crazy Monkey. The spicy garlic chicken bento was a great value for how much food and variety that came with it. The crazy monkey was a delicious sushi roll. I love all the food here. There are so many sushi roll options and they're very filling, huge portions and good price!! The ichiban roll and crunchy roll are my absolute favorite Also, the dirty fries are a must!!! My husband and I agree they're one of the best fries we've ever had. Trust me... The miso ramen was rich and packed with layers of deliciousness. Maybe the worst sushi experience I've ever had, and I've had them from Tokyo to New York City. Reservations at 6 pm. No response until 6:30. Ordered drinks and appetizers. 7:15, nothing. Finally got our original order. Ordered sushi and sashimi. 7:45, the sashimi came out, and the pieces were FROZEN TOGETHER! I'm not making this up. Totally frozen. Clearly, they had been pre cut and refrozen. I pointed this out to the waitress, and she literally wanted to melt under the table. She tried to make it right, but there was nothing she could do. You can feel the passion from the second you sit down. The menu is thoughtful and creative, and chock full of great choices. We had the Brussels sprouts appetizer (most flavorful/complex and delicious I've ever had). The sushi rolls are unique. And so artfully crafted. Perfection on a plate. The sushi rice was top notch. And the flavors/textures melded perfectly. When you learn more about the owner, you'll discover that he's a beloved chef, who wait staff has followed to this new restaurant because they love his passion/philosophy. Because of this, the service is incredible. A staff full of people who believe in the owner and are absolute foodies. I plan to be back to Nori next time I travel back to Medford.
