I love the variety that Nords has. I like the brands that they work with. I like the store's look and organization. I do not like their associates too much. I think sometimes its a bit overpriced. I Love their seasonal sales, and going with friends and trying it all. Their customer service is great. I cannot complain about that. I had a watch that I bought there, and I felt like it wasn't working as well as when I first bought it, although I really couldn't prove it, yet, they asked me if I wanted to change it, without even asking me for explanations, or giving a fight or anything. I rarely buy stuff from Nordstroms, but MAC makeup is my weakness and they have fantastic peeps working there in that department. I have also purchased a wallet, and eye the purses obsessively. There have been two times that I purchased a dress for special occasions, and each time, the associates have been amazing! I have a weird body type that doesn't really work well with most off the rack stuff, and the gals there bent over backward each time to help me find something perfect. My hubby and I do a "The Price is Right" kinda game, guessing how much the Jimmy Choo's are, cause the prices are ridiculous enough to play games like that. Ok maybe I'm just jelly and sad that I don't have much money to actually purchase things there, but when I splurge here and there, its a pleasant experience. read more

I've been purchasing MAC for over ten years. For nearly half that time, I've frequented the location at this Nordstrom and I can say that the service is better than ever! Most of the folks that work here (and other cosmetic counters) are knowledgeable about the products they carry. Daniel at MAC though is certainly one of their best. I drop in a couple times a month to make a purchase and I can count on him for his honest opinions over Limited Edition items, brushes, and classic products. He's knowledgeable, passionate, and super helpful even on days when their counter is swamped. I don't have to many reasons to drive down to Nordstrom down in Murray when City Creek is closer to me, but I know that if I need MAC in any shape or form, I will come here first. As long as Nordstrom hires the top of the crop, I will be a loyal fan of their services and products. Well done! read more

Totally disappointed I shop here a lot spend thousands of dollars and brought a pair of $225 jeans back that totally bag out about an hour after you wear them and they wouldn't take them back which blows me away. I wore them twice and there reasoning was that I didn't have the card that I made the purchase with. I have a new card as mine was stolen. They could care less. read more

Always shop Nordstrom for my cosmetics. Last time they gave me colors that were way to light. Unfortunately there makeup department lighting is no where close to a natural light. Live in rural Utah so did not make it back for a while. They had me repurchase make-up. The girl agreed I never should have been sold the original foundation and powder. Just disappointed. The ONLY reason I would choose to shop at Nordstrom for children's shoes is for the service. We all know you can find everything they have online or even at Nordstrom Rack and other discount stores for much cheaper. But some of earliest memories as a little child were of my mom taking me to buy shoes and it was always so much fun because they'd measure your foot, bring out a few sizes along with a few other styles you might like, and they'd assist with putting the shoe on and making sure it's a perfect, comfortable fit. Well, our visit to this location was severely disappointing. I didn't even bring my kids to nordstrom for the "fun" of it, but we had just gone to Nordstrom Rack and promptly left because it was too hectic. So, I decided I was going to purchase all 4 of my kids new shoes and summer clothes at Nordstrom where I could get some help with fitting and selecting styles. But instead, we left empty handed and didn't even bother looking for clothes because the gal in children's shoes was completely uninterested in helping us out. She measured my daughter's foot, brought out 2 sizes, and dropped them off on the chair next to me and walked off. I was holding my infant son, so I wasn't able to get down on the floor and help my 3 year old try on shoes and make sure they fit right. I asked the sales person if she could give us a hand and she just seemed stunned and almost bothered. She just kinda stood there, so I decided to just do it myself. The shoe was too big. But instead of asking for another size we just decided to take our business elsewhere, since the girl had walked away and was doing something else. I don't even think she noticed that we had left. Very disappointing, and not what Nordstrom would find acceptable. read more

This is a nice elaborate store. You run into to some stuffy sales people especially in the mens department that seem to be on the lookout for a higher roller than you. Absolutely putting horrible, very un-Nordstrom-like, snotty customer service on blast. Last Saturday, I went to the store, intending to get several things. Stopped at hand bags & wallets to find a new wallet. Didn't matter if it was an anniversary sale item or not. I've been a loyal Nordstrom card holder since 1997. Its hot as hell here and I was in 'ath-leisure' attire, makeup done, etc. One associate was helping a customer and the other, a young woman, stood there chatting, all the while totally ignoring me even though she made eye contact. Seriously, its my biggest pet peeve having been in the sales industry for nearly 20 years. Just don't. Finally, I asked her to come over, snotty attitude and all, then she softened when she realized I was ready to throw down some bones and she'd get a nice little commission. I picked out a couple things and put them on hold while I ran to Lululemon to get something there. I said I parked right outside of Nordy's and would get my wallet, etc. on the way out. Better. Whatever- snotty, but I needed a new wallet especially. On my way out, I stood at the counter. No other customers around- quite quiet for a Saturday peak-time, mid-afternoon. Another young lady stood there looking between me and her cash register, not one word to acknowledge me, even though I'm just standing there, clearly waiting for help. An older lady comes behind the counter, pauses to give me a once-over, then ignores me as well and talks to the young lady. FORGET IT. I won't give my money and, eventual commission, to horribly trained associates who don't understand the basics of decent customer service, let alone Nordstrom policies. I thanked them both for not helping me even though I would've been spending hundreds with them, and it would take 5 min max to ring me up. So ridiculous. Bad service like that will for sure keep me from ever shopping there at that location again, sadly. Who knows if they judged me on my 'youthful looks' (I look ten years younger than i actually am), ethnicity, or attire but all of the above is irrelevant. NO WONDER people prefer shopping online so much these days- service in brick & mortars are beyond unacceptable. read more

First, let me help you people who are trying to review Nordstrom. There is NO "s" at the end of the store's name, nor is it a possessive. Those of us who actually patronize this store know this and we are truly irritated when people don't even know the name of the store they supposedly shop in. Second, those of you who say it is pricey, probably can't afford brand name, high end clothes. Nordstrom has a simple, but hard and fast rule; if you can find ANYTHING that Nordstrom sells for less money, they will match the lowest price found--anywhere. So when you say the prices seem high, you're simply saying you are shopping in a store that sells products that are beyond your budget. Now, as for as the store, itself, it as a good as a department store can be. All the sales associates are solicitous, courteous and tasteful. I recommend that you find a sales person who knows your individual style and tastes and stick with that person. Many people don't know that the person you select to sell you a suit can sell you anything in the store. I have used one very charming woman for several years. I spend between $200 and $500 every month with the same sales girl and the service is nothing short of perfect. I always enjoy my stops at the store and their well-earned reputation of no hassle returns is still in effect. This is a class operation. read more

Consistently bad service in the Men's Shoe Department. Everyone has the attitude as if I am troubling them for assistance and I don't feel welcome to shop the section at all. This is from everyone I have encountered there and it has not improved in the slightest. Last time I was there employees were even swearing around me. Like, I get it, whatever, but have some class dude. As a former Nordstrom employee from the Seattle area, this department is a poor representation of company standard. I went to the Mac counter today in search for a brand new makeup regimen. I went in and told the girl at the counter that I'd never tried Mac before and needed some help to find out what would work. She was so rude and the only thing she suggested to me was getting my face done for $50 or signing up for the $50 class. I was so upset that I walked out and went straight to sephora. The makeup artist there was so helpful and spent 20 minutes with me to get me taken care of. Ended up spending $300. You missed out Mac! Never coming to this location again. read more

@Nordstrom As a long long long time shopper at Nordstrom today I was overwhelmingly disappointed in their service and promises. One person FINALLY fixed it (I think) and she should be commended. HOWEVER a pair of sunglasses purchased on December 11 & scheduled to arrive by Dec 22nd was delayed until January 12th. (Crossing my fingers). 1. You screwed up my only Christmas present. 2. You failed to give consistent updates. 3. When called for updated info the stories told were always changing. 4. Every time I called I was incessantly pressured to cancel the order from my side due to a back order status. 5. Along with the lack of communication you (Nordstrom) decided to unilaterally cancel the order. Though you claim an email was sent saying so we never saw it. 6. Cancelled Christmas presents via e-mail aren't cool. 7. Again Kudos to the one girl who figured out where there was a pair in Chicago and redid the order. She alone raised the score a star. However despite her fix it is still a full month after they were first ordered and weeks after there was a delivery date given. 8. Sunglasses are still a current Tom Ford model so this isn't a matter of a hard to find or impossible to get discontinued item. 9. Because it is Friday night. I don't like being negative going into a weekend and.... 10. I really wanted to wear them this weekend. Thanks Nordstrom. read more

Nordys is pretty good for a dept store although it's on the expensive side which makes me hesitate. On the flip side you can return anything up to like a year I think very good return policy I must say. Nordstrom has become one of my favorite stores to shop at for makeup, clothes, accessories and homeware. But mainly for the makeup! I'm a big Bobbi Brown fan and most recently was introduced to Charlotte Tilbury by a wonderful sales associate. The makeup associates have always been so nice to help me chose products and try new colors on me. Nordstroms online website offers free shipping and returns which is another reason to shop from home when you can't get to the store. read more

Oh how I love it here! My first credit card was a Nordys and I have loved the benefits I have received. Great service. They are great to grab me things from other departments which is so helpful when shopping with kids and wanting to get out before everyone gets cranky. Great selection and I prefer to buy quality over quantity. I love following the Nordstrom Pinterest board too and have made trips in for what I have seen. The Birsto is also great! Sure the sale prices are nice and it's clean and most staff is friendly but it is very frustrating when every time I go in to buy something they never have what I need in my size or the make up I use or the size shoes. It's frustrating when you go down for something specific and all you hear from every department is "we can order it for you online" yah I can do that to from the comfort of my home. The cafe is awesome so that's a plus. Just wish they had more common sizes and product on hand so you don't have to wait for it to come in the mail. read more

It's ok if you like walking into a place where you get that used car sales man in your face about 85 times per second. Plus the girls in the cosmetics department are catty rude and don't always sell you the right stuff you need because it's commission based. They just try to sell you anything to make their goals then when you return or exchange anything they try to sell you more you don't need. It's also funny because Tori A. is a manager there whom actually is quite coy and snotty with customers. Really believable reviews from current employees in a sinking department that just can't get it right or keep enough product to even sell. I purchased an Eileen Fisher skirt (gathered chambray) in size small through the Nordstrom website. The skirt was far too large around the elasticized waist. I used to sew most of my clothing, but knew this would be a tricky job, so didn't even consider tackling it I took it in to see if it could be altered and was pleased to meet Lariska B. I had a trip I needed to take on a weeks notice and wanted some pants I got at the rack hemmed. They didn't have a tailor available until Tuesday so they referred me to the near by Nordstrom full line store and I was fine with that as I still needed a dark pair of pants as well. The sales person was very helpful and found me a pair I liked but the tailor refused to rush my pants from the Rack. I couldn't get them back by Thursday like the ones purchased from the full line store. Very disappointing. At other full line stores when I offer extra money they just do it. I guess in Utah they just have to much business to handle. read more

Great service upfront, poor service when you have to return something - probably because the staff doesn't get any commission on a return/exchange item. Case in point, their shoe department. My wife had to return/exchange a pair of shoes because they didn't fit properly. After spending a good 5-10 minutes trying to get someone to help us a reluctant guy came to "help." I don't know his name but he's the redheaded guy that must think a tiny mullet is back in style. He was neither nice nor helpful and in the end had to find someone else to just get a refund because we were done. I know Nordstrom is known for their great customer service, unfortunately Mr tennie mullet guy doesn't know that or didn't get the memo. read more

I'm really sad that I had a bad experience the last time I shopped here because this is the Nordstrom I usually go to and have loved it in the past. I went in a couple of days ago to buy some shoes for my toddler and found some that I was interested in. When the sales woman, I think her name is Ari, came to help me, I felt like I was being a pain and that she didn't care to help me. She brought out the shoes, set them on the ground and walked away. Never did she come over to check on us. I ended up leaving without the shoes and went somewhere else. I hope she is more friendly in the future so other people don't have a bad experience like I did. read more
