Terrible. My experience with mortgage brokers is that they can be somewhat dubious in integrity and ethical behavior at the best of times. But right off, Robert was extremely flaky and uncommunicative. After one short conversation, he immediately directed me to fill out an online application Right after I filled out the application he was suddenly unavailable and unresponsive. I had wanted to have a couple questions answered before moving forward and pulling my credit report, but he said he couldn't answer any questions without pulling my credit first! Trust is important, and if I can't trust you to answer one question before dinging my credit with a credit pull, then how can I trust you with my sensitive financial information, and to assist me in the loan process at all, let alone in integrity? read more

These people really have no clue how to get deals done, treat people with respect and honesty and are completely unprofessional so beware. I was working with nick b. Everything went ok initially. One week before closing they decided my rate hadn't locked weeks after signing the disclosures and gave me 2 options: wait and see how rates move going forward to see if we could lock in a similar rate (which would mean exposure to changing home price conditions and risk ending up with a much higher rate) or move forward with an increased price because they dropped the ball. They had even changed the price on me before during the process but I let that slide too. Nick even stated they messed up but continued to give me the run around as to what happened. I contacted his boss supposedly Kevin J. with an email laying out all details and didn't even get an acknowledgement of the email. I haven't written many reviews but felt compelled to write about my experience with Norcom. Home buying can be stressful and these guys made life easy on me! My wife and I relocated from California to Connecticut for work, so I had a hard deadline before I had to move. My closing date was scheduled 39 days from the day I first contacted Norcom. I mostly dealt with Cliff and Amber. Cliff was the loan officer who walked me through every step, kept me informed and was able to help get me the lowest market rate. Everything went smoothly and didn't have any hiccups with paperwork. The communication between my real estate agent and closing lawyer appeared seamless. Uploading documents to their website was a breeze. Cliff was able to push for the closing disclosure 1 week ahead of my closing date! It could have been sooner had I required it. I highly recommend Cliff as a loan officer the rest of Norcom's staff. Well done! I would definitely do business with them again. read more

Avoid at all costs if you're a Veteran. Or a potential homebuyer in general. These brokers, or at the least the one I dealt with called or emailed me DAILY when I was getting my paperwork together, and after I received my pre-approval. Two to three emails a day, and at least two phone calls a day. But when I say i'm going to call on a specific day at a specific time, he isn't there. I am not going to rush into anything and this is what It felt like the whole time dealing with them. But talk about treating Veterans poorly, I asked him to stop with the daily emails and phone calls. He immediately started yelling at me, and on his own, not on my request, on his own initiative he cancelled my pre approval. Just because i simply asked him to stop with the daily interraction. Would you want such a hothead dealing with your personal information? Offer a little bit of criticism and they immediately cancel you rather than listen to what you have to say? Now this guy has all my personal documentation. My tax forms, pay stubs, military paperwork, etc. I asked him to immediately return my personal information, so far no luck. Luckily I know what I qualify for now i have good credit and I can deal with a more reputable company for my mortgage needs. I can also do it at my pace, not theirs. This place and the broker were absolute nightmares. Please avoid at all costs. read more

I can't say it has been my best experience as there have been a few bumps in the road regarding the mortgage. The errors created were on their end in which it took some time to get fully resolved. I went through Norcom in obtaining my first VA loan. Dave, my loan officer, had been incredibly helpful walking me through all the steps and informing me of my privileges as a United States Veteran for this type of loan. If I am ever looking to purchase another home I would consider using Norcom again. read more

I have been meaning to write a review after I closed on my condo in May. I must say that because of the diligent work and extra effort from Mary Tigno my closing occurred within the tight timeframe. NORCOM almost cost us our house. Their loan specialist was very nice, on top of things etc. We turned all requests around extremely fast, as we were trying to avoid going up against our mortgage contingency in this frantic housing market due to Covid-19. The day we expected to get our clear to close, all of a sudden the bank they were working with (JP MORGAN CHASE) moved the goal posts, saying they needed more funding but wouldn't say how much. Basically, the bank didn't want to do a manual underwrite and NORCOM has zero leverage with the bank to get the deal done to save us, the customer. The loan specialist was very nice, professional and hard working. But had zero powers, leverage, etc. to actually get the deal done. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY, we found them through lending tree, and they should be removed as they are the worst place to go to for the most important asset of your life, your home! read more

Unfortunately, Norcom is not the company I thought they were. PLEASE STAY AWAY FROM THESE PEOPLE...... Norcom is not the actual problem, but once they sell your mortgage off, you will immediately have big problems. As Im now at the hands of RoundPoint Mortgage (who has more complaints on the BBB than any other mortgage company in the world). Do yourself a favor, if you are getting a home loan, and you see the name Norcom on there (or worse Roundpoint Mortgage), Run for the hills... They will take money out of your escrow account, and deposit it in their own bank account to gain the interest. They are part of the grand scam here, and I suggest you stay away if you dont want big problems. Dont believe me? Google them on BBB and read the complaints. Don't waste your time with this company when buying a house. Too much changes when I though the closure was about to start,the lady always put millions of obstacles.They break the contract indiscriminately ..and you never got informed.The representative just want you to sign electronically in a link that she sends by email,but you cannot see the information. DO NOT waste your time contacting Norcom mortgage if your credit score is anywhere around 620-630. They will flat out deny you. I was in that range when I got denied. So please know your score before you allow them to run your credit. Long story short, went with "First World Mortgage" and they were the BEST! bought my house and I'm happy. read more

AWFUL!!! Unresponsive, slow, impossible to reach by phone. We've been working on our mortgage application since Dec. 12. It's now February 6th and our seller is on the brink of pulling out of our contract after three extensions have been granted. Do yourself a favor and avoid Norcom at all costs. Norcom was the provider I worked with to receive my FHA loan for my first home. Within the first year they miscalculated my home owners insurance costs, double paid my property taxes, and a few months after transferred my service from Norcom Mortgage to Norcom mortgage (Dovenmuehle Mortgage, Inc.). At that point my auto pay was canceled, my new first two payments did not have the escrow taken out of them and added to my escrow account. Then my new escrow analysis said I was going to have a $2,700 shortfall even though my taxes went down somehow I am now paying $220+ more each month due to that analysis. I attempted to email them through their website outlining these issues, linking to ALL of my scanned statements, and my own personal accounts of my escrow (and what it should be). No reply was given over a couple weeks, I then called and was given the run around saying that the new servicer received nothing from the original loan company prior to the transfer and that I needed to resolve my issues with them not the current mortgage company. After calling the original mortgage company they stated they would open a case and get back to me in 24 hours. They also stated all of my information was given to the new provider. It has been just under a week and still no answer. I will be following up with them tomorrow and then will be taking legal action if nothing is resolved. I believe it is important for other consumers to realize the shady components of this business and seek other mortgage brokers. DO read more

I have had my loan through Norcom since 2012. It has been nothing but a headache the entire time. Every 6 months I receive a default notice from my insurance company because Norcom has not paid them and I have to spend hours calling them to try and straighten it out. They have changed providers for whom they collect payment through at least 3 times since I opened the loan. This means autodraft has to be reestablished each time and there is often issues with them taking out the correct amount or taking it out at all. This also means that there is not one place where you can look at your complete transaction history. I actually requested my transaction history and they sent me this disorganized mess of paper work that didn't even include all of the transactions!! Every year when I get my tax paper work together it is an extra challenge because you need at least two 1098 forms from the multiple collection agencies they have used. I also paid way more in closing costs than if I had went through a bank! New home buyers beware! read more

This review is in regards to two employees of Norcom Mortgage- Amber Duval, and Kristen Walther. I have worked with them on two properties now and I am writing this letter because of the most recent involvement I had with the both of them. I want to say that these two employees of Norcom are not Good employees. They are not good at all. The only words I can use to describe them are..... INCREDIBLE!!!! As a busy man myself, I understand the value of time so I will try to keep out the many details of the situation Kristen and Amber had with this particular loan. To begin with, I started out my loan with a different lender (I was pressured by my father in law to use a friend of the family) and when I was being let down time and time again I turned to Kristen simply for advice. With my closing data looming, I called her for advice on my situation. She said, "Ashan, do you want me to put my cape on and work my magic?" The only thing I could say was "Yes!" From that point on she handled my loan as if she was handling her first born. She was hands on and although I knew she was a branch manager I felt like my loan was the only loan she was working on. Kristen answered every email that I sent to her within minutes. I have a young son and sometimes the only time I have to collect my thoughts are at midnight. I would sometimes send out an email to Kristen expecting a response by 9 am. I would go to bed and check my email when I woke up and see that she had responded to my midnight email within 3 minutes. 'Am I dealing with a Vampire" I thought many a time only to be reminded that at noon, when the sun is at its brightest, I would get a response just as fast. Everything that could go wrong went wrong with my loan. By this I mean, with the short amount of time we had to close, all types of issues arose. Through the whole process I was always talked off a ledge by Kristen. If a document was needed I tried my best to get it turned around fast. If it was something Kristen or Amber can handle on their own, they handled it while giving me updates along the way. Buying a home is an incredibly stressful yet joyous occasion for a family. This is our first home (Kristen and Amber helped with an investment property prior to this) and as a husband and father I felt accomplished when I finally signed those papers. The day seemed like it would never come. On that date (June 12th, 2015) Kristen of course wanted an update or better yet a play by play of the situation. Like I said Phil, the back story to this is fit for a TV Series (maybe one day Kristen can fill you in on it) and I genuinely felt the happiness she had for me and my family. She truly did burden the stress and long long hours it took to close this deal and I could see it when I finally called/texted her when it was done. The genuine happiness she felt was real. It was more genuine than what some of my "close" friends of many years have shown. Not only is she brilliant and hardworking, she is truly a great person. Her bubbly personality keeps you engaged and her thorough understanding of the business keeps you confident in her abilities. I could write a 50 page letter about this experience I had but I could also write a 100 page letter about the person she is. I want to end with saying you are lucky to have someone like Kristen in your organization and Amber is a product of her hard work and she is also an incredible asset to your Business. Because of my experience with them, my kids will be dealing with Norcom mortgage long after I am done. I consider Kristen a GOOD friend from what we went through collectively. I am 100% sure that if you have worked with Kristen in the past you are reading this, you are probably nodding your head and acknowledging everything that I am saying because someone like Kristen doesn't just go under the radar. Everything I say is not a surprise to you but I want to make sure that someone knows. I want everyone to know what kind of person she is....... INCREDIBLE!!!! Thanks for your time! I am definitely saying that I need to leave a negative one star. I have been in the United States Navy for 21 years and my family of 6 moved cross country on a loan approval by Norcom Mortgage. We provided all documentation and was very confident seeing we found a home 20,000 less then our preapproval letter from Norcom. Well we were suppose to move in our home on the 16th of December and still do not even have loan commitment. This company has no compassion that we are a military family who traveled cross country now HOMELESS. No compassion at all. They will not even give us a disapproval letter in order for us to move on. So now we are in limbo with no home and it is Christmas. I have never felt so unappreciated as a Veteran who has spent 21 years defending our country to be treated this way. Absolutely the WORST. My realtor said the worst process she ever dealt with. After the lies, promises etc, I finally get my mortgage, whew right? Nope, I closed in April, first payment due in June, they reported me late to the credit agencies for May! They corrected it. 1st tax payment due in January, not made they finally made it, paid the interest and apologized. 1st year anniversary, received a cancellation letter from my homeowners because Norcom didn't pay it, another apology. In September, I received a late notice and fee.....my check cleared Sept 2nd. Guess what another apology...I demanded a letter for my records. FINALLY they sold my mortgage for October.......to another Norcom :( Just called to make my November payment and the NEW Norcom told me I owed for October.......My old Norcom said I never made Septembers payment. More phone calls....."Do I still have that letter they wrote me? They didn't keep records of it. " OMG, I should be on their payroll...........THEY SUCK!! RUN AS FAST AS YOU CAN IN THE OPPOSITE DIRECTION!!! read more

I really can't believe I am even having to write this but after the second chance was violated I feel obligated. First, they claimed they didn't receive payments until I proved the payments were sent by Capital One. I never received an apology for their mistakes on the grief it caused me. Fast forward to today, things had went fine with online bill payment. Suddenly I notice my payment was not withdrawn. No one ever contacted me, I had to contact them only to be told their processing company changed, For some reason, this required me to place multiple calls to the new processor and was told they don't have my account information yet. Sarah with Norcom then told me to send the check to them which I did. A few days later, I am receiving demand letters. Does anyone at this company write notes? How can they mess up someone's account multiple times? Unfortunately, they do not seem to take or read notes and even basic communication is bungled. No wonder they have a B- rating with the BBB! read more
