They even got the AMISH bakeries on their toes! Its THAT good. Nut covered Cruelers that are fully glazed, taste like a glaze donut cinnamon bun. There is nothing I have ever had like it. The cream sticks are so thick, soft , covered in different flavor icing that is thick then filled with their icing. Nothing comes close to this type of donut anywhere. Their cookies are thick, decorations on the cut outs are so different and cute. The cakes look very nice and I know the icing is great!!!!! They have different cake items like cupcakes, small mini cakes and soooo much more! You should drive that extra mile because it is the place. People were ordering cakes when I was there. You cannot leave Ohio without this one. Customer service with a smile would help. But other than that its the best long run bakery around

Johnnie's Bakery has all the old-school neighborhood bakery vibes. Huge selection with cases and…read morecases of donuts and pastries, and the ladies working there were incredibly friendly. I went with a chocolate creamstick, chocolate cake donut with peanut butter cream and frosting, and maple bacon in both the round and creamstick versions. The chocolate creamstick was soft and absolutely packed with cream. It reminded me of the old-school Krispy Kreme Long Johns. The chocolate frosting was a little too sweet for me, though--I wanted more actual chocolate flavor. The chocolate cake donut with peanut butter cream was better. Great chocolate/peanut butter combination, although the cake donut itself was a little drier than I prefer. Nothing some chocolate milk couldn't fix. The maple bacon creamstick was easily the Best of the Box. Great maple flavor, plenty of fresh, quality bacon, a soft donut and sweet cream filling. The salty bacon with the maple and cream was an excellent combination. This is the one I'd specifically recommend. My son got the maple bacon round, and since he'll eat basically anything sweet, we'll consider him an enthusiastic but unreliable witness. Not everything quite lived up to the considerable hype for me, but the maple bacon creamstick definitely did. Between that, the wonderful service and the enormous selection, there's plenty of reason to come back and explore more of the case.

I am giving a 5 star. *Cut outs are thick and icing is good…read more Cute variety of designs. *The brownies are perfection one of the best and I have tried many. *Peanut butter bars that are chocolate covered cut large and very very good. The donuts looked great with many different decorations. There was room for so much more. I had to ask if they sold cakes, a cake or mini decorated cakes would have been nice to see. A photo book, anything, if they have it...I was not told about it. The cookies looked average. Need updated to todays style a bit and topped with the items inside may help them look better. I love to see the Facebook page photos posted very often if not daily. The location could use gift boxes, balloon options, ribbons etc to make these LOVELY baked goods become a gift as the reason I did going there to begin with. If they have that option it was not suggested. The locatiin more than tough to find, after 4th try on WAZE app. I luckily found it. So thats a very big issue. I would BY FAR travel the extra 30 minutes just to go there. Its by far a stop as long as they are open to add to your day. Proud the staff does a very nice job!!!!!! Suggestions to staff: Decorate the cut outs let them dry well for hours or overnight covered on a rack and package in Cello bags. Great for gift giving, sanitary for staff events, stay fresh longer by far. Getting a box of goodies to go is nice but even the brownies and peanut butter bars can be sealed in cello bags to keep the product fresh and by itself in the box. Especially when things blend together in a box when driving. I was lucky to catch their very smart Christmas in JULY!!!!! Need more ideas if you care to hear, reach out. You are ALL THAT

A great spot within North Canton!…read more There aren't a ton of donut spots in the area, but if you ask anyone local to the area, Johnnie's is "the place" for the best donuts. A self-aware donut snob, I typically like to bring donuts in while I am making customer visits throughout my travels. I carefully research the areas that I am visiting for the best independent local donut shops. If I cannot find one, I refuse to entertain "big donut" chains. They're garbage, as my donut shop owning grandfather used to say. I've visited Johnnie's a couple of times. I'm easy - 1 or 2 dozen and I let them pick the mix as long as there are a few glazed mixed in each box. Always a hit when I bring them in and they are always appreciated. Would I go back? Absolutely. I'd like to believe that none of them ever get thrown away. I always make the suggestion to not throw any of them away. Take them home so they don't go to waste. Pro Tip: Get there early. Johnnie's is a gem but it's no secret. The locals flock to Johnnie's to get their donut fixes and they know to get there early.
